baLLoTBOxX: "......its a bargain for the huge political relevance we are enjoying today". My people use to say,'when a grasshopper is dripping oil, while being dried for eating, the grasshopper will be saying, wow,am full of oil'.your statement above depicts lack of self-truth. If you think that, north riding on you,to become president,is 'political relevance',then you should wake up Awolowo, and ask him the meaning of 'use and dump'. Let me give you something to think; Should Gej get re-elected in 2015,he will determine who succeeds him,and of course who will deputize his choosen candidate. And of course, its gona be Middle-belt/SE. What it means is that, you and your people, have NOT started crying. In as much as am not stopping you from crying, let me give you something to go home with, and you are free to qoute me anywhere; As long Febuary election is concerned,it is "a win or break" election. You can cry more now. 4 Likes 1 Share |

GEJ chose the wrong audience for his harum-scarum comment. I will explain. 1. Yorubas do not really care that the present Speaker of the HOR is not Yoruba. if GEJ has forgotten, I will remind him. Dimeji Bankole was massively rejected by his ppl in 2011. Of course, Yorubas, especially his constituents, knew that a return to the HOR for Bankole means a return to the Speakership seat. But what did they do? They rejected him. 2. It is arguable that Yorubas are far more politically wise than any ethnic group in Nigeria. They know too well that politicians use the 'ethnic' and 'zoning' card to benefit themselves and their families. After all, what did Bankole and Etteh do for them than the offcut record that they were Yoruba Speakers? 3. GEJ was subtly trying to get at APC for not supporting a Yoruba Speaker. But Mr. President, that political sentiment can only work in the South East/ South South where ethnic bigotry is so much entrenched. I am sorry if anyone feels offended by this. Sadly, it is the truth. B) Perhaps GEJ has also forgotten that Mulikat Adeola was d candidate of the Patience Jonathan led presidency...and that was the MAJOR reason Tambuwal lost. If the man (cnt remember his name) that had been endorsed by the S'West PDP had not been forced to step down for Mulikat Adeola, Tambuwal would have probably lost. 4. GEJ has never been pretentious about his dislike for Yorubas. The facts are there. If I have the time, I can open my very first thread on NL to justify this assertion. But for now, can you quickly race your minds down to his many comments on Lagos; the way he derided elected Yoruba Governors as "rascals" (can he describe Gov's in d East/S'South or Northern Governors that way?) etc 5. If APC are to be blamed for d loss of the Speakership position, then GEJ has finally confirmed his incompetence. His party/had/has the majority in the HOR. So who's to be blamed for not using the PDP machinery to produce 'his Speaker' ? It just does not make sense. 6. Assuming APC is to be blamed for truncating Mulikat Adeola's ambition, are they also responsible for the third class positions GEJ has given to Yoruba in his govt? Out of all the ministers from the S'west zone, only Aganga (Edo and Lagos) and Johnson (Ondo) have 'moderate ' positions. All others are Ministers of States; relegated to the background. His kinsmen & women are occupying d. most significant positions; Madueke, Petroleum (Bayelsa) ; IWEALA , c. economy(Delta); Onoemelen , Works (Edo) ... I can go on and on. GEJ chose the wrong environment: The Great OAU.I'm a proud alumnus. To OAU undergrads: tnx 4 telling GEJ d TRUTH via your boes and peltings. A president under whose watch Universities were under locks and keys for 6 months deserves that treatment...A president under whose watch all Federal Polytechnics were shut for 1 full year deserves more than that! 27 Likes 3 Shares |

If goodluck jonathan rule this our dear country for another 20 years, the country would still be rudderless and still on its knees. What are the projects he completed in the last five years? He could not improve electricity provision while the population is growing very fast. 2 Likes |
