That's exactly what I wanted to say.

That write-up was written based on the dating system in the US not in Nigeria.

In Nigeria just have money and you'd get any girl you want regardless of how beautiful she is and how ugly you are.

Case study. Ned and Regina.

CELEBRITYSAND:
When the volume of your transaction is high.
When you multi task or your are involve in operations requiring multiple payments to parties.
Mistakes occur.
It can be resolved through the originating bank.
Tankiyu.
When you're making multiple payments that's even when you have to be more focused.

Some people make transactions inside a public bus, and when the conductor calls their attention, they become distracted and send the money to the wrong account. Some make theirs in the middle of a discussion and wouldn't bother excusing themselves to focus on what they're doing until the recipient calls them after a couple of hours to tell them that they haven't received the inflow...Then they start panicking.

Truth is there is no such thing as multitasking when it comes to transaction. The rule of the thumb is whenever you're making a transaction, (whether single or multiple) suspend whatever you're doing and direct all your attention to that transaction until you're done.

Haven't you been to the bulk room of a bank before, do you see the staffs who stay there gisting and making calls whilst counting the money and crediting the recipients account? They're 100% focused. In fact you'll have to talk in whispers whenever you're in there cos the place is extremely quiet.

That's how it should be. Most people are just careless that's why they keep making errors when making transactions.

It's not impatience, it's called being STUPID.
As in eh! Even if I want to send money through a POS agent. I'll tell the agent to confirm the name of the receiver before sending.

It's as simple as that. I've been making transactions for close to a decade and I've never experienced such cos I'm extremely careful whenever I want to make a transaction.

I swear. What if the complainant is lying. They would now remove money from the recepitent account back to him. How do people even make mistakes of sending money to wrong accounts numbers, like you didn't confirm and check the account number you input and the account name, it should bring out, even if the account number were wrong, at least you should know by the account name, it brings out, how do people still make mistakes baffles me.
It baffles me too. Whenever I'm making a transaction, I stop everything I'm doing and concentrate on carefully imputing the sender's account details and confirm the name before sending.

Some people are just so impatient

Lol... nice gesture indeed. Who made the people unable to afford food in the first place?

Besides as you can see in the article the nice gesture has been looted and sold to the hungry masses at exuberant prices, so wouldn't they still starve? Why not just make the economy better for everyone, what's with all these palliative madness. Is Nigeria fighting war like Palestine that States should be receiving donations from the federal government that would be looted?

Blacks on Blacks crime are the greatest in the world. Most africans could stop at nothing to destroy the Hussle of a fellow back man than support him. Even in the USA, blacks are dominant population in most American prisons.

Next time he should get CCTV cameras and security guards in place. If he could afford to spend millions to stock the place, he should be able to afford to spend a few thousands to protect it.

Sorry for the loss.

Exactly.

Around 2018, I was serving in Bayelsa and I was able to take care of myself with 19800 and still have something left as little savings.
Today, I’m based in the North where food is relatively cheap but 40k can’t even feed me.
That was around the same period I served. 2017/2018.

The funny thing here is this that when you tell someone you used to buy super pack noodles N50, they'd think it was like 20 years ago or more. Not knowing that it was barely 6 years ago.

This shows how far we've fallen.

Do you know that as at 2020 I was still buying sachet tomatoes N50. I do buy 2 sachets to prepare spaghetti with it. And ironically, 2020 was a crisis year for Nigeria. We had Covid lockdown, we had endsars crisis. Yet things were still very affordable.

Everything just became worse when Tinubu came into power.

Protest from now till December, it will not change her salary. Even in the time of Obasanjo and Jonathan, 25k per month was a poor man's salary. She should take responsibility for her failures and restrategize on how to get a better life for herself.
I was surviving as a youth corper on N19,800 and it was ok for me. Super pack indomine was N50, rice, beans and garri was cheap, as long as you have where to stay, you'll be fine unless you're the extravagant type.

Today super pack noodles is N500. Rice beans and garri have tripled. That money is basically useless.

Good day all.
Does anyone here know about how to open an upwork account smoothly for a Nigerian user.
Get in touch let's discuss
There's nothing special about opening an up work account. It's just like opening a LinkedIn account.

