Congrats....I keep tapping from all these good news ooo. If instruction to pay for tuition/board didn't come with your medicals, then you may have scaled thru that. After medicals, could take btwn 3wks-5wks to get ur trv...please did you apply through paper route or online route?

Baba, You don't have to wait for the school official receipt...Go and submit to the Embassy direct, Vfs na Long thing.... just make sure you quote your Name, application Number and your UCI number.

It depends which monday you are taking about; if it's yesterday then you should get it today depending if trading was done for you same day.

Has the money been deducted from your account? This should give you an idea. It comes within 24 hrs after fund deduction.

You should get it by today if your transaction was approved yesterday....it gets ready as soon as they approve the transaction @ d Head Office...try and keep in touch with the FT guy that handled ur transaction.

Also, as soon as it gets approved, you'll get an email from the Team in charge of ur transaction.

Now to your question; You have to be an account holder to wire money from any bank in naija. It does not mean you must use your bank as someone in another bank can make the transfer on your behalf. But it must move from a bank account and not over the counter cash transaction.

As for being fast; it depends on if your are wiring from a domiciliary account or from a current account

If you wire from current account then you will need to request for FORM A; which is an official request for the bank to buy foriegn currency at CBN official/auction rate (much cheaper than interbank rate) and wire to the school for you.

This CBN currency purchase is normally done Monday, Wenesday and Friday.
From observation; Firstbank and Fidelity Bank are very efficient. GTB is not bad either. I don't really know much about other banks but some may act funny when you request for FORM A. They would try to sell you dollars at interbank rate pretending it is faster. Please dont fall for it.

Your money will reflect in the school's bank account 2 to 3 days after you receive the talex from your bank.
