Obasanjo sold almost everything Nigeria called its own, he embezzled sooo much. We shouldn't just put all the blames on Jonathan. Corrupt practices has been in Nigeria even b4 1960. To an extent, the BH menace has casted a shadow on the deeds of GEJ's administration. We should just hope for a government that will alleviate the sufferings of this nation come 2015. Cos seriously, me looking through the profile of the persons vying for the position of the presidency, from the party, APC. I don't see anyone a bit betterof. They are all Idolised Criminals

Thank God for Jonathan then.
Past Nigerian leaders wouldn't hesitate in using the military and police to extinguish these peaceful protesters and blame it on thuggery and oppositions but like the gentleman that he is ,he was cool, calm and collected taking all the insults face to face. That is the mark of a true leader despite all the setbacks caused by some disgruntled politicians to paint him as a weak and incompetent leader.

We have seen on several occasions in this country how Presidents and Governors ordered the massacre of protesting students across the country ,but this man with a humble beginning refused to soil his name in blood even as disgruntled politicians continue to spread carnage across the country.
May I also remind you that two days ago there was a protest by Ogoni youths in PHC over Amaechi's choice of Governorship aspirant for the APC ,they got more than what they bargained for even as two of the protesters laid down dead, no thanks to Amaechi's highhandedness and this same man that was rejected by the PDP was considered a ''progressive'' by the APC.

You can do the math by yourself.
election is near , he knows violence/ massacre would add more to his problems.... Simple as abc. Do you know how the west took on the subsidy ish. You think they are so quick to forget. Majority of the protests then were in The south west.

To hell with gej and everything that he represents. We can see he's trying to so hard to get our sympathy which will not work. He's a wolf in sheep's clothing.
thats what he does , seeking pity to cover his failures. Only an incompetent man does that. Even as obasanjo was not so good , I never heard him make this kind of statements.

Who care where the speaker comes from so far we can get shelter, electricity, water, motorable roads, and a job to go to. Mr President just do your job and history will be kind to you, what Nigerians are asking for is not too much.

Too late to shed crocodile tears. What did you do when a PDP leader was calling the APC a yoruba amala and ewedu party in anambra? You were seated there urging them on as they ridiculed awolowo. His spirit gave you a taste of disgrace to come when you visited a great university named after him, as the students chanted and called you and your cohorts thieves. Where's our lagos-ibadan expressway? Is it now you want to repair all the junk federal roads in lagos? Oh, you suddenly realised that the votes from SS and SE can't help you retain aso rock so you now. need those of the SW. I thought those 2 regions were the pillar of your government as you proudly announced to the world as if they were the only regions you that got you elected. Even if they were, should a president be making such divisive statements? I was never a tribalist but you woke up my tribal conscience. We are glad tambuwal became the speaker cos we yorubas aren't fools. That seat was a bargain for the huge political relevance we are enjoying today. Who doesn't know that having a yoruba man there via the fraudulent PDP zoning would have favoured you and only you as he would do your bidding just as the senate has been doing? The Mulikat you wanted to install is from my constituency in ogbomosho and I was on ground in 2011 when she came begging to be re-elected as she shared N500 notes to the people and dropped a transformer too weak to carry the load of the neighborhood. Her brake light hasn't been seen since then. That's enough to show you that you would have just empowered an individual yoruba instead of the whole of them. What did patricia etteh and dimeji bankole benefit the yorubas? They only enriched themselves. Your government enriches individuals only. We are not like fools who sing your praises cos you gave their tribes men political posts. What we want are developments. Am glad you failed in installing mulikat cos we would have faced the kind of thuggery the fayose you gave federal backing is delivery to the ekiti people. I hear you are bringing obanikoro for lagos. Bring it on! Why do you associate yourself with thugs, fraudsters, drug barons, militants and looters? Mr president, you disappointed not only the yorubas but also sane nigerians. We voted massively for you in 2011, am sorry to say this in tears: you won't have our votes anymore.
Every sane Nigerian will definitely subscribe to your points. Thank you!

Fearsome only when it comes to violence. Zero when it burns down to common reasoning.

Or maybe the boko guys too.

Students are respected for intellectualism and and academic prowess.

Not on anyone's side here. But I'm rather uncomfortable with that expression.

brother , if people are seeing development even in a selfish govt , don't you think the selfish govt should be applauded. Nobody is saying these officials should not chop , but at least they should envisage true developments. You don't need to condemn another person who is loved just to convince people to love your incompetent boss.

PONDERING ON WHY NIGERIA IS AS IT IS

I wish Nigerians could emulate great countries where politicians seeking public offices after election irrespective of the concluded results, voluntarily accept it, bury their grievances and join hands in moving their nation forward. To be candid, all these speech babbling and wasted efforts in fighting one another by our leaders if rightly channeled to address certain issues bothering Nigeria and citizens would have been more meaningful. The most painful of them all is that now, the most corrupt in Nigeria are the ones who have a say and are not helping matters at all but worsening them. God help Nigeria! Another election is around the corner. Please let's correct our past mistakes and join hands in uplifting Nigeria irrespective of who wins and not minding their religious, ethnic or political differences. This is because such factors have for so long been a major set back to development and growth of this nation. NIGERIA SHALL GROW IF ONLY WE CHANGE OUR MINDSET.

What a dumb cow for a President.

1. Playing ethnocentric tribalistic card WILL NOT fly with we the South Westerners again. We are not hungry for positions, as this only serves to enrich individuals and not our society at large.

2. President Gooddunce is really a kindergarten president. No President has the power/authority to choose a speaker. The legislature is not an appendix to the executive. What manner of doofus is this man for goodness sake?! undecided

3. We in the SW, have resolved not to vote for you nor fall again for your childish and foolish stories of deceit nor play the religious and ethnic minority card which you used in 2011.

4. Start packing your load Jonathan. The game is up for you!