Just write a detailed description of your skills in your profile. Sell yourself very well to prospective employers and you might just get a job.
Romance / Re: Nairalanders, My Wife Wants To Destroy Our Marriage Ohh!!! by Nazgul: 3:46pm On Jul 25
I use to say this...a lot of Nigerian men think with their penis. Why would you go to a married woman's house to pick her up knowing fully well that it can cause problems in her marriage? What exactly does that guy want?

I'll advise you go the his office and report him to the HR or the manager? I'm sure he'll respect himself once he knows that he's job is on the line.

As for your wife, she doesn't respect you. For her to even give that guy your address to come and pick her to work shows that she cares less about you.

I'll therefore advise that you monitor her closely after you've reported the guy to his office. If she challenges you on why you did it and takes his side, threaten her with divorce. Tell her that you're tired of the marriage and you've contacted your lawyer for divorce. If she doesn't feel sober and calls your bluff, go ahead and let her go cos she has already divorced you in her heart long time ago.

Besides what's so special about a car that some ladies are willing to sacrifice their marriages just to sit at the front seat of it? Most people take public transportation to work everyday and they're not dead. Let's assume she leaves your house and move in with the guy and the car gets stolen or spoilt, what then, would she start looking for another guy with a car to replace him?

Romance / Re: In My Current Relationship, my guy and I retaliate a lot by Nazgul: 7:32am On Jul 24
MeghaneMorgane:
I’m currently in a relationship where both my guy and I are very petty. If my guy does something I don’t like, I tell him the first time, if he does the same thing the second time, I don’t talk too much and I just give him the exact taste of the same medicine. It works every time and he adjusts immediately. Same for him when he tells me he doesn’t like something if I don’t adjust, he will give me the exact taste of my medicine. So far, it’s been working for both of us because we both adjust accordingly.
My question is that I hope this petty behaviour from my guy and I is not a toxic one?
If it is not toxic that’s good. But at what point does this behaviour become toxic?
NB: So far, this petty behaviour has been working well for the both of us.
From what I'm seeing here, you guys are more focused on your weaknesses than your strengths. If you want your relationship to work, focus more on his strengths than his weakness cos no one is perfect. He would continue to make mistakes, He would offend you, however you choose to address it would go a long way in building and strengthening whatever you have for each other. Cos retaliating in a relationship is childish.

It builds up grudge in your heart. The time you should spend forgiving and loving each other, you'll discover that you'll spend it trying to get back at each other for what one of you did to the other. Thus killing the little love and affection that's needed to build your relationship.

My advice is this you communicate with each other whenever you feel one party is in the wrong and learn to forgive and forget cos that's what love is all about. Also, learn to focus on his strengths, see the good side of him and hold on to that.

Your suggestion make sense but not in these environment, those demonic party will never present the kind of leader that will take Nigeria forward

The truth is, politicians don't take Nigerians serious at all, the only way to hold them accountable is continunous agitation & protest thats what they fear
To be honest, protest and agitations can't work in today's Nigeria. It would be tribalized before it even starts.

Most Nigerians don't care about the credibility of the candidate they vote for. As long as he's from their tribe and shares the same faith with them, they're ok.

During the build up to last Year's election, I was discussing with one APC supporter and what he said shocked me. He told me that it's the turn of the yourbas and even if Tinubu (using his words) chops money, he'll be chopping it on their behalf cos it's their turn and he (Tinubu) is their brother.

When you have a populace with such mindset, you shouldn't expect anything reasonable from them. Cos the way they reason is totally different from yours.

Foreign Affairs / Re: Nancy Pelosi Endorses Kamala Harris For President by Nazgul: 7:36pm On Jul 22
How do you know a working country?

Biden was fumbling in all his debates and interviews. When it became clear to everyone that he obviously wouldn't stand a chance against Trump, his party pressurized him to pull out of the race.

Tinubu exhibited similar characteristics during the build up to 2023 elections. Yet rather than advise him to endorse someone more credible and capable and step aside, his supporters kept on cheering and making excuses for him.

