Politics / Re: Nairaland Political Party? by BOSS7: 10:38pm On Feb 03, 2009
TO be honest, the idea has got me thinking and I feel it's very possible. I would like to support whichever way we could and I think it's what we can do as a group of youths colletively. It's got me having butterflies in my stomach already.

I believe we'll have the usual troubles which is inevitable in any group but I believe. YES WE CAN.

pixiraver:

so if there are Nigerians anywhere in the world i think they deserve to live there as long as their stay is legal.
Very legit argument. I agree with you and withdraw my statement. Though I mentioned shooting someone in the name of "thinking he's Nigerian is not an excuse in my post above".

Nigerians need to do more and more to take back the title as the father and Mother of Africa.

I think this is what it all boils down to.

You're very right my brother.

Bros, What I wanted to write will seem insultive but I thought we should rather make sense to ourselves than argue. How can Nigerians hope be on this countries mentioned abeg ?

Pls if you believe this countries are OK for then say it is on your own will but dont speak on behalf of Nigerians cus some of us dont even pray to transit or smell this countries.

LOL, Bros, I don't see it as an insult but I understand where you are coming from. However, what we are basically doing is seeing things from a bird's eye view and actually looking at the bigger picture with objectivity taken it consideration and throwing the bias attitude ot of the window. These countries most of us menioned of course cannot stand Nigeria when it comes to the human resources and even we'll rub shoulders with them when it comes to slugging it out in terms of power, natural resources, money or what have you.

But, come to think of it, these countries have demonstrated better leadership abilities and equalities when it comes to wealth redistribution and putting food on the table by proxy i.e. basic amenities (water, electricity, good transport etc) hence people could afford to feed themselves, social care is not a big issue, corruption is not the biggest isue on the agenda and when people also die, poverty is not the reasons their families complain about. Come to think of it,these countries all have one thing in common and that is putting the interests of the people first. You don't read daily about the police officers killing their own citizens, not would you read of the police officers fighting with the soldiers and one sect killing the other.

I don't want to go on too much but I want you to feel why most of us are think Nigeria needs to do more to display the giant attitude that we profess. I hope you get my drift.  wink

NB: Neither would I'll change Nigeria for these countries (in Africa) I mentioned as developed.

Let's not just totally shift the blame on these South Africans. If Nigeria as a country is as good, would Nigerians flood to South Africa in their thousands/millions? However shooting someone because you think he's a Nigerian is not an excuse for shooting him.

Your written words terrifies me. How can a whole nation of 149, 999 999 people allow one OLD MAN like OBJ to dictate Their destiny. I have said it and would say it again NIGERIANS are cowards. Anytime i listen to any of fela tracks it so relevant to what is happening today even though it was written over 35 years old.

Sad but very very true.

Who will stop fuel-kerosene mixture from getting into the car? The british

Who allowed those bad leaders in the first place ? The british

Come on dude, the Brits left the shores of Nigeria (as commanders) more than 49years ago and so if we Nigerians love each other the way the Brits love themselves (not all of them of course), then we should be able to say NO when they ask us to mix kerosene with petrol. Don't you think?

So the answer still boils down to the Nigerian people as the solution to Nigeria's problem.

Its now very clear that these "i love nigeria more than my mama" are; fraudstars, thugs, bullies, insincere and corrupt. Very typical of most nigerians. Otherwise, why would one of them by name i_laugh fraudulently impersonate a law abiding nigerian; B.O.S.S to display malicious comments in internet medias?
Only if the moderators here are active, this site (Nairaland) would be better. Not only that, he (i_laugh) also created a username for Kobojunkie -http://www.sandoka.com/Kobojunkie and hence one of his posts "asking people to type Kobojunkie onto google". He (i_laugh) is a fraud but it doesn't bother me.

I hear , failed Country. No hope at all . You guys can complain all you can especially behind your computer. If you are not ready fight it simply equates to no CHANGE. This shit will forever happen. Chop and pass on to your children so they chop as well.

Most advance countries will never allow this to happen. Major conflict of interest.
How do you think we could fight though? I think a lot of people are fed up and are willing to fight however the manner of approach is what's remained a puzzle.

I am sure it is a dawn of new things in Nigeria. I watched CCTV images of armed robbery live in a bank in Nigeria, the police used these images to capture a few of the armed gang members.

This is a great development, I am sure this is just the begining. I expect doom sayers to rubbish this as usual.

YOU REALLY ARE LOSING IT RIGHT NOW. YOU ARE BARKING MAD!
