What I can answer, however, is that religion played a very large role in choosing a leader that has proven to be even more insensitive than PMB.

The Sharia Council helped the Muslim-Muslim ticket to be successful. We campaigned and supported this government until it came to power, but we are suffering”.
They said Peter Obi was using religion to divided people. Stupid efulefu like Reno Omokri latched unto it and pronto he feast on it. Now he is deaf to how this evil have made life in Nigeria a pain today.

Be buying presidential jet/yatch, exotic SUVs for the overfed buffoons in the NASS, or spending on senseless ventures that bear no semblance to the pain and afflictions of the common man in the nation.

Yet these bastards include the corrupt Godswill Akpabio-led Senate is nauseatingly telling Nigerians that they will be eating while beleaguered citizens are protesting for good governance? A hungry man is an angry man. And the rage of an angry man is always difficult to control.

Politics / Why Is Nigeria Paying More For Fuel, And What Are The Solutions? Reno Omokri by Racoon(m): 3:07pm On Sep 06
What Nigerians need to understand is that the government cannot fund us. Rather, we fund the government. There are only four ways by which a government can get revenue.

-The first is by sending the resources of the people and the state and claiming it as its own, which General Aguiyi Ironsi did with his Unification of Assets Decree Number 34 of May 24, 1966.

-The second is by taxing citizens and corporations.

-The third is printing money.

-The fourth is borrowing money. Other than these ways and means, governments do not have money that they generate.

We Nigerians are some of the most entitled people on Earth. We expect a lot from our government, yet we hardly pay taxes. Nigerians will watch a movie set in Europe and complain that we want what we see. European nations, like Germany, have a tax-to-GDP ratio of 39%, while Nigeria has a tax-to-GDP ratio of less than 10%.

If you earn €58.597 in Germany, you will pay 42% of your income or €24,610 as taxes. There will be riots if you ask Nigerians to pay this type of tax. So, where will the money to run Nigeria come from?

Oil? Saudi Arabia has a population of 35 million and makes $350 billion annually from oil. That is $10,000 per citizen. Nigeria has a population of 220 million people and generates approximately $36 billion from crude annually. That is $150 per person. At 2.6 million people, Qatar is just one per cent of our population. Yet, their annual revenue is $68 billion. Two and a half times that of Nigeria.

Nigeria is not "oil rich". We are oil-poor. On a per capita basis, Ghana is more oil-rich than we are. We produce 1.5 million barrels per day for a population of 220 million people. Ghana produces 200,000 barrels per day for a population of 32 million.

So, when Nigerians hardly pay taxes and our oil and gas revenue is insufficient to meet the demands of running our country, we are forced to borrow or print money, which means that inflation will increase.

And under this situation, we cannot afford to artificially reduce the price of fuel by paying subsidy. We will go bankrupt. Therefore, much as this annoys you, the only options are to allow market forces to control the price of fuel, just as it does other commodities, or we must be prepared to pay higher taxes.

Failing that, Nigeria will continue to borrow or print more money, fueling inflation and increasing commodity prices.
Protests and riots cannot change these economic realities. They will be just like a child's tantrum when his parents cannot afford to buy him a toy.

Finally she revealed that the Nigerian government wrote the Canadian authorities that she was a terrorist, and they invited her for questioning.

But when she played various tapes of those who were calling for Igbo children to be killed, they released her to go, and wrote back to the Nigerian government to do more on integration
Now this is a nation that the law works. She was already tagged by Abike Dabiri and the useless Nigerian government as a terrorist while the likes of Remi Tinubu, Bayo Onanuga, Femi Fani-Kayode, the efulefu called Reno Omokri, MC Oluomo and many other hoardes of anti-Igbo haters are still roaming free?

In so much that 2 wrongs does not make a right. However, I later had a rethink about the outburst of this Igbo woman when it was certain Abike Dabiri hypocritically skipped all the threats some people had made prior to her own outburst to only narrow down prismatically on Amaka's own. That is double standard or bloody hypocrisy.

"Now, we come to the ‘sophisticated’ South-West, and to a great extent, the South-South. I wept for Yorubaland! The regioen proved to be the most unfortunate group in the ‘protest’, which ensured that everything about the hunger in the land is as a result of the ‘hatred’ for Tinubu!

I feel so ashamed each time I come across the state-sponsored narratives that have emanated from the South-West over this ‘protest’. Again, the pro-government groups and individuals in the South-West have also shown that Nigeria is a superglued nation!

For many of these ‘Hallelujah’ groups, it doesn’t matter if Tinubu performs in office or not as long as it is a Yoruba man that is there! They don’t care if or not their man would be leaving behind any legacy.

These are the set of people (very many of them hungry and beggarly), who have taken the “Èmilókán” campaign to a level that no matter how fatuous a government policy is, as long it is Tinubu that initiated it, ‘all true sons and daughters of Yorubaland’ must embrace it!

