for those asking for past questions,
Im in the finance line and typical for the commercial recruitment day programme: YOU WILL NOT BE REQUIRED TO WRITE A TEST. The first phase will be an interview one-on-one whilst the second stage is the recruitment day which is a whole day (like 8 hrs or so), the whole day is centred around you being able to think outside the box and show ure a team player, also u must be proactive- think on the spot and give reasonable solution to impending problems. after that if ure successful u may be asked to meet with the head of ur department.

I have acousin that just got in through SRD (Shell Recruitment Day) in 2009.

I dont know the procedure for the Physical and Medical Sciences and Engineering tho, would probably be different.

Anyone with any info pls post

Best of luck to us all,

@ Bolded part above

Your hubby has to apply in Nigeria
It is advisable that you don't mention anything about the Canadian sponsorship, just state that you guys intend to settle in the UK

YOU SHLD HOWEVER STATE DAT U HAVE DUAL NATIONALITIES, they would normally ask you to apply for ur husband from Nigeria altho i have seen a case where d husband applied got married and applied in the UK whilst on visiting Visa (very rare and d lady went thru a lot of prob n legal formalities to make this happen).

They wud naturally expect u to take kia of ur husband before he settles but if u dont currently have a job and u n ur husband have strong savings, then u can tell them u intend to relocate to the UK with ur husband.

Better still u can go for like a month or 2 whilst u get u guys accommodation and get urself ground at ur place of work then file for him after the 3rd month or so. That way u prove u can support each other and realistically it doesnt sound too good saying a relative is housing u both unless they have a massive house with plenty of rooms n they can prove it,

best of luck
Romance / Re: Dont Call Me Aunty Again. by raiisaj: 8:59am On Jan 28, 2011
@new here,
There is no cause for alarm unless you have seen her getting too close for comfort, like being touchy touchy, always looking for something to remove from ur body or looking at u lustfully. Somepeople just dont want to feel old especially when u said she's married with no kids, she probably just want to get close to u on a normal frienship basis and the "aunty thing" will restrict dat.

You dont have to worry, but be on the look out for uncomfortable signs.

Am planning to take ACCA and CFA qualifications for career advancement. I have chosen Kaplan FTC London and fully paid the fees,

--I studied for my undergrads in the UK
--I got married to a british whilst in the UK but the marriage didnt work, and the home office was informed; at that time i had application with the HO to get the 2yrs spouse visa and at the knowledge of my marriage mishap the application was rejected.
-- I left the UK 3 weeks after i got my passport back, i needed time to clear my head anyway.
-- I havent returned back to the UK since 2008, ve been here and working with a very decent salary
-- I have my immediate family members in the UK (parents n siblings), all citizens.
-- I have the required £7200, of which £4000 out of it has been in my account for a while and the remaining got to my account on 23rd dec.
-- I wish to apply for visa in the on the 24th jan (to observe the 28days ritual)

Concerns
Can anyone pls help me, will any of the stated above info av any negative effects on the application?
Is there anything i need to look out for before applying?

Anyone with this kind of experience pls help, especially with the failed marriage issue, dont want it to sound like a sham marriage especially with the rise in sham marriages in the UK of recent. We were truly wedded but fell apart at the slightest sight of trouble.

BTW there was nothing like "ban" or any of tjose negative statements in the letter they used to refuse FLR
