The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar has said he may not rely on Nigeria’s healthcare system for his personal use if elected president.

Atiku explained that health facilities that cater for his health may not be available in Nigeria.

Speaking at the Arise TV Townhall debate, Atiku lamented that Nigeria’s healthcare system has limitations.

The former Vice President was asked if he would use Nigeria’s medical establishments as president to de-emphasise the use of foreign hospitals.

He said: “We have limitations; we know we have those limitations, health facilities that cater to my health may not be available.”

President Muhammadu Buhari’s Chief of Staff, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, has described some of the characteristics of his principal which might not be known to others.

Niger Delta activist Asari Dokubo has revealed the reason he opted for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the forthcoming 2023 presidential elections.

Dokubo, who spoke on Friday while featuring in Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily, said the APC presidential candidate is miles ahead of other contenders for the country’s top job.

According to him, he threw his weight behind the former Lagos Governor because of his (Tinubu) track records.

“For the presidential election, I am with Tinubu because I saw what he did in Lagos State and the legacies he left behind,” he said on Friday.

He further claimed that Tinubu was instrumental in the development of Lagos State and helped turn the fortunes of the former Nigerian capital.
