Nigerians have never been this divided. Jona.daft dividing Nigerians along ethnic and religious lines since 1832 and let's all say a big NO to that crap. The clueless one who i believe doesn't even know which state Chibok or Mubi is located and the saTANists always licking his azz . I'd rather go for a Muslim northerner now than a Christian Southerner, at least GEJ and OBJ are both Christians from the south and did we notice any change? Yar'adua left too soon but we felt him to an extent. 4 Likes |

majekdom2: We cannot be certain who wins 2015 elections. You only have 1 vote likewise every other Nigerian. We all can vote once. If God says GEJ will not win, then that is the will of God for the country. No one will die because if that. We don't even know what coming after 2015 elections. I wish we could all see into the future, maybe then we will all stop worrying. |

Truckpusher:You are very correct on this bro. You just sit and watch what will unfold nxt year. And I want u to know this that Yorubas don't forget history and if u have offended yorubas before, they will forgive u ooo but dey don't forget ur sins. They will visit it again another time. Don't be surprised if Jonathan swept d votes from SouthWest, the reason is because, majority of the Yorubas will rather vote for Jonathan than a northerner same goes with the South East and South South.... Coz what Nigerians pass through in the hands of this northerners cannot be forgotten so soon. Even the Northerners themselves knows this, that was why they had to fielded Obasanjo in 1999. And Obasanjo also promised to hand over to them back and being a smart man, he installed weak Yardua and told them that they should compensate his late elder brother. Let APC field another popular Presidential candidate, either Fashola or Oshiomole and make a northerner as the VP. But their so called born-to-rule mentality won't allow them. Anyway, history will be visited again come next year..... As for me and my relatives... Jonathan is the only best available option until a credible candidate emerges from the opposition.... Either Fashola, Oshiomole, or Okorocha. Then come 2019, the Northerners can have it again. 2 Likes |

The more people come on here and say things like North, born to rule, and all the ish the more I get disgusted with the President and his advisers, why must they want to divide new generation internet age Nigerians on ethnic grounds? .For me it just clearly shows that this govt have no good intentions for Nigeria as a single country 4 Likes |

Truckpusher: Thank you for the eulogy you just gave the Yoruba race. Am glad you know Yorubas are always independent (this is what most tribes fail to realise about we Yorubas) but Independence comes with a price you must pay. South africans paid with their lives through anti-apartheid struggle and they eventually got it, US paid through the American Revolutionary War with so many people sacrificing their lives, we Yorubas paid by sacrificing Mulikat Akande for us to be able to think independently as we are doing presently without fear or favour. Don't get it twisted my broda when you see some Yoruba folks drumming the beat of support for Jonathan (someone that has failed not only the Yorubas but also the entire Nation at large including his tribesmen), even the bible confirmed it that out of every 12 there must be a Judas. 4 Likes |

Gbawe2: Na politics o. Most likely in response to outcry like this - http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/yorubas-decry-marginalisation-in-federal-appointments/138685 The Yoruba nation yesterday reviewed the lopsidedness in elective positions and appointments made at the federal level, and concluded that the region has been shortchanged. Speaking under the aegis of Yoruba Unity Forum (YUF) in a press conference addressed by former Secretary to the Federal Government (SFG), Chief Olu Falae, the forum remarked that President Goodluck Jonathan has been unfair to the region in the sharing of federal offices. The conference, which had the Vice-Chairman of the forum, Rev. Bolanle Gbonigi, in attendance, tasked Jonathan to consider the interest of the region in any other top federal appointments. According to the group, the Yoruba people are being systemically shortchanged in the distribution of entitlements under the Jonathan administration and thus being deprived of their rights to equality of treatment. The group asserted that the complaints about the systematic marginalisation of the Yoruba nation cannot be equated by Jonathan to the usual cries of marginalisation from all geo-political zones. The group, which backed the Yoruba nation’s complaints with annexture lamented that no Yoruba indigene was ranked in the 12 topmost positions that constitute the apex of the political power hierarchy in the country. “Thus, the absence of any Yoruba at the top of the political hierarchy has consequential effect on the Yorubas in respect of appointments and job security throughout the federal service,” they argued. |

majekdom2: You dey mind am. No be d same oil wey don dey almost turn to groundnut oil. Just as d yorubas are saying and have always stood for. That was why he was voted in the first time. Because they felt he deserved to be there and Nigeria does not belong to one person. He got there and said they were doing abgero politics. The same agberos politics that got u votes from their region. Let the south-south and south-east help him. They are d pillars of his administration. As much as I hate Tinubu, I have seen visible and tangible work going on in most apc states. GEJ has no moral ground to talk about yorubas giving hor to hausa cus he has also breached his initially statement when he was voted in. He said he wasn't going for second term so why d double standard. |
Re: I Regret Not Having A Yoruba As Speaker. Jonathan by Concept(m): 11:10am On Nov 29, 2014 |
Truckpusher: He (Tinubu) was able to achieve that because of his expertise in people's management. I am a Yoruba man, I do not like Tinubu for his sharp practices, and whose responsibility is to lock the likes of Tinubu, Gbenga Daniels, Fayose, Odili, Bankole, Alams, and the likes behind bars if not our president but all these people have their freedom because none including the president has a clean record. However what makes Tinubu to be different is the criteria he chooses to pick who succeed him. I know of Edo, Osun, Ogun, Lagos, not that comfortable with Ajumobi in Oyo but if you look at these governors' work in the first four years, you will know that Tinubu has done well for the South-West despite his shortcomings of which I know some of these other politicians cannot be exempted, however what have you gained from them, they only enrich themselves like Tinubu and you are here supporting on ethno-religious reasons. Yoruba has discovered that as filthy as Tinubu might be he has eye for a good administrator. He is a politician of Nigeria context but what he does is search for people with 75% administrative skills and 25% political skills, he covers the rest for them and for this reason people started believing his endorsement. Now under our president Naira has been further devalued, foreign reserves depleted, austerity measures adopted, economy is being threatened because of sharp drop in crude oil in international market. The reason why the sane among the Yorubas are insisting for change is because we are looking for a critical thinker who will be a problem solver rather than someone who channel every issue through committees. The channels in which money is being wasted under this government are enormous, if you still love the existence of Nigeria as a very healthy state, you will despise this kind of administration or style of governance. 12 Likes 2 Shares |
