The push back has started. Since you want to tell your Grandfather who his father is, you'll be told who screwed your mother. Aboh will soon enthrone a new king, let's see if he'll go to Aro or Benin. The Dein of Agbor Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Dr. Benjamin Ikenchukwu Keagborekuzi I, has enjoined his subjects to stop promoting Igbo culture, describing the Agbor culture as ‘unique and peculiar’. The Dein gave the admonition at his palace recently while giving his royal blessings to the new Iregwa of Ogbemudien Community, Pa. Bogi Abagi. He called on the good people of Agbor Kingdom to join hands with him to effect the changes he desires to be in place. According to him, “I am back and happy to be in the midst of my subjects. This kind of gathering gives me joy because it is an opportunity for me to learn more from my people. There is room for change, therefore my wish and desire for my subjects is that they adopt and respect every change that is being made. Going through the history of Agbor Kingdom, one will thank the gods for wisdom. Thus, everyone will join hands with me to reposition things the way they ought to be in order to restore our lost glory”.

Igboid:You're a fleeting fõõl and unworthy of any sensible engagement. Focus on convincing your fellow morönś across the Niger who they are and where they're from. Focus on convincing Oguta people they're not from Benin. Focus on telling Aboh - Ozara people they're not from Delta State. Keep your folly in your region and ensure you feed it to your seed to guarantee your śtupîdîty continues into your next generation. |

Efewestern:The below attached historical records and accounts should tell you all you need to know about Aboh’s ties to Benin. The evidence attached herewith corroborates oral accounts from Aboh as well as those from its neighbors- all of which developed and were collected independently. Except there was a “Berlin-style” conference in which Benin, Anioma villages, and Aboh people were assembled to agree to tell these complementing stories in future, then the origin and history of Aboh people is not in doubt. It's legitimacy and reverence drew from this direct relationship with the Oba stool. And yes, IT DID CROWN at least an ISOKO King that I'm 100% sure of. Disregarding the below evidence, it would historically make sense for Benin that reigned supreme and largely unchallenged in the South, to maintain an outpost on the Eastern front in Aboh just as it did with Warri in sending Prince Ginuwa to reign over that land. These sort of controls would've ensured Benin indirectly controlled the major slave trade routes even though that trade was prohibited in the capital. The marked difference between what happened in Warri and what happened in Aboh however was that unlike in Warri where a political elite were sent to rule, a caravan arrrived Aboh and a fight of conquest ensued with the Aborigines. Having secured victory by subterfuge from the Igbo speaking aborigines and entered into a peaceful pact with the less numerous Itsekiri speaking aborigines (The Akarai and Iwuere people respectively) the Igbo-speaking aborigines were made to live separately in their Akarai homelands, allowing for the spouting of a new civilization comprising primarily of the original Benin migrants and those they integrated into their community from far and near. There is ABSOLUTELY NO evidence of Igbo dominance in Aboh ABSOLUTELY None and I dear any Cow talking non$ense here to provide any. Those still trying to push an Igbo-origin narrative and attempting to distort the history of Aboh and Anioma people in general are the usual suspects who do not know their own history but feel inclined to tell other people theirs. Clowns that still do not know that there are Aboh people in Imo and Enugu states that boldly claim to be of Delta origin, bear our names and espouse our culture in their supposed heartland. On the autonomy of Urhobo and Isoko communities, I haven't found any evidence of it. Maybe I haven't done enough research on the subject but what I do know and I stand corrected is that the Urhobo's were subject to the Oba's appointed King in Warri and the portions that didn't fall under the influence of the Olu of Warri were directly administered by the Oba from Benin. Reason there were no prominent Kings but chiefs in those parts up until later in the 19th century. These Chiefs were defacto kings and were required to gain legitimacy from a Benin-anointed stool hence the resort to trips to Benin and later, Aboh when it rose to prominence. 2 Likes

Igboid:I will ignore all the nonsense you wrote above and focus on the question I asked. You think yourself bright but you're not so bright to discern why I specifically mentioned those 2 communities. If you were half as smart as you think yourself, you'd have researched on those and realized they're not just Urhobo and Isoko communities that share the general Isoko or Benin Bini migration story but according to your warped historical account, also have the Igbo native doctor you call "Eze Chima" as their progenitor. Yes indeed because Aboh people consider both Ozoro and Orogun communities to be our distant kins and the founder of Ozoro was a certain "Oputa". So pray tell, why are these people speaking Urhobo and Isoko? Why are you not claiming them also? 1 Like 1 Share |

Ologbo147:This is disrespectful to Anioma people. Binis do not need to claim Anioma people and Anioma people are NOT sending any Olive branch to Bini for acceptance. The issue of the origin of Aboh and most Anioma people has been long settled on both sides and Aboh people know their place in Benin. Aboh people do not even need to assert their historical attachment with Benin because Benin historical accounts as asserted by no one less than the Oba, including Oba Eweka II and Oba Akenzua as well as erudite Benin historian Jacob Egharevba, have over time, affirmed Aboh's origin. The only reason this topic is still being debated is because a bunch of clowns think they have a say on the subject. See attachments. 1 Like