To them, with that kind of thinking faculty, the hunger in the land is because people lost elections. The inability of farmers to go to their farms because of farmers’/herders’ clashes can be traced to election losers. The floating of the Naira, poor economic policies of the government and the extravagance at all levels of government is all about 2027. Pity!

Politics / Don’t Worsen Our Pains With Petrol Price Hike, Yoruba Elders Tell Tinubu by Racoon(m): 12:29pm On Sep 06
The Yoruba Council of Elders, YCE, yesterday, expressed worry over the state of the nation, just as it urged President Bola Tinubu to tackle the current hardship faced by Nigerians.

The YCE, in a statement by its General Secretary, Oladipo Oyewole, said though it was hopeful that there will be a positive turnaround in the country, “there is, presently, a lot of suffering in the land.”

The statement reads: “The YCE remains hopeful that Nigeria will have a turnaround. However, going by scanty information available on Government pursuits and activities, there is, presently, a lot of suffering in the land.

“Be that as it may, we of YCE stand on our strong position that the interest of the masses to live a good life should be given full attention. Without regular supply of electricity and with the official announcement of an increase in the price of Petroleum Products (PMS), the current hardship cannot but be increased in daily living by Nigerians. The Federal Government ought to immediately pursue every avenue to make available to our people, the dividends of democracy. Not through the distribution of palliatives (that does not seem to filter to the bottom) but by putting in place avenues to enhance proper/quality living through effective governance administration.

“Every Nigerian should be entitled to enjoy our common resources. Indeed, Nigerians are suffering deeply at this time, no light, no fuel, no food.

“Mr President should, without delay, revisit his drawing board to attend to the short-term needs of Nigerians (the immediate needs of the people) whilst pursuing the long-term vision of making Nigeria a better place for growth and development

“As Elders, YCE wants immediate succour for the people to boost the welfare of Nigerians so that all can live in comfort and harmony. As far as this Elders Council is concerned a lot of administrative work by government is (absolutely) required for the masses of this country to live, stay alive as respectable and responsible people.

“The state of this nation today is a pill that has a bitter taste. The administration of President Bola Tinubu should do something quickly to ensure proper steering of its intentions to establish and install better governance in Nigeria. Infact, the Presidency should do all possible to alleviate the suffering of all Nigerians immediately and without delay.”

You don't understand evil, asiwaju is under attack
"The Buhari that came to power roughly eight years ago was packaged as someone who had it in him to exercise the self-restraints necessary to administer a dysfunctional country like Nigeria. For a benighted nation, the thought of having a president with integrity and self-discipline was alluring. No thanks to Buhari and his legendary incompetence, we now know better.

Meanwhile, the same people who packaged his myth are back in the market. Now they are promising that 2023 will bring “renewed hope.” We have moved from the taglines of ‘integrity’ and ‘anti-corruption’ to “builder of city” and “builder of men.”

That is how they will tell you that another messiah is on the way until somewhere down the line when the scam will unravel, first, through the failures of such leader; and second, through the person’s garrulous admission that none of what they told you was ever true.

Loans with nothing to show for it except debt pillage, corrupt embezzlement, economic stagnation, deteriorating widespread insecurity and a failed state. Chai! What a pathetic story! The situation has become unbearable that is why Nigerians are protesting.

Nigerians have chosen protest as a means of survival then no one can stop them from protesting as it is their fundamental right to do so. He asked for more time. Time to do what? What policies have the govt made that have been beneficial to Nigerians - a government that failed from day one in removing subsidies and floating the Naira without any preparation?

Neither have it shown remorse by recklessly increasing taxes, borrowing and spending, buying SUVs while the citizens bear the brunt of a hopeless economy. Nigerians can not continue to fold their arms & allow bad government to continue to kill them.

Imagine the staggering monies he has borrowed & still borrowing since last year, yet things are getting worse as cost of living continues to rise. The truth is that the Nigerian political structure is flawed as it doesn’t foster unity. Nigeria’s institutions have been weakened and compromised by those who seek to undermine democracy.

Tinubu can not succeed because of the corrupt and nepotistic structures of his govt. Those who believe that he has any plan on how to salvage Nigeria’s economy are only wasting their time. The government is only good at taxing Nigerians, borrowing to loot & pushing propaganda to divide the masses.

Tinubu can not and will not change the status quo that brought him to power. So let Tinubu and those in government find a lasting solution to the problems affecting Nigerians or resign if they don’t know what to do. The political class should always remember that No force on earth has ever successfully oppressed a set of people permanently.

Nigerians are already dying over harsh economic conditions, and many more will perish before 2027 if nothing done to avert the total break down of order and collapse of Nigeria’s economy.
