The only private sector in Nigeria currently is the banking sector which ofcourse will do the government's bidding, others are bet9ja and co who are not represented in the negotiations, The bet9jas and Co are majority of the businesses trying to survive, no employee of theirs insist on minimum wage, they go home with whatever the organization can afford and everyone is indifferent. The banks in coniival with the government impoverish the people, that's why they are the only sector not complaining about the current economic situation. In this ongoing minimum wage negotiations, the private sector is represented mainly by the banks which is same as the government, hence both can easily agree on a figure We shall stand our ground, there is no going back now, its above a N100k or nothing, otherwise tell me the moral justification for a 300% increase in judges salaries and a N29m Nigeria's senator's monthly take home 263 Likes 27 Shares |

Lobatan!!! NLC Strike Episode 2 loading. We all saw this coming. After all, N62,000 is higher than N60,000. Isn't it? Shebi it was National Grid they shut down before. This time around, dem go kuku disconnect all the electric poles join. Let's see how this movie would eventually play out. On a more serious note, NLC should make more pressing demands beyond minimum wage that affects the entirety of the Nigerian population, not just the civil servants and salary earners. How about insisting on government tackling the inflation rates and high cost of living, price regulation of goods and services, reducing the electricity tariffs, creating enabling policies for business owners and ensuring the welfare of every Nigerian. 265 Likes 25 Shares |

These people dey play.. The minimum wage for a whole one month should not be less than the equivalent of USD100. What is the difference between 62k and 60k that Labor went on strike for? Just 2k that can’t even buy a sizable quantity of Suya! These people really take labor dey play football! Labor should meet tomorrow and return to Strike from Monday because these people have shown that they are jokers, they are not serious at all 117 Likes 9 Shares |

Someday, this country will be brought to its knees. That day, the ordinary military men, the police men on the street etc will side with the citizens and chased these politicians out of the country. We can no longer tolerate this people. 157 Likes 12 Shares |

Dapromzy333:▶ Any amount less than $64.5 or Naira 94,893.69 is extreme poverty and should not even be considered of worth. ▶ Any amount less than $68 or Naira 102000, which is the former minimum wage adjusted for the approximate 340% depreciation of Naira since February 2023, is pretty much not a raise but adjustment to match the old minimum wage. I suspect the recent increase of 300% for the Judiciary was such an adjustment made against the Naira depreciation level. So this Naira 120,000 or $68 point needs to be where Labor begins its negotiating for a raise. ▶ At the federal level though, anything less than N250,000 should be rejected by federal workers. Given the padding senior workers at the federal level freely give themselves, I see no reason why some of that extra padding should not work it's way down and across the board to other Federal workers. What is a poverty line?https://www.worldvision.org/sponsorship-news-stories/global-poverty-facts 13 Likes 2 Shares |
