Mollydee88: @Momofangels; Thank you very much for your response. I just hope this error will not affect our chances of being granted entry on the Interview date.

Please other persons view or personal experience concerning this statement below as indicated on my Scheduled appointment print-out can please advise;

''PLEASE NOTE THAT ONE OR MORE OF THE DS-160 NUMBERS USED TO SCHEDULE THIS APPOINTMENT CAN NOT BE VALIDATED. INCORRECT DS-160 NUMBERS MAY LEAD TO A DELAY IN BEING PROCESSED''

It is no biggie. It does happen whenever you change your DS160. We had it also cause I changed our DS160 forms upto 2 times but it didn't affect our interview neither visas.

Yes u can write to the embassy informing them ur plans have changed. However, u might be lucky the respond with the normal positive email or cancel ur visas.

Goodluck

Have you got the visa yet? If yes, you need to write to the Embassy informing them your circumstances has changed and that you will be going to the States to give birth. If no, all you need to do is to fill another DS160 form and change the confirmation number in your appointment log. Pls just select the B1/B2 (business/pleasure). This covers both leisure and medicals. You do not need to select medicals.

Pls we need your guidance in scheduling our appointment o. Myself and hubby have filled seperate appointment forms. He added me on his own page. But we don't know if I also need to add him on my own form too. We just need directions on how to schedule our appointment in order to appear together as a couple. Pls help! We are stuck.

If he has added you, you dont need another appointment. One is just enough for both of you provided he added you on his own. Hope this answers your questions.

Hello my good pipo. Thank God for nairaland restoration how wait not in full scale. Have really missed d site. Went for our interview on 23 June at Abuja and we were granted (hubby, I, and our two kids). Would have shared d testimony but cause of d cyber attack on nairaland, I cud. This is after 4 times denials in d past (mainly due to wrong representations/information). If not that I stumbled on the informative site,!i may not have gotten it right again. All information were gathered frm dis forum and I glad to give d interview transcripts below.

Vo: good morning
We: good morning. Kids waved at vo and he did d same to d kids
Vo: where to in US?
We: El Paso
Vo: what are you going to do?
We: to have our baby
Vo: ok. Can I see your medical plans or package?
We: hands over Doctores Para Ti correspondences. He took some time to read thru d emails and said you already made a deposit?
We: yes
Vo: how much?
We: usd2500 and he asked for d receipt which I pointed out to him (he was holding it but didn't see it) and heas really grateful.
Vo: where will you be staying?
We: Intown suites
Vo: how long?
We: wife n little dota 3 months, hubby n son 3 weeks ( cause of school resumption n biz)
Vo: took sometime like 2 mins to do some typing on d computer and then Brought one of the emails from Para Ti, circled a portion n signed
It at d side. Took all our passports and kept by his side.
Vo. Any bank statement?
We: handed our bank statements to him - hubby n I
Vo: congratulations your visa has been approved and handed over d collection form to us. He also said that I shd show d receipt of deposit to CBP officers at PoE. Wished us safe trip n safe delivery.
We: thank you with a very big smile grin

Note: honesty is the watch word. Also, Gods fav our overtook us and all our rehearsal questions were never asked. Also, only bank statement n hospital correspondences were d only docs he checked. Even d bank statement was only d first page and asked if one is biz n d other personal which we answered yes. All d volume of docs weighing abt 2kg that we carried were never used or asked for.

Let me use this medium to thank all d contributors to this great forum :- fabulousmon, momofangels, DFJ12, and all the veterans which I can't remember their names now. May God bless u all and grant us all our desires.

