Yes, some out-of-footprint sats are a little out of arc and your dish needs to be in perfect alignment in order to bring them in.

For best results concentrate on nilesat. For motorised, make nilesat your focus when tracking the arc and all other distant sats should come in with a few exceptions.

Hey guys, it’s been quite a time I came here. I’ve been doing some experiment with my 2.4m strong pan ground mount dish & fuji quad lnb. I motorized my dish and came out with these findings:
The following satellites are on the same arc;
1. 68.5E        97%
2. 36E           97%
3. 28.2E        80%
4. 26E           61%
5. 5E             97%
6. 22W          97%
7. 31.5W       60%
pls anybody with more on the same arc should feel free to add. Though I’m still experimenting, doing some tweaking and alignment. Thanks

@gadator the sat 31.5 has been there for some months, i couldn't get it with 90cm from lagos nigeria. let's know the right size of dish to nail the bird.

@all any info on when nigcomsat1-R and the new nss sat will commence beaming to west africa.

You need a minimum of 3.5m dish if you want to nail hotbird without freezing of videos.

Pls gurus in the house. Have been trying for the past three days to mail w6 with 80cm dish but could not hit green.what is the ideal dish size to mail this bird. I stay in Oyo State and Ibadan to be precise. Your response and suggestion will be highly welcomed. Thanks.

A good 80cm dish can do the job,just make sure u use good ku lnb like supermax ,fuji or digisat lnbf.

@ikiriye with 3mt you are good to go on hot bird, with my 2.4mt pan iam enjoying alot in hotbird so you can imaging what u will get with 3mt happy tracking

If you're getting it from that same source as discussed, you'll do well to stick to a minimum size of 3.5m.