Look at where we are today. All the achievements they claim to make are on paper. The reality is out there. Nigerians are suffering, insecurity is increasing daily, foreign companies are exiting in their dozens....

That's the difference between a white man and a black man.

To be honest, any protest done against this regime is DOA. Cos it would be highjacked by paid hoodlums, or dispersed by security agencies with a disturbing figure of casualties.

The only solution to this mess is to shun tribalism and collectively vote out APC come 2027.

The north were preparing for a protest, yet this coward couldn't stand up to them but rather choose to blame Peter Obi. Calling such person a coward is an insult to the word. He's worse than a coward. How would Peter Obi sponsor a protest in the North? What influence does he have there that he wants to sponsor a protest over there?

Honestly, aside Igbo hate and tribalism, APC has nothing to offer Nigerians. Just ask them critical questions about the economy, they'll immediately switch to Igbo hate and Peter Obi cos that's the only thing that unites their urchins under one broom.

Bayo's principal has reduced hardworking Nigerians to beggars. Yet rather than look for solutions to the problem they caused, he's there calling out Peter Obi who has been going about visiting and encouraging families his administration plunged into poverty and death.

I've been telling people, 2027 wouldn't shock Tinubu. His billions and touts wouldn't save him, cos the way the north would disown him, even his own ministers would be shocked.

If your supposed girlfriend still distributes her number to men, it clearly means that you're not what she's looking for. She's just using you to pass time pending when she'll find the kind of man she wants.

So my dear op, you're dating yourself. My advice is that you stop giving her that 30k monthly stipend and use it for something meaningful in your life.

The requirements of BVN is to enable them check the cash flow in your accounts and to verify the account statement you presented to them. Since a major requirements is for an applicant to have a specific amount in his account.

It has nothing to do with loans. Embassies no be loan collectors.
Wrong. Your BVN contains your bio data and activities on your account including servicing and defaulted loans (if any)

See the thread below and quit your ignorance.

https://www.nairaland.com/8126391/man-allegedly-denied-visa-owing

Once your BVN is submitted, their purpose of checking isn't to find out if you're owing any loan company. It's basically to confirm the activities on your account.

However If your BVN has been blacklisted by a loan company it would show right there during the search that you've defaulted on a loan. And they would see you as someone who cannot be trusted with cash. Thus making them deny your visa.

Embassy dey give loan abi embassies na Loan collectors?
You think say na Children you dey talk to abi? Loan company agent dey advice someone with a real Job grin
Please I don't have strength for your sheer display of ignorance.

So you're not aware that bank statements, transcripts (for student visa) and other necessary documents along with your BVN are forwarded to the embassy you're intending to seek visa from.

The embassy would then verify those documents along with your BVN to be sure that they're authentic and you're credit worthy. Are you aware that there are hundreds of thousands of people applying for that visa like you?

Let me even shock you...I applied for US visa last year around October. My interview date with the embassy is next year. Meaning I'll wait for 2 years before attending my interview. That should tell you the magnitude of people applying everyday. And they certainly wouldn't give everyone visa because they have a quota they're working with. So they scrutinize your documents by employing every means necessary to try as much as possible to reduce the number of people who would be granted visa.

Or you think you'll just walk into an embassy, drop your documents and expect them to stamp your visa without proper verification and scrutinization of those submitted documents... lol.

Poverty and hunger in Nigeria has made those embassy staffs work overtime to tighten their doors and make their requirements more stricter cos they're aware that almost every Nigerian wants to escape Tinubu's administration.

Do you know what credit Card does? You no know say every Oyinbo man wey get credit card dey owe the credit card providers the money he spent? Have you ever here say embassy hold someone for using credit card?

It's legal to borrow money and no embassy care weather you borrow money or not. Since no be the embassy u use as Collateral. From Governments,Banks, Cooperate organisations are and individuals owe different forms of loans.

It's not a crime to owe.
Owing isn't a crime.

Defaulting on the other hand gives you a bad credit score.

Embassies don't care if you're owing. But they'll turn down your application if multiple loan companies blacklist your BVN cos it would become obvious to them that you're not credit worthy.
