swaystunna: so what you are saying is that one affividavit should cover the whole family tree relationship and does dat also imply that i will have to include my father and brothers in my visa application?? page 24 of the visa application said somefin like members of your family unit are your partner and any dependent children of you or your partner who are unmarried, not in defacto relationship and who have not turned 18 years of age. what does this mean?? |
Re: General Australian Visa Enquiries by Americanvisa: 12:21pm On Oct 05, 2013 |
^^^^^ That is number 24 not page, Note that, any dependent that you included in that section, will increase your financial requirements for living expenses whether they are going with you or not. |
Re: General Australian Visa Enquiries by Americanvisa: 12:26pm On Oct 05, 2013 |
kmontee: The meaning is that you can include any of your family member in case you are married with children less than 18 years so that they will be eligible to join you any time of your choice without much problem |
Re: General Australian Visa Enquiries by lawland: 12:56pm On Oct 05, 2013 |
Americanvisa: ^^^^^ That is number 24 not page, Note that, any dependent that you included in that section, will increase your financial requirements for living expenses whether they are going with you or not. This is correct... When they talk about family ties or your family, they mean your own personal family ie your partner and dependent children below 18. They don't mean your father and brothers or sisters, those they refer as relatives. |

[quote author=Americanvisa] The meaning is that you can include any of your family member in case you are married with children less than 18 years so that they will be eligible to join you any time of your choice without much problem[/quoti Inotherwords those that are stil single don't need to worry abt includin any one else in there application as family ties. |

kmontee: thanks to all for clearing my views and misunderstanding, now i know i shouldnt touch that number but concerning family ties to return home, what exactly should i include in my application.I have said this time without number, there must not be an evidence of incentives to return home for Nigerians, your CO can determine this from the tone of your application, to set this tone, you have to 1. Make sure your sponsor indicate you are coming back. 2. Make sure you talk about the kind of job you wish to pursue in your home country when you finish your course in your POP. 3. Make sure to talk about how important the course is to your career and to your home country. 4. Be sure to give TANGIBLE reason(s) for choosing to undertake the course in Australia rather than your home country (convince them that you are not using the avenue to run away from your home country). 5. When choosing your departure date, chose 3 weeks or a month after your course ends... Its not as if you are leaving on that date but it will be seen as if you are desperate to return home. Note: this won't affect your visa duration, your visa duration mostly end same date as your OSHC. Those are just my thoughts, I stand to be corrected. I will write more if I remember. |

This is another case officers decision for refusal... I note that the applicant completed high school in May 2000. The applicant has not provided evidence that they have made a thorough investigation of their study options in Pakistan which raises serious concerns regarding their motivation to study in Australia. I place weight on the fact that the applicant has been employed since January 2000. The applicant has not clearly demonstrated the benefit that undertaking the proposed courses in Australia would provide to their career prospects. I cannot be satisfied that the applicant has demonstrated that the proposed study in Australia would be of a greater benefit than the work experience and qualifications the applicant already holds. The applicant provided an employer reference from ( it's my bank name ) which states that they believe they will be able to accommodate the applicant in a more challenging and fulfilling role on completion of his studies. Given the unguaranteed nature of the job offer, I am not persuaded that the applicant has a position to return to upon completion of their studies. I give no weight to the claims of future employment upon their return home. I have given regard to the applicant’s immigration history as per 573.223(1)(a)(ii). As the applicant had no immigration history to consider that may be beneficial or adverse to their application, this aspect was not relevant to my assessment. Clause 573.223 applies to applicants who are minors i.e. under 18 years of age. As the applicant is over 18 years of age, this factor was not relevant to my assessment. I have given regard to whether there is any other relevant matter that is relevant to the assessment of the applicant’s genuine intention to temporarily stay in Australia and find that no other matter is relevant to their assessment. I have considered all the information provided with the visa application. However, given the applicant’s personal circumstances and the comparatively greater economic opportunities in Australia, I cannot be satisfied that the applicant intends a genuine temporary stay in Australia. |
