Muhammad Buhari is a retired Major General, so what? The Punch editor should just be careful not to take this personal.

Major General Buhari's regime is something else. Nigerians should resist this despotic leader.

This uneducated and vulgar rubbish is from a so called major news outlet?

When you get into the gutter in this manner, you do so with your reputation and credibility because you are no longer a trustworthy, neutral and credible news outlet.

What a shame.

You missed it totally. Nobody said you should trust or distrust Sowore. You keep making this about Sowere and I wonder if you really understand what's on ground. Regardless of who it is, there'll always be reasons to judge the person. The FG wants you to concentrate on the person and those reasons so as to divert your attention from their impunity. If you fall for that, you'd surprised whose turn it'll be tomorrow. Just saying...

To you guys who employed all channels to overthrow Jonathan, I believe your lives and that of your relatives are better than before.
Now I believe that Mbaka, although called by God, is wicked. He supported a tyrant and spoke bad of Jonathan. He invited corrupt politicians to make monetary donations in his ministry. He's partly responsible for the problem of this country. He needs to apologize to Jonathan.

Goodluck Jonathan is responsible for Buhari coming to power. Instead of him to provide good governance he allowed free for all looting that almost bankrupted the country.
You're economical with the truth. Jonathan ran a transparent government that was pro-masses, even though few politicians stole. Things were much better then. He didn't gag the press or Nigerians. He obeyed the law. Things are worse now. Jonathan was rigged out by Tinubu and his Northern collaborators. Besides, most Yorubas, out of greed for Igbos, wanted General Buhari. Now, what's happening? You talked of free for all looting in Jonathan's government. It's worse today, but you don't want to accuse them because of fear. You don't even know what's good governance.

History will remember you right for being the first media outfit to stand up against this tyranny and call it by it's name.

I hope Sun, Vanguard, Thisday, Leadership, Premium Times, Channels, AIT, and all media outfit will follow suit.

But as regards Sowore, he is on his own. He's a big fool being punished by Karma. He worked against GEJ for Buhari. Let him enjoy the saviour he heralded.

Now, you would wanna question why I can't get past 2015, it's simple. GEJ ran a government of vision with short, medium and long term visions backed by measurable policies.

I never benefitted from his govt nor do I have anyone who did but Nigeria was moving in the right direction. All indices were pointing positive.

But Sowore chose to amplify little pitfalls and made look gigantic. Let him enjoy.

On another note however, I really wanna understand the God or whatever GEJ is serving...

Dude moved from lecturing to Deputy Governor.

Something happened to the Governor, he became Governor.

Something happened to the president and he became president.

I don't know you but from your expression which clearly indicates your level of intelligence, If you come from a minority tribe like Jonathan in our current state of democracy, then you are likely to perform very far below him.

Nigeria targets independent newspapers

By Peter Nkanga/CPJ West Africa Representative on June 12, 2014 5:07 PM ET

Nigerian authorities have been waging widespread attacks on nearly a dozen independent newspapers under the cover of fighting terrorism. By last weekend, no fewer than 10 newspapers had their operations nationwide disrupted, leading to the loss of hundreds of thousands of newspaper sales.

Federal troops across Nigeria seized and destroyed newspaper deliveries at airports, commandeered newspaper vehicles along highways, seized control of distribution points in several cities, and confiscated newspapers from vendors. They also harassed and assaulted newspaper staff and took money from at least one.

Nigerian army raids newspaper depots

7 June 2014

The Nigerian army has carried out raids on distribution centres handling several of leading national newspapers.

The newspapers said their delivery vans had been searched and vendors questioned across the country, and copies of the papers destroyed.

The move has been condemned as censorship by the newspapers and international media groups.

What about failed electoral promises, is that not worse than hate speech! gen! gen! gen! tik tok! tik tok! We are gradually moving towards the good old days when men dared and confronted the military without any fear. Another circle of confrontation from the press is about to begin, it's not going to be an easy journey for this government!

They better leave symbolic and meaningless gestures alone.

Punch has in the past five years gotten hundreds of millions in ad revenue from the APC. Would they stop taking APC ads?

If the head is good other parts will follow suit, they are just copying the man at the top, simple truth. Let Nigeria get an upright detribalised and no nonsense leader at the top and watch if the house of assembly, governors, local government chairman and councillors will not behave, "LIKE
BEGETS LIKE"
anonimi:

Did you behave as a world class citizen?
Did your local government chairman and councillors perform like they do in world class places?
What of your state governors and assembly men?
Not forgetting the senators and representatives?
Can you get what you did not give?
Keep wailing and whining instead of getting your hands dirty for the work of nation/community building.