Beezally: nawa hw can u say they are worshiping mary. They are just Honouring her just like how u value ur mother. Mary was a very holy woman even the angel of God praised her when he delivered the message that she will carry the son of God. So stop Judging

If its honouring as you claim, why use her to pray. Most catholics do not read the bible, they do not study but only the sunday sunday pamphlets.

clans:
first of all, no catholic bows down to Mary quote me, what we do is call genuflecting the same you do to your obas and you chiefs and even the average elderly Yoruba man or woman you see on the street. as for Mary being the way the truth and the life you said so yourself NO catholic has ever said that, because we are sinners and have fallen short of the glory of God we go through his mother to INTERCEDE for us on our behalf. Mary was specially conceived without original sin you and i was born with, she was specially designed as the vessel to bring the savior into this world, as for the name Mary, you are right it could as well be Martha or even chrissy3, but it wasn't . and if you say she was just a human, y weren't YOU chosen to bring the savior into the world. i beg of you change you ideology about all this things. ignorance is bliss they say but it is stupid when you base your arguments on them.. have a nice day smiley

There are principles that God has set which we must follow. He stated in hte Holy books that we must serve him by faith (even when we have not seen him in person). So why the creation of images reflecting God is used before we know that we are serving God. The bone of contention is the Images of Mary n Jesus found in every Catholic church, homes, bodies etc. The bible clearly states that we must not make any graven images in the likeness of heaven or anything on earth.....

In medicine , it is also right not to experiment with someone whose medical case has been examined and established. Why allow him to waste money for a IUI and the amount they are asking from him is also high. His case is not for iui, he will be wasting his money and time. He should rather save up like Blendy said and go for ICSI. He is not a candidate for IUI and am speaking from experience . My one kobo advise though.

Both ICSI and IUI are God's hand work. There is no 100% guaranty that ICSI or IUI is a one off. What am saying is that his semen analysis is not that bad. i have had friends whose analysis were worse off slightly and with little treatment on the man achieved natural conception not to talk of IUI (giving the semen a little push to get to its desired destination). His case is not that bad. Its just my 2cent. the final decision lies on Wazo n wifey to take.

now you know why you have the bad result.

let me give you some thing you may need.

fertilaid for men
count boost(ffertil aid product)
vitamin E
CAC1000
Vitamin C
selenium
clomid (since it worked for you you can try it again)
will post more when i remeber
ACV(applle cider vineger mixed with honey) buy the organic one with murder look for bragg brand.

fruits-----

cucumber
cashew nuts
g.nuts
carrot
g.egg
one boiled egg
tiger nut
that what i remember for now.

for you wife (since you said she is ok), let her take ACV as well with honey, vitamin E (there is this miracle one being discussed on ttc thread), she can take Vit c too.

see, try out this with your wife, i feel if you can achieve 20million you can do it again, and you guys can sing a new song soon. pray with her like never before too.

In addition, madam must be on FOLIC ACID too. Its a must for every woman within child bearing age to take it regularly and when ttc, it msut be taken religiously.
Health / Re: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by egariyi(f): 11:31am On Nov 28, 2013
redeemersave: @Wazoboy, just relax first of all. had this issue, hubby doest smoke , no drinking, no womanisig but his count as even lower than yours!!!! puting those factors aside, there are plenty plenty cause of low sper.m count in men. life style is most important and you being here means you are closer your solution, why did i say this? in most cases men see themselves as the god that can never have fertility issue. so going for count test and taking fertility drugs most times is wahala for them.

going back to your test result, did you ask your self why your previous count was better than the later? am seeing 20million for the previous one and then 8million(i asume its in million) on the on you did lately. hmmmmm, was the test cultured to check for infection? pls check for infection, infection kills sper.m faster than anything, if you confirm infection, you need to treat the infection first of all. then you can talk of boosting it.

now on your IUI, where there is male fertility issue, IUI is not the answer at allllllll. @egariyi, guys are advising him to consider ICSI because of what he tendered, IUI, which based on experience and knowledge he was asked to considered so that he wont waste the huge sum of 500k, 500k is alot of money that is enough to try a better option than IUI.

@Wazoboy, pls read more on ICSI, IVF, IUI, know the one that is most preffered for your case. 500k for IUI is on the high side, if you have 500k now then save up and add a little to it for ICSI which is more reliable.

Above all, God can give you a big surprise this season. Look on HIM.

