Corruption,corruption,corruption,...this menance is killing this nation,i worked in aviation industry for a while,The truth is the Airworthiness of most aircraft fly around is questionable,yet the so called NCAA keeps certifying them OK after each phase of "check" abroad.which is often used as an avenue to tranfer money into foreign accounts...how many Nigerian engineers can stand face to face with his airline MD and maintain a stand of not signing out an aircraft for a flight..the fear of losing that job, and getting double crossed at the NCAA for liecense renewal would not allow such courage.How many foreign pilots has refused to fly an aircaft with unserviceable components(GPS,RADAR,etc)and get their contract renewed.

How come an airline will present two 20-25yrs old aircrafts and would be licenced for commercial operation and these aircrafts would do an average of 8 landings a day at that age!!

We need the Directorate of Airworthiness of the NCAA to be Managed by people that has the fear of God in their hearts and would not compromise standards.
Nigeria needs to be conscious of indians managing businesses in nigeria,corrupt systems here enable them to have their ways in various sector of our economy.Our Edo and Delta people in the aviation industry needs to change their ways....

The corruption we are talking about is when you are tipped to allow an aircraft that is not air worthy to carry passengers,it mostly happens to our local aircraft because they buy rejected planes that the makers cannot even guarantee anymore and they get local people to service them as oyinbos would not even advice you to service such planes anymore as their lifespans is due.That is the corruption we're are talking about.Developed countries would not allow such planes land in their airports,I have never been in any of the local nigerian aircraft before but I have listened to peoople talk about it and imagine why they risk their lives.Such a pity

As much as i desire a change in the pdp-led govt, i will like to advise Buhari as an elderly statesman to encourage other young politicians who has the interest of this nation at heart to contest the next election. The blame of death of the passengers is ours as a country....we failed them! Everybody failed them! The pilot was an hero...he landed the plane on the roof of the building. if the claim of 20minutes before explosion is correct, then we are guilty of their death. 20minutes is a lot of time to save as many as were alive and unconscious in the plane. In a country where things work, 20minutes is a lot of time. The pilot made a distress call 11 nautical miles away, and yet no emergency rescue operation on ground! This is ridiculous. Corruption has killed Nigeria! This is madness! Why do people sacrifice human lives for material gain in Nigeria...why...why...why...this is heartbreaking! Where are we going as a nation? Nowhere is safe again in Nigeria...all our leaders are corrupt...Silver in court and EFCC net for alleged N2B fraud; Ibori has been sentenced by u.k court,Bankole has been arrested by EFCC for fraud ....that's what we see and read every day about our leaders!
