Old Wizard:

The North is not selfish and not fighting for power. In what ways have the North benefited more than the south? You have all the indixes-economy, education, health, which one is better in the North than South? In what ways have you benefited from GEJ presidency because he is a southerner? You don't get it.

It's better said some people in the North are fighting for power. Won't you be happy if there is a president from the North that can give us all the amenities we lack in Nigeria? Won't you be happy if GEJ is providing such things? Has he been a great president? What has been his impact in the south where there is peace?

Why are you defending a failure? Why is it difficult to see that GEJ is failing and does not give a damn?

So the North is not fighting for power, abi? Ok we believe you.

GEJ's biggest failure, for me, is his stance against State /Local Police and true Federalism. He is being foolish by being against State/Local Police and return to true Federalism. I know he fears it'll lead to the end of Nigeria and might cause secession, but we can't keep running away from it. State Police will help sort out Bokos. It might be abused, just like the current FG police, but it'll put the problem of Bokos sorely on the shoulders of the affected State and Local Govt. and they'll fix it. No outsider can fix this Boko problem.

Outside of this I really can't see how else he can tackle Bokos. It's alway easy to criticize without really thinking, especially those we love to hate.

Dr. Wise:
Why don't we just keep mum and watch the north ravege their economy? Why don't we let them continually kill and devastate their area?

We in the south should be happy for every bomb that goes off up north as it sets them 5 years behind the South.

That sentence can only come from a deluded mind.

You are a person. A person of unbelieveable, inexcuseable and indescribable stupidity. (Stupidity being defined as "knowing how and doing it wrong anyway"wink

Old Wizard: Suicide Bombing has become the norm now. GEJ is incompetent and too busy with Bayelsa politics to make any impact.
Nothing good can ever come out GEJ presidency.

Make una vote wisely come 2015.

You are blind, deaf and ignorant.
Listen carefully, you people can practice all your politics of hate, it will affect you most, because you cannot take on Nigeria in frontal battle; you will continue to send 15 year olds to blow themselves up for the pockets corrupt 70 year old murderers.

You lose elections and kill youth corpers, then set off boko haram as a political tool; yet you are demonic enough to use it as a campaign tool?
I pity you, bro.

I will vote GEJ if he stands in 2015, lets see if people like you will then set off nuclear weapons in your villages in protest. Ode! angry

Blame everything on the North! It does not change the fact that your pay master is incompetent.

Come 2015, would he run on a record of failure?
Would he say Nigeria is more secured than he met it?
Would he say see I have transformed the south where there is peace?
Would he blame the northerners for the corruption in his government?

A miracle can not even help your paymaster. He is a failure.

What if I say GEJ is using Boko Haram to destabilise the North so that voting will not take place in the North in 2015? Would you buy my idea? You see, we are both speculating. You can't prove your allegation. I can't prove mine.

A truly competent leader would rise up to the occasion and arrest the situation. GEJ is incompetent. Yar'Adua did not say the SS governors were sponsoring MEND to destroy his government. He found a way around the problem and to his credit brought the peace of grave yard in the creeks today.

Why is it difficult for you guys to just accept that GEJ is a non starter?

See where your foolishness has led you? This is where your propaganda has failed. The GEJ you call incompetent was the one that solved the Niger Delta problem, not Yaradua. You see where you have roped yourself. GEJ put every thing in place and personally went to the creeks to do the negotiations against security advise. He risked his life to save the day. Yaradua was seating there in Aso rock without a clue. The only credit to Yaradua was that he endorsed the move. He didn't have a choice anyway because everything was crumbling like a pack of cards in his face.

The committee setup to look into the crisis recommended amnesty for the militants. Yaradua rejected the report for almost one year until the oil productiom hit an all time low of 700k barrels. They told him the nation would go into a serious crisis and he had no other choice because the military JTF could not stop the militants.

When the chips were down, GEJ saved the day and now you call him incompetent. So who is a fool now. Mugu!

You will continue talking stup!dly until 2015 is past. The North - South thing only exists in your shallow mind, anyway.

Who should we blame for boko haram? Igbo or Yoruba people?
Who should we blame for the massacres after the Dutch cartoons of Muhammed, Itsekiri and Urhobo people?
If you like, do not blame yourself. Keep campaigning with the blood of your very own relatives and looking for far off people to blame.

You sound thoroughly stup!d, bro.

You lost the elections, deal with it and move on. Killing your brother will not change the power stakes, it will only make you a bereaved murderer, an object of derision.

