Ppl has grownup to understand it’s not about the money, even if Obi no win but he will earn a lot of votes...and the only thing that will make him not to win is because of the corrupt leaders we hv but for the poor mass we will do the right thing by voting integrity
Business / Re: My Four Bank Accounts Restricted/frozen by uksim: 1:23pm On May 28, 2022
LagosNissan:
I tried transferring money from my GTB account only to get error messages.

I thought it was network or app issues.

I tried several times from then till next day but same response.

I tried buying airtime but it failed too.

I now contacted the bank and they said account is restricted/frozen; that I should visit a branch.

I called account officer and he confirmed the restrictions but gave no reason for that.

He was just evasive but hinted that restrictions were placed by law enforcement agency. No agency specifically was mentioned.

I tried UBA and Zenith too, similar restrictions yet no reason.

I use the accounts for legit businesses online and have had them since over 14 years, so can't say with certainty what the issue is.

How do I handle this now as going to the banking hall might lead to arrests etc, so I need to be prepared.

I need suggestions please.

Normal Nigeria marginalize Igbos, but ipob activities is giving more excuses for further marginalization.

If this continues they might even cancel elections in South East and heaven won't fall, So IPOB criminals stop ruining Igbos in the South East..
Think about your people, the people outside don't give a dam.n.

This comment isn't in support of the decision of PDTF, but the fact remains if IPOB had stayed peaceful the PDTF and FG won't come up with this tasteless and flimsy excuse to further marginalize and stress Igbos resident in the south east. BUT ULTIMATELY IPOB IS DESERVING OF THE BLAME[/quote

Mynd44, geez, did you seriously push this nonsense to the front page?

For goodness sake what are you mods thinking or doing? Geez!!!!

1. For Pete's sake, the quoted section of this crap said that:

It did not say that Jonathan just woke up one morning and issued the order.

2. The section 9 which the demented OP is ranting about was clearly about AN INDIVIDUAL who's proven to have links with an EXISTING international terror organization.

a) IPOB is NOT an individual or A PERSON. IPOB is a PEOPLE of a SPECIFIC geographic location.

b) Neither IPOB nor Nnamdi Kanu has ever been linked to any international terror group.

c) You guys should stop feeding Nigerians with falsehood.

I think Nairaland pushed this nonsense to the frontpage just to dilute the effect of Senate President's comment on the matter. You also did it to confuse the gullible Nairalanders. Otherwise, this crap should have had no spot on the front page.

Can he categorically say that he rightly married that lady he's currently living with. Was this not the same way he was bashing Jonathan from all sides until he was bribed to go back to PDP and then suddenly turned around accusing the APC and labelling them fictitiously? May God deliver this man.

The APC, has been consistent in saying that the PDP has ruled Nigeria for 16 disastrous years in which corruption, impunity, insurgency, armed robbery and several ills of society held sway, but at a very close look at the APC, I am seeing:

1. Rotimi Amaechi - 8 years speaker and 7 years Governor under PDP.
2. Atiku Abubakar - 8 years Vice president under PDP.
3. George Akume - 8 years Governor under PDP.
4. Bukola Saraki - 8 years Governor and 2 years Senator under PDP.
5. Timipre Sylver - 4 years Governor under PDP. 6. Audu Ogbe - 2 years Chairmanship of the PDP.
7. Aminu Masari - 4 years as the Speaker, House of Representatives under PDP.
8. Chris Ngige - 3 years Governor under PDP.
9. Rabiu Kwankwaso - 7 years Governor and 3 years Defense minister under PDP.
10. El Rufai - 4 years FCT Minister and 2 years BPE chairman under PDP.

11. And to cap it all, Obasanjo is the
navigator of the APC, a man who spent 8 of the disastrous 16 years as the maximum ruler of Nigeria. It is now clearer that
APC is a waste basket of the PDP, where the people who created and perpetuated the 16 disastrous years are now dumped. ARU!!!

