Computers / Nigerians! Glo Is Exposing Your Phone Number To The Whole Internet by dee5(m): 3:04am On Dec 16, 2015
this is a simple disclosure notice to all who care to know! if you are using a glo sim card for browsing, visit http://whatheaders.com/
and you will see how Glo sends your phone number with every request you make to the internet look for msisdn entry and you will see
your phone number there.

Implications: this means if you visit a telemarketer's website, they dont need to ask for your phone number anymore because Glo
just gave it to them in your web request headers. And if you are unfortunate to stumble upon a stalker or serial killer over the internet,
the can prank call you and pry personal information from you and attack you because Glo has already made your phone number available to them. Also, there's the danger of identity thieves and other forms of vices on the internet.

Also if such attackers have access to your sim registration data on glo's storage servers? oh well, there goes your private data!

Well Glo mobile just handed all these criminals your "private" phone number on a platter of Gold!

This is just to let the populace know.
Crime / How IKEDC (ikeja Electric) Is Robbing The Poor And Giving To The Rich by dee5(m): 2:55pm On Nov 12, 2015
It is no news that the power sector of Nigeria has been privatized and as such the role of electricity distribution now rests on the
shoulders of private companies. One of such companies is ikeja distribution company situated in Lagos.

Now, I am using this medium to bring to the knowledge of every discerning Nigerian the day light robbery being perpetrated by
the aforementioned Company. We all know that some "high-brow" areas within lagos enjoy almost 24 hours of uninterrupted power
supply every day of the week while most "low-brow" areas of the state are witnessing erratic power supply.

Also, Despite this huge gap in the availability of electric power supply in the above mentioned areas, it is sad to note that the monthly
power bill charged the two classes of customers (i.e those who enjoy more frequent power supply, and those who are left in a black-out)
both pay grossly equal averages in monthly power bills.

What this means is that whether you are getting a steady supply of electricity or not, you are paying for the cost of the usage of the few "Elites"
who are enjoying 24 hours of electricity. This to me is a typical example of a company whose business ideal amounts to robbing the poor to give to the rich. In other words, it means we the majority of electric users in lagos state are forced to foot bills of the electrical usage of the "elites".

This to me is another form of corruption on the part of this particular private company in question. And it should be discouraged. What i advocate is an even distribution of electricity to every part of the state. Let them rationalise the available supply of electricity allocated to
Ikeja Electricity Distribution company. And Let them stop this corrupt and prefential treatment being metted out to citizens of this state.

- Written from araromi bus/stop, lasu-isheri expressway, igando. an area currently suffering from the injustice of this private power distribution
company.

Politics / Re: Senators In Emergency Meeting Over Saraki- Daily Trust by dee5(m): 8:43am On Sep 20, 2015
in the game of power, anything goes. the master planner is an invisible hand. the schemer who assumes formlessness is almost invincible
while the schemer who takes on a form gives his opponent something to attack. If tinubu is responsible for saraki's woes, then he is most likely to succeed. why? simply because he has silently kept himself from media attention while beaming media attention on saraki. Tinubu's TVC is was not setup to yield him profits it was setup as an instrument meant for tinubu to use at will to orchestrate the country's media into doing his bidding.

If saraki wants to survive this, he can make a peace deal with tinubu behind the scenes but publicly maintain his tough stance. If he fails to do this then he is sure doomed. why? because Tinubu will keep nibbling and gnawing saraki's reputation away bit by bit untill saraki's political appeal is reduced to naught.

Give or take, Saraki is finished because he has no powerful allies in the helm of affairs he is not even in the good books of Buhari. Even if he escapes this ordeal another one will surface within a month.

Advice to senate: Stop fixating on Saraki's problems try to carry out the duties you were elected to do. Else saraki's problem will preoccupy you throughout this 8th assembly and that will be detrimental to your political reputation.

Crime / Re: Stanbic IBTC Bank Return My Money Immediately!!! by dee5(m): 7:57am On Sep 20, 2015
instead of condemning the shady banking ethics inherent in banks in nigeria you are here trying to sap my energy... what do you stand to benefit from what you are doing? or are you employees of IBTC in disguise on the forum?
Crime / Re: Stanbic IBTC Bank Return My Money Immediately!!! by dee5(m): 7:50pm On Sep 19, 2015
@jamex93 @broxymall maybe your bank works 24 hours through weekends, but IBTC doesn't. and maybe you haven't had a financial issue
with your bank and visited their branch while the customer care is giving you a load of banking protocol jargon while your money is in the limbo. kindly allow me to voice my disappointment through any method that pleases me.
It might interest you to know that these Nigerian banks responds more swiftly to such protest on the internet than they respond to those who visit their branches. Also did i mention that this is weekend? and most banks don't open over the weekend. Hence my choice of this medium.
So please allow me to do what i have in mind. I am the one who's having the issue not you.

