What people should be clamouring about is for certain political class to have massive paycuts to boost the economy.

Payment of 70k and above minimum wage doesn't make a governor a wonderful governor. Edo and the others that are paying them what other development that are going on.

Actually, our politicians and even the so-called NLC leaders deliberately refused to understand "minimum wage". It's no minimum wage if it doesn't include the private sector. UK is a wonderful minimum wage template we should imbibe, not just focusing on civil servants only. We no dey learn good things; na bad thing we dey learn from the Oyinbos.

I have been saying it for weeks, you cannot pay a man more than his output and the reality is that the output of the Nigerian worker is very low N150k a month on average. Average according to civil service scale is a graduate with a few years experience.

Minimum wage is not supposed to “take you home”. You are not supposed to be comfortable on minimum wage otherwise you would have no incentive to improve yourself or your productivity.

1) He said nowhere in the world do you pay a minimum wage higher than 30% of GDP per capita.

Oga that’s why poverty is a disease. Anyone who told you life is fair lied to you. There is no system of government anywhere in the world that was designed for the poor. Every system of govt everywhere in the world since the dawn of time was designed for the few. Forget their propaganda, the only interest any govt has in the poor is to prevent a riot so the elites can enjoy their privileges in peace and since the Poor of Nigeria are all talk, make stupid choices, prefer to pray than to work, no one is going to,fight for you unless you fight for yourselves. So to answer your question what is their output? More than the minimum wage worker that’s why they are there and the minimum wage worker is where he is. If the minimum wage worker had what it takes to be earning the millions he wouldn’t be earning minimum wage. If the average Nigerian had what it takes to earn the millions they wouldn’t be average Nigerians. Clearly those earning these sums have something those who don’t lack. It could be intelligence, it be be qualifications, it could be access, it could be contacts, whatever it is it come with deliberate effort, not shouting asking why are you earning more than me! That is why I said you get what you work for in life.