Politics / Re: Jonathan Ignores Anenih’s 2015 Advice by uksim: 8:21pm On Sep 14, 2013
debbleopto:

the quiet faces usually deceive. he will continually promise and fail.
It was Dalhatu Tafida, the Nigerian
High Commissioner to the United
Kingdom, who first let the world
into the working of the president’s
mind.
At a press conference in Abuja in
late 2010, a day ahead of
President Goodluck Jonathan’s
formal declaration to run in the
2011 presidential election, Mr.
Tafida, then Director General of
the Jonathan/Sambo campaign
organisation, said the president
won’t seek another term in 2015.
The president, he said, would be
available for only a single term if
elected.
“The President wants to run for
one term…Let us give him the four
years and see how he performs,”
Mr. Tafida implored, in what now
seems a campaign gimmick.
That explanation sounded logical
at the time following the
subsisting power rotation formula
between the North and the South
of Nigeria. Ex-President Olusegun
Obasanjo, a southerner of Yoruba
extraction, was in office for eight
years. The late President Umaru
Yar’Adua’s, a northerner, was
therefore expected to take the
north’s eight-year turn.
But death suddenly struck, foisting
Mr. Jonathan, who was Mr.
Yar’Adua’s deputy, on the nation.
So, when Mr. Talfida spoke, the
president didn’t deny or fault his
arguments. Rather he reinforced
them in his actions and speeches.
Although he denied knowledge of
the power rotation arrangement,
he was unambiguous about his
future.
Addressing Nigerians in Addis
Ababa, Ethiopia, where he
attended an African Union
Summit, the president regretted
they would not vote on April 9,
2011, in a poll that was to return
him for a fresh term.
“I would have loved that Nigerians
in the Diaspora vote this year. But
to be frank with you that is going
to be difficult now,” he said on
January 31, 2011,before striking
home his point.
“Nigerians in the Diaspora will not
vote, but I will work towards it by
2015, even though I will not be
running for election.”
The presidency’s denial on Sunday
that he has made no commitment
to anyone not to run again has
shocked many watchers of
Nigerian politics with some
describing Mr. Jonathan as a
shameless liar.
The denial has also triggered
debate on whether Mr. Jonathan’s
tenure will, or not transcend 2015.
In a reaction to Niger state
governor, Babangida Aliyu’s claim
that the president endorsed a pact
with the governors to exit in 2015,
presidential adviser on political
matters, Ahmed Gulak, said the
claim was “frivolous” and a
figment of the governor’s
imagination.
“The alleged agreement only exists
in the figment of the imagination
of somebody with presidential
ambition,” Mr. Gulak said,
referring to Mr. Aliyu’s own
ambition to succeed the president
in 2015.
The president himself has yet to
personally speak on the subject.
But that is not surprising as that
is a well known Aso Rock’s tactic
where the president pushes aides
to express his position on issues.
At times, when a sentiment
expressed by an aide gets
controversial, the president
pushes back, disowning such a
remark.
Still, Mr. Gulak’s response on the
president’s behalf seems
deliberate.
For a potentially stormy subject,
the president, through his political
mouthpiece, Mr. Gulak, needed to
have made it clear he signed no
agreement if indeed he didn’t

Mr man, tell me one tin in ur lyf that u promised and fulfil,u that is openin mouth.....as far as Nigerian is concern,GEJ has done well in his administration and wil do more in 2015....jst wait and see till 2015,its more valuable to hv an authentic man that is real in his action than to hv a crook and a hypocrist that wil fake his actions in his first tenure jst to please ppl and b voted to nxt tenure whr he will eat the country's moni jst lik most of our political leaders has done....a wiseman tk tym to study his map bf executing it,I bliv thats wat GEJ is doin even as he has done so much in executin most,..all those oppositional personnel that's paradin themslf wit ntin to over, claimin to hv a gud agenda for Nig shuld b ashame of themslves cos I knw that they hv bin one tym this or one tym that stil yet durin their administration they hv ntin offered to NIG and most of them do nt hv even a mild accontability of his administration yet they wnt to and governed us again...
