Autos / Kia Motors; Non Uniform Service Charges! by palemoon(f): 11:50pm On Dec 27, 2011
Hi all,
I own a kia rio and it seems the service charges are not regulated. A friend who owns a Sportage said she changed her AC filter for 1000 naira, it was previously malfunctioning. I went for servicing the next week and asked that my AC be checked because I had the same problem. It was not checked and the reason was that any work done on the Ac will cost at least 6000 naira so they had to check with me first.
Why should there be a discrepancy in prices
Can other people who own Kia Cars tell me how much they pay for basic servicing, which is oil and filter I have been charged 9k for the past 2 services.
Thank you

During the transfiguration, Moses and Elijah appeared to Jesus on a mountain in Isreal which is the promised land
Forum Games / Re: Bible Quiz Game by palemoon(f): 1:04am On Sep 27, 2007
The woman that named God After she encountered Him was Hagar, Abrahams concubine.
Moses did not enter the promise land in his life time but when Jesus was transfigured he actually entered the promised land.

Romance / Re: What Birthday Gift Should I Buy For My Girlfriend? by palemoon(f): 10:37pm On Sep 01, 2007
You can give her a romantic card, take her out for a dinner, with table set for 2 with scented candles and soft music playing, you can give her a set of towels, nice books ( if she is the reading type) a small jigsaw puzzle ( if she will like the challenge) cute underwears ( if you are that close) a dressing bag and shoe to match, go to a first class resturant ( if you have the money because even if she is not demanding you can still spend money to appreciate her). A packet of chocolates would not be out of place, you can surprise her with a small get together; invite your friends and her closest friends too.
There are so many things you can give to a lady but I think the most important gift is you. Be there for her, be attentive to her and immerse her in your love. smiley
Investment / Re: Stockbrokers by palemoon(f): 1:53am On Sep 01, 2007
Stockbrokers can buy and sell for you from their own account. For now the contract note is adequate but you can ask them the steps required to take to open a cscs account going thru them. Each stockbroker you have will give you a different cscs account

Virtually all stockbrokers sell all IPO's

@Atilla, osedume & alliednetw
none of you has offered to buy and sell for him as at when required which is a major problem people have with their brokers.
Investment / Re: Stockbrokers by palemoon(f): 12:12am On Aug 30, 2007
@n.oxide
There are many stockbrokers around you. To know a good firm, ask questions from those who make use of their services. You can also check up their web site. The amount of money you want to invest will also determine the one you chose. Valueline securities will take from 100k and cash craft about that. Some require a minimum of a million.
Its important to find out if he knows his stuff, so you can ask questions about specific stocks that you have info about, let him tell you the ones he has invested in with evidence and show you some of the company's best records