I am talking from experience. In 2010/11 when i wanted to do ICSI, hubby fluid was 10%, 20% progress, 50 normal, 50% dead cells. I requested that I wanted IUI but was told that IUI can only work when the motility is from 15%. I ended up iwth ICSI first attempt and had a baby girl. If he makes a few life changes with proper diet and some multivitamins, and wifey uterus is ok, they might even get natural conception. during my ICSI, about 4 couples had natural conception just by the folic acid we were asked to take for the few two months!

wazoboy: OK,
Total motility = 30%
rapid forwad progress = 34%
sperm count =8
total sperm count = 12
normal form = 20%
dat test was on 14th of October 2013.

But earlier this year(20/05/2013) this was d result:
Total motility = 56%
rapid forward progress = 40%
sperm count = 20
total sperm count = 42
normal form = 28%

@Wazo, you can confidently do an IUI. the semen analysis is not that bad. I advise you go for IUI which is usually between 200-250k in most of the clinics. Also, in some clinics, the sperm could also be treated to boost result. You may try this before going into ICSI. ICSI is usually for semen analysis of 2-10% motility with relatively low forward progress.
Health / Re: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by egariyi(f): 5:06pm On Nov 22, 2013
Nogen:

For someone with your kind of medical case, ICSI will be a better option because the doctor will have to extract some of your sperm and inject them directly in the eggs(ovum) extracted from your wifey in the lab. When they are fertilised, the very viable ones (2) or one as the case may be will be transferred into her womb. This procedure ensures that the very good and healthy spermatozoa are used.
It is more expensive than IUI.

In medicine, you dont just start with the highest solution. You start with the simpler and smaller methods and where these fails, then yo can move upward.

Mr. Wazo, what is the percentage of good cells, motility and morphology (shape). IUI can only be achieved on motility of 15% and above. If its lower, then consider ICSI. alternatively, you need to do proper investigations and get the problem corrected with medication to enable your wife achieve natural conception.

phineas: Its a case of assault against Nigerian health workers that's been condoned by the soceity for yrs finally reaching its peak.Health workers have suffered perpertual verbal assault @ the hands of Nigerians and physical assault like this isn't new.

The popular story of the nasarawa police shooting and beating drs who explained they had no space in their morgues and where told to invent space, forgetting they had full responsibilty to protect the bodies they had accepted in their custody, many cases abound of which I really don't care to go into.

Most health workers who have and care aboout dignity of self simply refuse to practice in Nigeria. If she administered wrong medication or not a panel should have been set up and investigated, the medical profession must rise to the responsibility of protecting its workers in the country by ensuring stringent standards and protocols for all matters arising with sanctions where necesary.

What happens to cases of clear negligence on the part of medical practitioneers that are usually covered up by the NMA?

Car Talk / Re: Nigeria Women Cant Drive! by egariyi(f): 5:00pm On Oct 31, 2013
runzlord: serously, nigeria women cant drive, they are just to scared, when u see a woman driving note that she is driving with one mind so take minutes before they make a decision on the road. If a woman is in front of you, you would almost cry, they would want to switch lanes, then they change their mind sort off, they become confuse and end of in the middle of the road blocking everybody at her back, and note she does this without traficating, in a nut shell an average nigeria woman drives like a learner or is a learner. Usaully when people drive like that or does not drive well, we at the back would just maintain and conclude it a woman thats driving and when the person finally allow us to pass, truly truly it would be a woman. Ive never be wrong on that. But the case is not like that in orther countries.
I highly sugest women should have their own logo. Like learner is a big "L", women should be hanging a big "W" at the back and front of their car too.

The other countries you referred driving in a civilized manner. But in Nigeria, most drivers especially the men are always in a hurry. Men are rather the culprits here. they switch lanes with so much zeal thereby placing the women who are more cautious in a difficult situation. it is not speed or how fast one switches lanes, but how observant are you in driving and putting other road users into consideration. I can count numerous times when i am brushed or hit, never has a woman hit or brushed my car, its has always been men and always at fault. The next 'madam sorry na small dent'.

Hi olrotimi,

I will love to add one to ur list.