Igboid:When you're done with these, be kind enough to offer an explanation on why a purely Isoko community like Ozoro and a purely Urhobo community like Orogun share a similar migration story from Benin with its Anioma neighbors. Since name and language are all that determines ancestry in your big and empty head, tell us why these "Igbo people" that came from Benin like Aboh people, with the latter living in Aboh for at least a generation, now speak Isoko and Urhobo languages, bear Isoko and Urhobo names and have Isoko and Urhobo culture. I can not understand for the world of me why a people cannot mind their frigging business and are so bent on rewriting other people's history. Like what the actual fork? I mentioned communities like Aboh-Ozara and Oguta in the heart of Igboland that assert Benin and Aboh ancestry that you've not been able to convince to drop their Benin and Delta identity yet you think you can come to Delta State to and rewrite a 600 year old story with your contrived and illogical bull-sheet? Where are you from and what is your own history? Have you decided if you fell from the sky or you matched down from Israel? Have you finished telling your people where they're from that you now want to tell Aboh people who they are? |

^ And you banned me for what? For drawing a response from the pin head that banned me for 5days without letting me know. Oh I see, ediocy comes with territory. |

Odunnu: You were banned by Senior OAM4J for tribalism. It will be over by 20th January. No warning, no notification? how tha hell am I supposed to learn a lesson? Its just ediotic to ban me for making a light hearted comment simply because the usual pig faced bigots took the opportunity to throw the usual ethnic / Ojukwu slurs. My comment was on the lily livered Minister that collapsed at the boom of a canon, I simply asked lightheartedly "where Oduduwa had gone when God was sharing Liver that her shildren had turned out to be wussies! I only said so for the humour as my second hidden post on that thread alluded to so why on earth was I judged on the platform of the lunacy of others? Do I have a history of tribalism? In a sane platform with sane mods my comments wld have been laughed off like most normal folks including Yorubas did, but in Nairaland with thoroughly incompetent Mods that dont know where to draw the line and with sense of objectivity irredemably blunted by ethnic affiliation and sympathy what do we have? Wussies jumping at opportunities to exhibit vacuos cyber power! What on earth is wrong with that OAMewu4 dude? I can bet the morones (Dayo and Seanet) that turned my comment into an ethnic war were spared! I just hope that ban doesn't reflect on my record, what rubbish! See me see trouble this new year O! 2 Likes |

You can pull down your lower eyelids and say "ntoooy" so I know I deserved a ban in your opinion, or u cld help rationalize such a soft excuse for a ban or maybe plead on my behalf to the powers that be if u agree a 5day ban is harsh, but pls do not ignore my complaint. |

She said this ; It is GEJ's fault because he gave the instruction not to allow anyone in. How can you be waiting for bomb blast victims? Was he hoping that people will die because of him? And I said ; Where you there when he gave the instruction to your Fada? And she said ; My father does not work in National Hospital so you are wrong. But it seems you were there that is why u know he did not give the order. So I said ; thot your Fada was the one that answered Yesssssir when he dished out the instruction? Ok I get it now; It was your Boyfriend, Right? And she said ; @ Wesley80, you're really funny. Lol at answered Yessir. And I got;
And I'm like WTF? I've read thru the rules and I dont know which one I broke, what have i said that can pass for an insult?. Shouldn't I at least get a warning first? In this same NL where folks commit treason with words I'm getting banned for an innuendo? Not Fair. https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-774456.32.html#msg9280491 |

Been in my Polling centre in Warri for close to 2hrs and there isnt a single official in sight, obviously something has gone wrong. Most people have already left and there's a very scanty crowd left here and the stories are just as different as the faces i see here. The sun is getting hotter and i think its time to take a walk. |

@OP, I can tell u for a fact that whoever wrote those 2 initial articles either didnt study Economics in an African context or skipped some of their classes. Why? Cos a particular arm of Economics is dedicated to studying the peculiar problems of Developing economies and is called Development economics (DE). DE was championed in relatively advanced economies like India which (explains the authoritative status of the likes of Gunnar Myrdal, D R Gadgil and G M Meir) where the poverty level is no different from what obtains currently in Nigeria and I dare to say sometimes worse even for a country celebrated as a BRIC Nation. so to paint a demeaning picture and describe Nigeria as a 'Peculiar' case is downright misleading but only good enough to foool the ignorant. Fact is economists in developing countries have come to realize that while economic growth may mean development in advanced countries, the concepts are different and must be tackled individually in developing countries mostly due to the presence of Dual Economies within a particular economy. No country as of today has been able to bridge that divide not Brazil not India and obviously not Nigeria. Even though the effects are seen in varying degrees among the countries mentioned, Nigerias economic growth still remains the quickest way to pull the rest of the country out of its poverty as long as proper attention is paid to that other half, but to come out with such scathing criticism of an economy that is only beginning to realize its true potentials is downright wicked and keeping with the celebration of negativity syndrome that seems to be a recurring decimal that has underlined the oppositions campaign these days. |

My favorite GEJ Quote on the day of his declaration was when he said 'I have no enemies to fight' and he has been true to himself and to Nigerians by keeping his word. Any other person that endured what he did before ascending the throne would have gone about unleashing terror on his opponents and the famed Cabal that kept him from power, but not Gej. Where are the cabal today? The Ibori's and the Aondoka's how far have they gone? Unfortunately, some naive folks see this as a weakness and i do not blame them afterall most of them had to live through some parts of almost five decades of mostly brutal and vindictive military regimes, so their having a somewhat twisted view of what Power, freedom and democracy Should mean to a leader is understandable. Gej is not only good natured but also understands what the country needs to put it back on its strongest foot - all her best hands on deck regardless of personal views, affiliations and perceptions along with strong reinforcing institutions. Unfortunately, i cant say same for any of his opponents. |

@Mukina em, while u're at it could you also please look into my case? Its been 3 days now and i'm yet to regain my privileges for 'Disrespecting an Mod' (yeah, no kiddin). Even those that committed online genocide seem to have been unbanned sooner. |
