Sorry if I confused you. Anyone above 10,000 units get partial allotment

10,001 - 15,000 units get 74% allotment
15,001 - 25,000 units get 50% allotment
25,001 - 50,000 units get 30% allotment
50,001 - 75,000 units get 23% allotment
75,001 - 100,000 units get 21% allotment
50,000,001 and above gets 5.35% allotment

Note that all those under the preferential allotment category got all that they requested for!

Gurus,

Re: FBN allocation.

In a situation like this, is the refund paid with interest or not considering the fund was held in a special interest earning account for such a long period of time?

Checkout this link for an article about the SSF. It will open on the 28/06 till the 6 Aug.

It sounds juicy based on the article but will dissect the offer as soon as the prospectus is out.

@all,

I personally can't see the need for another tread. Why don't all interested parties email their mobile number to BIGBOYLARY.
He can compile a list and text his number to all to make contact tomorrow.

We can then take things up from there once we've congregated.

@ijogbon

You forgot to mention how to make contact. Don't forget its going to be packed with other people. I am sure people can't be calling out your name.
Therefore, I suggest you be a point of contact. So you might need to wear your screen name (IJOGBON) in order for nairalanders to identify you. lol

Any other ideas are welcome.

Has anyone managed to secure a list of the suspended stockbrokers?

It's been a long time coming. I wondered why it took NSE so long to act. Heaven knows when our regulatory authorities will start to be proactive rather than reactive. Even hawkers on the street were aware of it; the malpractice coupled with bad services were beyond belief. I hope NSE will make scapegoat of these entities by dealing with them severely in order to stamp these plague once and for all.

However, when two elephant fights, we all know who suffers.
Mind you the PMP certification is American and so many American firms are in the u.k and the rest of the world are you saying all these companies also use Prince 2 I doubt it
It is true PMP is from the USA and probably more popular over there. However in the UK Prince2 is the de facto. Few job advert in the UK requires PMP coupled with Prince2 but most job advert requires Prince2 alone being the recognised standard and there are plenty of them. If in doubt try any of the UK jobsites.

I rest my case.

I had a similar experience with UBA in December06.
I actually walked into my branch and they had a ready made form for this kind of situation and I still got charged.

I later realised that regardless of being in possession of your cheque book or not you'll get charged anyway.

@Sleek_Chick

What is the name of the stockbroking firm so that we can all avoid the coy like a plague.
It's one thing sharing your predicament but I think its worthwhile to name and shame the firm.
We can hit them where it hurts by taking our custom somewhere else.

The services from some of this so call "Stokebroking" firms is enough to put you off dealing.
They think they are doing you a favour. Forgetting that the service is not free.
You get charged for every transactions which is their bread and butter.

Please, don't let me vent my anger here. angry angry

My best stock is UBA but didn't buy a lot cause it was high at the time of purchase. grin grin

My worst stock and worst nightmare to date is TRANSCORP because I bought quite a large quantity hoping to shed some later in the game but that strategy didn't work. Now I am stuck with a White Elephant. Well still hoping that an elephant might fly one day! angry