Crime / Stanbic IBTC Bank Return My Money Immediately!!! by dee5(m): 4:36pm On Sep 19, 2015
This Is My ordeal with a bank (Stanbic IBTC Nig plc) which is posturing itself all over the social media network as
a bank that aids you in moving forward. meanwhile behind the scenes, there are sinister and nasty things happening to
account holders in the bank.

Here's My ordeal:

On 9/18/2015 11:09:45 AM I made a purchase worth N6,315.00 at a grocery bazaar near my residential address at igando and paid with my atm via POS
thereafter i proceed to withdraw NGN6,000 from an atm machine in the same premises. i received an alert for the cash withdrawal of NGN6,000.00 but never recieved an alert for the NGN6,315 purchase. however my new balance on the alert I received reflected NGN 8,312.53 from NGN 20,627.53.

Now simple arithmetic will suggest that i have been debited for the POS puchase even as i didn't receive an alert to that effect. then to my surprise on the 9/19/2015 7:41:53 AM, i recieved a debit alert for NGN6,315 and to my surprise the amount was deducted from my balance of NGN 8,312.53 now leaving me with a balance of NGN 1,697.53.

I was shocked because this has never happened to me with any other bank. however i called their customer care line repeatedly till i was able to squeeze a promise from the representative that she will resolve the issue and get back to me via a phone call.

However, i got no phone call and my money is still not reversed to my account as at the time of this writing. Now how does Stanbic IBTC expect me to trust them with this criminal act they are perpetrating on my account?

This annoys me beyond words and i will keep publishing this for all to see and to prevent other potential customers from falling into the same money trap i have fallen into. Am i wrong for giving IBTC a chance to prove their banking abilities?
Immediately i get my money back I am fleeing this thieving bunch of shady bankers and stick to the former banks where i operate my
other accounts.

Stanbic Refund My money else this post of mine will be all over the internet in minutes and even if this post is taken down, i'll open a blog immediately and resurface this post! refund my money now! i tweeted at you IBTC bunch but no response! my twitter handle is @manofsolidsteel in case you are wondering which of your customers you have wrongly victimized.
Phones / Re: AWESOME! Turn Your Laptop/pc Into Wifi HOTSPOT With Ucweb For Free by dee5(m): 9:28am On Sep 06, 2015
nice post especially since it concerns sharing pc data via wifi to other devices. But nowadays when everyone and their cousin is using Glo bis subscription i think what people really want to know is how to share glo bis with laptops/PC or other smartphone devices. But all in all i think your post is very informative and will be very helpful to someone out there. however i was wondering if this will also work with lan cable. by that i mean a computer using a lan cable to connect to the internet instead of usb modem
Phones / Re: Why Your Really Need To Stop Free Browsing Tweaks. by dee5(m): 9:14am On Sep 06, 2015
most of the points illustrated by op also applies even if you bought your data legitimately. Therefore the singular action of initiating this
post indicates that op has a self interest to protect. as for those of you who are using fbt by changing imei note that you can take it a step further by sharing your glo bis subscription via android's wifi hotspot feature.

samsung phones can be rooted but you can't change the imei effectively so chinco phones are better for use with glo bis or any
other cheat that requires imei change. Also as a side note i hope you are all aware that you can share glo bis data simply by using android hotspot?

we nigerians are so used to being cheated that we now even defend the thieves by using phrases like "na small money". no money is small or big when it comes to financial institutions or has anyone been credited with 2,600 naira by any bank just because it's "small" money? i wonder how some nigerians think at times....besides if i just let this money slide like that they will try a bigger financial stealling from my account next time. I am not going to let that happen! Zenith Bank Nigeria Plc, Refund My Money!

AwesomelyMade:
I like your 'no tolerance' spirit but take it easy and make sure you don't expose you biodata, make you no go kpai for 'small' money.

thanks for the warning...but the "small" money phrase is offensive... even if the money in question was 1.2 million naira they'll still want to sweep it under the carpet... i refuse to turn a blind eye on any form of stealing directly from my pocket by a financial institution which was supposed to protect my interest in the first place. "make you no go kpai" that phrase is also out of place. try to watch your language next time or are you encouraging them to steal money from customers?