Thanks, bro. Yar Adua's people even laughed at him for being so foolish as to want to fly into the creeks around Warri and Bayelsa; they thought he would never return, afterall militants had blown up his house and killed people in his compound.
GEJ met Tompolo in his den and it all changed.

Yar Adua on the other hand had spent $3.3billion equipping JTF to wipe out the Niger Delta, a mission which turned out to be a stark failure, both in vission and in the battle theatre.

Why Jonathan visited Tompolo’s militant camp in 2009 – Kuku
Wednesday, October 12th, 2011
Emma Amaize

12 October 2011, France, PARIS- Special Adviser to the President on Niger-Delta and Chairman, Presidential Amnesty Committee, Kingsley Kuku has explained the circumstances surrounding the visit of President Goodluck Jonathan to the dreaded militant den, Camp 5, in Delta State in 2009.

President Goodluck Jonathan who was then vice president had visited the dreaded militant den, Camp 5 to confer with ex-militant leader, Government Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo, and other Niger-Delta agitators.

Kuku, who was one of the three persons that boarded a presidential jet with Dr. Jonathan from Abuja to Warri and proceeded with a boat, guarded by militants from Escravos to the den, where former militant leaders from across the region were waiting for him, said it was to save the Niger-Delta region from being destroyed by the military.

The special adviser who spoke at a programme in Paris with the French Institute of International Relations, facilitated by the Hope for Niger-Delta Campaign, HNDC, a Non Governmental Organization, NGO, based in The Netherlands, founded by Comrade Sunny Ofehe., said that nobody, including the nation’s top security chiefs , gave him (Jonathan) a chance of returning to Abuja alive because of the fear of militants.

Kuku gave the glory of the final declaration of amnesty to the late Yar’Adua and said the former President had already given the military the red flag to commence a cleansing operation, but it was put on hold against security advice following the counsel of his deputy, Dr. Jonathan that he should be given a last minute opportunity to reach out to the leaders of the fighters.

“You cannot separate former President Yar’Adua from President Goodluck Jonathan in terms of the amnesty programme , we owe the glory of the amnesty programme to Yar’Adua, the military had been given the red flag to commence cleansing military operation in the Niger Delta when President Jonathan, against security advice, choose to go to the dreaded Camp 5.”

“The President told him, Mr. Vice President, you cannot go to the Niger-Delta, even Britain, everybody had written a no visit order to their citizens at the time. He (Jonathan) was given a last minute opportunity when he volunteered to go to the creek to ensure that without war, this matter is resolved. Against all odds, the President told him if you think the military should not be used, you go home and talk to your brothers.

Again, I was privileged to be one of the three persons that boarded a presidential aircraft without security with him from Abuja to Delta, took an helicopter to Escravos and from Escravos, went by boat, guided and guarded by the ex-agitators and their threatening guns and ammunition, we went to their camp and discussed, peace was extracted at that moment and we came back, by the time the vice president returned, so many people did not believe that he was going to return”, he asserted.

Kuku explained that it was Jonathan’s gallantry and peace that was extracted that emboldened President Yar’Adua to say, “Well it means it (amnesty) is possible, so let us proclaim it. It was actually a test proclamation that was made, it was Jonathan that actually counseled by physically visiting and ensuring that peace was extracted and we got about the Roadmap to Peace Committee, the Technical Committee on Niger-Delta and everything came on board and amnesty was proclaimed June 25”.

“Interestingly, our late President had an opportunity never to accept t or to accept he counsel of his vice president. But he accepted because he believed while he lived the fact that Niger-Delta had suffered so much and needed attention in terms of development. Today, he is no more, but two years of our marking amnesty, we gave him the glory”, he stated.

This is an interview granted by Henry Okah, a known face in MEND activities, yet the faceless revisionists are singing praises to Dumbo Jumbo:

When the late President Yar’Adua offered the general amnesty, did you accept it? Did you sign official documents saying so?

With President Yar’Adua’s offer of amnesty, there was a standard form signed by all who accepted the government’s offer of amnesty. This form renounced militancy, armed agitation and was supported by other conditions laid out by the government for fighters to be assimilated into the ensuing demobilization program.

I refused to sign this form and rejected all conditions attached to it by the Nigerian government. I merely accepted to be released to assist in dialogue towards a just resolution of the crisis in the Niger delta. My position was acceptable to President Yar’Adua.

What’s your view of President Yar’Adua? What type of a man was he? Did you both get along?

It is my opinion that President Yar’Adua was a kind man with good intentions for Nigeria. His untimely death diminished the possibility of a lasting resolution of the Niger delta crisis.

