Who told you Reno needs appointment?.. why do you people from that part of the country always feel threatened by the truth?
Someone is dishing out facts to you, you're busy derailing the topic.

Going by logic sef.. the worst performing States and their Governors should be the ones to face protest not Lagos State that is performing very well.
Dem no fit try am in the North sha. But why wld any sendible citizen leav his/her state to stage a protest in another state. Lagos shld tink of smth deep to flush any outsider caught in such act should be catapult bck to his or her state.. Jail on sight terms if the victims comes anywhere near South-west..

Country hard, let's channel our energies to our respective states, cos we do hav a Governor, Reps, Assembly etc

Politics / Re: Supreme Court Got It Wrong On LG Autonomy- Punch Editorial Board by Mohisah: 7:16am On Jul 16
Kenochi:
This punch editorial is saying a lot of things but not making sense
In one word, you condemn the Governors for dissolving democratically elected local government councils and in another breadth you say that council chairmen are irresponsible because they don't pay primary school teachers
The same article says that there are only two federating units but in another breadth,it says in the Nigerian Constitution it mentions and lists three federating units
This same article talks about America and Brazil,is there any rule that says that any country can't determine what structure of government would work for it
Is it not in this same country that Governors loot their states blind, should we now say that because Governors are corrupt,we should scarp states and bring back regions instead
Please this article is just playing to the gallery, and I don't blame them
In our 24 years of Democratic experience,we have seen our LGAs become a place used by Governors to settle their political touts and aides
The LGAs if truly functional is supposed to a place where future leaders are spotted,it creates avenues for councillors to be elected, the circle of political leadership starts from the bottom
Who says an LGA Chairman can't raise to be become the president if he performs well
Finally, all this talk of corruption must stop,LGA Chairpersons don't have immunity and any chairman that transfers his monthly allocations to the state would have himself to blame
What needs to be done is for the Govt., and the media to start sensitizing the public on the role of the LGAs
If all organs of Govt. are functioning,it will reduce the pressure on the Federal Government

I thought I was the only one observing the jaggons from the punch. I tried to understand if punch is raising a motion or debate.

Agbado lawyers from the land of emilokans have destroyed what buhari left to be destroyed. To know that the Minister of justice & the chief judge of the supreme court don't know what federalism means tells you a lot about the much talked about sophisticatiion of these rascals. grin

When you hear them shouting sophisticatiion, you will think intelligence comes with it. But what is means is to go tribal ronu, nepotistic & bigoted when it involves other ethnic Nigerians. cheesy

The politicians from that place are the worst set of politicians in the whole world. Anything that has already been destroyed, they destroy even further. Political power is not meant for these Set of fraudsters because corruption, tribalism greed, bigotry & nepotism will is always taken to a whole New heigth like what we are experiencing from the most sophisticated failure to come out of that region.

When they mistakenly grab power, you will notice that everything start to fall like a torn Pack of cards. They use rascality, threats, corruption, thugs, agberos as avenue to get what ever they like.

Thesame thing happened in the 60ties with operation wetie grin

They are only good in praise singing incompetent clueless failures from back to back. grin grin
Lot of lines but not making sense o..

In whichever way, don't be hired by sm Gov'nors to kip sayin dis.

LG should n must be on their own, i dont care fr constitution, let's get it right by living fine. The issue of hunger-strike must stop. You may not know what percentage salary is til u enter sm states wer LG staff are being paid 5k out of 30k, 20k out 150k etc😑💔

This is pure lie, The exam was postponed due to ileya festival that's close that time exam was supposed to 13 June and ileya is 16 and most of people that supposed to conduct the process are already planning to travel to celebrate with their family...so the reason why they haven't announced new date was due to their busy schedule they have been busy with lot of activities at REA..
MY sister also got message for exam and she confirmed from insider...ur information is wrong
Guy, There is a simpler way to correct him by saying the info he shared isn't true. Rather than saying "he's lying and he's wrong", it sounds like we're here to compete anonymously. Let's thread happily, like mature guys, pls.

FG uncovers 1,618 civil servants with fake employment letters

The Federal Government has revealed that it has in the last one year uncovered 1,618 officers in the Civil Service with illegal and fake employment letters and have been deleted them from the Integration Personnel Payroll and Information System (IPPIS).

Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan made this known on Wednesday in Abuja, during a media parley organized as part of programmes marking the 2024 Civil Service Week, with a theme: Education an African fit for the 21s Century: Building Resilient Education System for Increased Access to Inclusive Longlife, Quality and relevant Learning in Africa.

She disclosed that through physical verification conducted by the Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of Government, the once over-bloated federal civil service has now been brought down from over 100,000 to 69,308 who have been verified and are on the payroll.

Yemi-Esan revealed that apart from the ghost workers who were parading fake employment letters, there was also the issue of some civil servants who “japa” for greener pastures in overseas that were caught napping during the physical verification exercise.

According to her, some of them who came into the country for the verification exercise like one or two weeks after the exercise had been conducted under the pretext that they were not aware of the scheduled physical verification exercise, were graciously given two weeks to appear for the verification exercise.

Curiously, the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, said instead of waiting for the two weeks in addition to the days they had already spent in Nigeria, “a lot of them tendered their resignation letters because no UK organization would afford to give two additional weeks in the country to perfect the verification process.

On the issue of endemic corruption in the public service, Yemi-Esan said her office has been working in synergy with the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) and Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in ensuring that underhand dealings were eliminated from the system.

She also spoke on the efforts to reposition the Federal Civil Service for optimum and quality service to Nigerians, while expressing confidence that by the end of 2025, the entire service would be fully digitized.

Yemi-Esan disclosed that significant progress has made by the current administration to transform and digitize work processes.

“From the service wide perspective, all MDAs, all other ministries are also running with the digitalization programme and there are different stages of implementation, but they have a mandate for all to achieve full migration by the end of 2025,” she said.
Can we now say the verification is hereby concluded for all MDAs?

If you say is massive is an understatement, African Energy Bank HQ in Nigeria will be a game changer in the energy sector from oil and Gas to renewables. Worthy of note is President Tinubu has pledged $100m as shareholders fund by Nigeria reason Nigeria looks more likely to win the bid which is in final rounds
Of course, it is going to be a big game changer should Nigeria win the bid.

A very befitting building in Abuja is already reserved to host the African Energy Bank temporary headquarters if the bid goes in our favour. The operations will start next month, July, 2024 with an initial capital base of $5 Billion.

1. He can take the risk of payment before documentation, it sometimes works.

2. 5m is very fair

3. New allowance has been introduced. The least person should be 500k (Hardship allowance). Introduction of new allowance underway so please don’t discourage him.

4. Chairman has signed the List of new intakes and it has been sent to FCC for approval. Hoping the list will return this coming week so go to FCC and choke your commissioner.

5. Just on Thursday, someone who paid 6m for for this same agency demanded for a refund, he was told they can’t refund him the 6m. He can only nominate a new person to replace him & he nominated his friend.

6. This list is currently on the table of the chairlady of FCC. Call your connect to reach out to her very fast before she return it.

Please go ahead and pay the 5m. Am not in support of slots trading or buying anyways and I don’t sell slots. Don’t inbox me for slots trading.
The 5m is fair compared to 7m i got as price on Friday.

Has his tenure elapsed already? Tot he was appointed in March,2022 OR Is it a sack letter
Well, he came in during the past president's tenure.

Tinubu is a man who has many ways of appointing his candidate, which may let the present boss enjoy his seat until whenever.
The replacement candidate may get a new office if Tinubu so wishes to let the Tetfund boss serve him.
Change is constant, so i can't pronounce with 💯 certainty.