1. Incorrect doctrinal teaching
2. Lack of sufficient platform for spiritual growth
3. Absence of bible study
4. Poor pastoral care
5. Too many offerings
6. Too strict church doctrines
7. Disagreement with the pastor
8. Disputes with church members
9. Lack of knowing what we want

If truly we hav ppl who change church d way u described it: (apt to change churches almost every sunday over slight irritations), then i think they need to consider d No 9 added to be sure dt d problem is not wit them.

2ndly, ur decision interval to migrate does not provide enough time for u to kno if such church can provide d best for u.

Just to add, all mortals are imperfect. So if you are looking for a 100% perfect church, till end of age, you will never find one! the only capsules I would recommend for you is to accept people the way they are, be more tolerant and considerate of others than yourself!

kofsy: I just feel like asking this question from married folks cos these days, marriage scares the hell out of me. From stories about infidelity, physical/emotional abuse to incompatibility and family issues. I'm starting to feel it doesn't worth it. That institution called marriage looks overrated to me.

If you are married and you are reading this, in sincerity, are you enjoying your marriage? Do you think you'd pick the same partner if given the chance to start over. Are there lessons you feel unmarried folks should learn from your experience?

In as much as people enjoy their marriages, it does not mean that there are no ups and downs. Secondly, dont expect a 100% from any mortals as we are all fallables. Even the most perfect man/woman today may become the imperfect man/woman tomorrow. So there's really no 100% marriage. However, when marital issues comes up, ability to deal with it makes the marriage even more enjoyable. In all, marriage is a pleasant thing and I can state that I am enjoying my marriage.

So UNIPORT transformer is bad shey? UNIPORT has a modern power substation but as we speak now there is no electricity, it came yesterday after 8 days of absence and now its nowhere to be found.

May be UNIPORT is under substations not yet completed hence the inconsistency. But as for Mgbuoba, everybody knew for years, Mgbuoba suffered darkness. The electricity we now enjoy came as a result of the completion of the Rumuosi substation and also the state transmission lines which Mgbuoba was synchronised to.
Politics / Re: 24/7 Power Supply In Port-Harcourt by egariyi(f): 3:45pm On Oct 07, 2013
Sincere 9gerian:
Why are you having emotional tantrums? What has the power plant in Rivers got to do with power supply in Enugu? Nonsense!

Rivers state is not the only state that built power plants. Akwa-Ibom and Lagos also have built IPP power plants. In fact, that of Lagos was built in 2002 by Tinubu but yet it didn't guarantee steady power supply for residents of Lagos. Anambra and Ebonyi state are currently building IPP power plants.

I commend state govts that have built power plants and will encourage more states to build more and increase the national generation capacity. However, the problem with power supply in Nigeria is not just about power generation. Much BIGGER problems are transmission, INEFFICIENCY, very bad distribution networks, corruption, weak systems, lack of financial viability, etc.

The Rivers state power plant was not built in the last one month. The Lagos State power plant was built in 2002. If we'r to go by your logic, then Lagosians should have been enjoying stable power supply since 2002. So why was that not the case? Because of the BIGGER problems listed above. Even if you generate 1million megawatts, without fixing those BIGGER problems power will not reach peoples homes.

Until those BIGGER problems are solved, any form of improvement we see today is only temporary (you recall the improvement we saw during Nnaji era?). That is why I look forward to completion of the privatisation process and other reforms in the sector.

That notwithstanding, I commend Amaechi and other governors that have invested in building power plants.

It appears you are not aware that Amaechi built over 20 new substations all over the state, built its own state transmission lines to ensure light get to the people. This is the reason we are now enjoying good electricity. Amaechi did not just build the plants, he also upgraded the transmission and distribution systems hence the noticeable improvement.

You are very correct. Even the Notorious 'dark Mgbuoba' now enjoys almost 24 hours of electricity. its still like a dream to me. If you are not yet enjoying it, it must be your transformer and you should report to the Phcn office nearest to you. A new transformer will be released asap! This is one of the basics the common is asking. Up Amaechi!
