Odinwa: Please one more question: is it advisable to do a PGD programme in a college? I wanted to go for Advanced diploma course on Biotechnology Technician in Algonquin College but someone told me that its just a post secondary degree and not a post graduate degree. I even though there tuition will be cheaper cos its a college but it turns out to be very expensive.
Please brothers I need your advice on this. Thanks in anticipation.

Yes, it's advisable but make sure the post graduate program you are choosing in a college can be applied toward Masters

Yes,many good colleges offer qualitative PGD programs. Many colleges offer it as a post graduate cert program.Provided the program is a choice program and it's relevant to your degree.Advanced Diploma is like HND

[quote author=lus@5]Hi housemate, pls what's the best way to pay tuition and fees.[/quote

You can use your naira MasterCard and pay over the phone.
if you dont have one, get someone close who has, fund the person's acct.
and get him/her to call the school to give the card details. It's usually
processed within a day. But bear in mind that most banks charge using the U.S
dollar exchange rate.

Hello Hse, I appreciate your contributions here. I was denied last year (my first appl.) for financial reasons after three months of VO processing time. Still don't know specifically why they weren't convinced about the financial capability. My uncle who was my sponsor gave me his company's acct (he owns the company) with a balance of #20M plus copies of company docs and tax clearance.
This time having paid one semester fees mandated by school and now i have a new admission letter for the same one year post grad program for Sept start date,do you advise i can re-apply between now and March? Any implication for early application bearing in mind that VO sometimes hold docs for long as experienced by many last year?
Also,is it advisable to include my payment in the appl.? Advise pls.

Hello house,I submitted my application to VAC on June 18. For reasons beyond me, i couldn't submit earlier. My school program starts Sept. 4 (orientation:Aug 27) and i have paid the mandatory tuition deposit. I'm yet to hear anything and i keep tracking via VAC daily.I've been very hopeful to get medical call. I wouldn't know the time frame to do medicals and get TRV considering my school start date.I need a candid advice on what to do please.

Phones / Re: Sim Registration Failed, heeelllpppp Meee Ooooo! by insight: 3:59pm On Oct 08, 2009
I'm currently encountering the same problem too.
My N series phone hardly accepts my Glo SIM-one
in 15 times try.
I'm sure it's a SIM compatibility issue
(2G,2.5,3G SIMs)
I'd advise you visit their service centre as it's the
best option i personally have resolved to do.
They might have to recommend you buy another
SIM and they'll swap your line.
Dont even bother calling customer care line
even if you get through to them, i dont think
they'd be able to provide you with any technical
support as regards SIMs.

As for the MTN line, try buying a 128k SIM
and do a swap by calling the Customer care line.

Thanks very much for your responses.
His problem is urge incontinence.
We are resident in Nigeria.
I wouldnt know if there's any
recommendable Urologist to contact in Nigeria.
But the oxybutynin seems to have a
terrible side effect according
to what i just read from wikipedia.

Phones / Re: Your Experience With Chinese Phones Shared by insight: 6:35pm On Jun 04, 2008
I wonder y many ppl condemn Chinese fones;the only reason i accept is the durability of the fones.
But from my own view it can last longer than expected with ones state of mind.
I purposely went for their Nokia N2600 (dual SIM+bluetooth+FM) sometime Jan with the faith that it would last
and of course am always very careful handling it.
The GUI is very clean, attractive and unique.Honestly,it's always a pleasing
experience browsing the fone and sn became the digital wife
i couldn't do without.
Well,no too long after i had been using it , the mouthpiece got bad and i didnt just bother
attempting to repair cos i had both wired and wireless handsfree devices.
It suddenly failed to turn on late April and it was confirmed a software problem.
I couldn't fix it until i returned to Lagos 3wks later. It came back live under 10 mins@ one Otigba
fone repair shop and since then av been enjoying it as before.
One of the things i like about it is that i can easily configure the GPRS settings of any GSM N/W manually
without having to call customer care for days to push in settings on the fone.
And with a USB bluetooth adapter to connect d fone, i can browse the net on my PC.
The only limitation i have is the inability to get compatible
applications to install on it cos of it's unfamiliar OS and maybe
the cable modem driver am yet to find.

Fancy this: Banks Close 'Wonder Banks' accounts.

I got it from the Punch of today.
the story is that Banks have been mandated to freeze
d accts of all Fund Managers nationwide.
For WS subscribers on week 19 and above who have waited for long, only God
knows what's going to happen next.
It's very disheartening.

It even appears they are @ present out of service.
Anybody with a detailed happenings pls?
Nairaland / General / Re: What's Up With Wealth Solutions? by insight: 1:50pm On Aug 07, 2007
i also don't understand what's happening with WS.
And it's annoying as there has been no reliable info
on when they would start week 20 payment.
I've been patient enough.