Like many people, President Yar’Adua may have misunderstood me initially. But our meetings helped him understand me and vice versa.

What are the personal promises he (Yar’Adua) made to you? For instance, did he offer you money and contracts and oil blocs? Did you accept? If yes, why and can you quantify them; if no, why not?

All meetings with President Yar’Adua were discussions towards finding a just solution to the never ending circle of violence in the Niger delta. He promised to do all in his power to justly address the concerns of the people of the Niger delta and he was doing just that before his death.

What were the promises he made vis-à-vis the Niger Delta struggle? And did you think he was going to keep to his promises?

President Yar’Adua explained the complications involved in repealing legislations which robbed the people of the Niger delta of their land and promised measures to alleviate the suffering of the Niger Delta people and policies intended to promote participation of Niger Delta communities in the oil industry. President Yar’Adua never ruled out the possibility of national dialogue aimed at restoring the stolen lands of the people of the Niger Delta and other parts of Nigeria. His death prevented his sincerity from being tested.

It’s been three years or so since the general amnesty was offered. What’s your assessment of it? My understanding is that thousands of youths are being sent abroad for training.

President Jonathan’s demobilization program has no direction and is a massive fraud on Nigerians in several ways. Firstly, he is promising the country peace in the Niger delta without addressing the underlying factors responsible for militancy. Secondly, those benefiting from President Jonathan’s misuse of public funds were not involved in the armed struggle.

Virtually all fighters who partook in the attacks subsiding in 2009 are in the cities of the Niger Delta or re-armed and in the creeks, so who is Jonathan’s government training in universities abroad?

Presently there are ten times more camps than existed in 2009 and a steady influx of weapons into the creeks and cities of the region. Nigerians should wait a few months or one year at the most to test President Jonathan’s boast to having achieved an enduring peace in the Niger Delta.

The military avoids explaining to Nigerians that “bunkering” is facilitated by well-armed militia groups which have taken over territories previously occupied by those commanders now hiding in Abuja. If these ex-commanders had any sort of control over their former territories there would be no need for security contracts or the re-equipping and strengthening of the JTF. Piracy, abductions for ransom, hijacking of vessels carrying refined products and criminality is on the rise. Oil industry vessels and trawlers now pay toll daily to traverse the territories of new commanders and it is only a matter of time before the delta re-erupts.
How did you feel after the untimely death of President Yar’Adua? After his passing, did you reach out to his family?

I had no direct access to Mr. Yar’Adua’s family but extended my sympathy to them through a few of his close aides who I met on my earlier visits to Aso Rock.

Upon the death of President Yar’Adua, I sensed that the Niger Delta and Nigerians were in big trouble. President Jonathan, though from the region, to this day does not understand the problems of the people and how to solve them? Goodluck Jonathan has adopted tactics employed by President Obasanjo such as bribing a few people; arresting dissenters and suppressing the media and news from the Niger Delta to create the illusion of peace in the region.

These short term measures are intended to mislead Nigerians long enough for President Jonathan to complete a term in office if possible. All his policies relating to the Niger Delta do not, in any way, address the root cause of agitation; but rather reward violence and those engaged in violence as a means to seeking justice in the delta.

If President Jonathan survives a full term in office, he will be bequeathing to his successor, a worse Niger Delta than he inherited.

That's from Henry Okah, deal with it. Fooooools.

What, in your opinion, are the fundamental differences between Yar’Adua and Jonathan?

I did not know President Yar’Adua well enough to compare him with Jonathan. I however believe him (Yar’Adua) to have been sincere in his intentions for Nigeria. Goodluck Jonathan on the other hand I know to be lacking in initiative. He is indecisive, vindictive and sometimes petty. President Jonathan relies heavily on gossip in making major policy decisions and is unable to form an independent, unsentimental and unbiased opinion on any serious matter.

HAhahahahahahaha! So how many of those intelligent malams are in the private sector? id1ot! Why are they not in the private sector? Yeah you have guessed right! No quota system in the private sector! You have had the advantage to place yourselves in the government structures throughout the military years. Nice one. But its all changing now. Thanks to OBJ, he has balanced the military and over the next couple of years, everything will be even. The civil service is almost even too. Just the judiciary is left. We will sort it out!

The north is responsible for Nigeria's backwardness. For all the years they had been ruling, the northern elites (paupers) were even so wicked as not to have made their stone age region a work of MASTERPIECE. Old wizard you might not be bad, but i sense your anger because it is your people who are destroying NIgeria and you and your other fellows on this are trying to defend yourselves!
