Zikkyy:
That's the word you are having issues with right there (bolded in red) ability does not negate free-will (free-choice).
True, but i don't see how this takes way free-will(free-choice). Choices within the limitations of the program (if any) is still choices, especially if the programmer is not the one hitting the 'enter' button ![grin](https://www.nairaland.com/faces/grin.png) Ability does infact fully negate free-will....For someone to be free he/she must have the ability to do what he/she wants no just the fact that the choices are there.... Remember, I rather insist that free will means that man must be the "ultimate" or "originating" cause of his actions. He must be causa sui, in the traditional phrase. To be responsible for one's choices is to be the first cause of those choices, where first cause means that there is no antecedent cause of that cause. The argument, then, is that if man has free will, then man is the ultimate cause of his actions. |

what we have now with false doctrine is a corrupt version.
The bible said that after the death of the apostle that satan will ensure apostacy took place. 2thessolonians 2:3-6.
So, the true church was there when the apostles were around.
Even as of when the apostle John the last of the apostle wrote/saw the visions of revelation, Jesus sent him warning masseges to the 7 congregation that they were leaving/deviating from the right way.
Like paul said in the book of 2thessolonians 2:9-12, that when this apostacy by satan has finally taken place that people must have a love of the truth to be saved and failure to do this means that they will be damned.
truth = John 17:17(Jesus praying to his father)
we now have pegan doctrine instead of the truth. You are not making any sense ooo and you didn't answer my question... |

But be sincere to yourself, even if that's the case but atleast it made tje world a better place, imagine the human blood sacrifices that were being practiced prior to the coming of christianity in those regions of the world, imagine the harm that was done, imagine how innocent lives were been terminated as a result of false belief, take for instance the killing of twins in calabar before tthe missionary mary slensor put an end to that evil practice, imagine if the people never got delivered of such it would have still been praticed till date.
The question is does'nt it surprise you all how christianity and the Gospel of Jesus Christ penatrated every rook and cranny of the world without the use of force or weapon of war for defense and coerssion? Does'nt this show there must be supernatural force and miraculouse signs and wonders that those people saw in the gospel of christ that convinced them enough to abandone their long worshiped gods which they inherited from their forefathers for a new God introduced by strangers?
Definately they must have seen with their eyes things that were beyond natural which was convincing enough to have brought about the switch.
How can one come to a strong man's house and defeat him of his possession except the later is indeed stronger and of a greater authority.
A food for thought for those who are reasonable enough!!!
God is no joke, Jesus is real, i wish u would believe me and save yourself from eternal damnation. WTF? WTF? Dude did you do history at all...How did you great-grand parents encounter the whites? Common man stop embarrassing your history teacher |

Mr_Anony:
Now God created human beings giving them free-choice knowing that by giving them free-choice, the very nature of free-choice means that man can possibly do evil. . .but then without free-choice, man cannot possibly be good either. This is so wrong... Lets take 'god' as a programmer He creates the hardware (body) and clearly makes it clear that he wants the programme to be like him in all entirety no? What does he do then he makes a very good software to model exactly what he wants it to be like...him giving the software the ability to go against and destroy itself means the nature of such acts must be embedded or fully known by the programmer..you can't obviously code what you don't know or what does not exist, Now is it possible for him to create a perfectly sound system/programme that does all what he wants? yes...Indeed the programmer knows all possible 'RUN' outcomes after debugging but goes ahead to set-up a system where he knows the programme is at will to snuff him out...now thats silly Meanwhile if we look at it objectively we find out that the 'bible' actually makes us understand that god made a mistake and he acknowledge his initial mistake and henceforth repented and even became pallies with mr Lucifer..... Now a domino's movement is determined completely by laws of physics. Incompatibilists say that this is a threat to free will because “Experience teaches us no less clearly than reason, that men believe themselves to be free, simply because they are conscious of their actions, and unconscious of the causes whereby those actions are determined.” B de Spinoza Ethics Schopenhauer stated, "You can do what you will, but in any given moment of your life you can will only one definite thing and absolutely nothing other than that one thing." Everyone believes himself a priori to be perfectly free, even in his individual actions, and thinks that at every moment he can commence another manner of life. ... But a posteriori, through experience, he finds to his astonishment that he is not free, but subjected to necessity, that in spite of all his resolutions and reflections he does not change his conduct, and that from the beginning of his life to the end of it, he must carry out the very character which he himself condemns... |

U tink just merely using ones lips to praise God makes one a servant of God??
Remember world rulers are always obstinate fools who wuld never wanna serve GOD....
Nebuchadnezzar never left his babylon to worship the only true GOD......
Infact his kingdom was wiped out according to Gods will......
Nebuchadnezzar and all his successors never were servants of Yahweh.....get that??
Even pharoah acknowledged Yahweh was the only true God,but did he serve Him??
Never u tink that just mere utterances from the mouth of rulers acknowledging Yahwehs mightiness shows they are servants of His......
Full compliance and reliance on the laws of Yahweh and continous practice of Yahwehs requirements is what makes one a servant of Yahweh....
Nebuchadnezzar never repented...
Repent ko change ni...... so how did Yahweh forgive him? |

My belief lets me know that my 'Timeless' God made 'Everything'. Yes, everything. So he created evil? Thats ok then...if you indeed ascribe all creation to God then he indeed he is the source of all evil..We are discussing not arguing |
