Johans2023:Even if the government decided today to pay Naira 100,000, it would still be less than $84 dollars at this point in time. So, Labor needs to continue pushing or else, more and more Nigerians are only looking at settling into life in extreme poverty. ![]() 2 Likes |

muyico: If you can't pay your workers living wages, then you have no business employing them. You need to get serious please. Nigeria is a poor nation, yet your leaders pocket almost twice more than leaders in America, China, and Japan. Labor should shut down the nation abeg! |

captianfreeman: Yeah... You mean states like Kogi where their governor can afford to pay over 750,000 Dollars into a school's account for his kid's education?!! Those can afford to pay... They simply choose not to, as that would affect the amount they steal every month. 4 Likes |

RealKaydollar:Most of those Governors don't need to be governors at all. If a state is not producing anything, it should be scrapped the same way a company that is always in the red should be. Many of the states are not producing at all so I don't understand why the Nigerian people are being forced to continue propping them up. ![]() |

AyeMoJuba: 21 Billion just to refurbish a mere VP's house (not to build and equip hospital o) 90 Billion just to subsidise Hajj pilgrimage Over 200 Million to each lawmaker in the last one year (mere allowances o) Over 1 Billion spent by state governors on feeding and accommodation every month (not yearly but monthly) Yet, you believe Labor is being unreasonable and unrealistic. 2 Likes |

Kobojunkie: Over 80 Million Nigerians are already settled fully into extreme poverty as we type here. For a nation that can afford the following: 21 Billion just to refurbish a mere VP's house (not to build and equip hospital o) 90 Billion just to subsidise Hajj pilgrimage Over 200 Million to each lawmaker in the last one year (mere allowances o) Over 1 Billion spent by state governors on feeding and accommodation every month (not yearly but monthly) Everything is seriously wrong with Nigerian leaders and citizens, especially the ones supporting them. 1 Like |

The only option for workers in the table is for the Labour unions to go for another round of strike cos’ it will be no retreat no surrender. This time around it will be total shutdown. Nigeria government under Tinubu never fair to Nigeria workers and its people. It’s fight to finish for Nigeria workers. Besides they shouldn’t have suspend the strike in the first place. Nigeria political office holders never like the masses to strive. They just love Nigeria and its workers to be under them for the rest of their lives. 1 Like |

In May of 2022, for example, Naira was worth about $0.002409 meaning the Naira 30,000 minimum wage paid to Nigerian workers was worth approximately $72.27. Fast forward to this offer from the government today, and you will find that Naira 62,000 is a pay cut for Nigerian workers as it is worth nothing more than $42.14. For the NLC to at least return to what the people earned before the Naira crisis of around $72.27, it has to demand at least Naira 106,325.07, but this is not to be confused with an increase in salary at all. as it only ensures that they are all raised just above extreme poverty levels to pre-Naira-crisis levels. 1 Like 1 Share |
