Nwokenna: Hi I just want to reply your thread. 1st of all your quest to study the above named course are nice but I'll like you to know a few things. I also stand to be corrected by my Aussie friends especially those in the Health sector. MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, CT scan etc name all the medical imaging fields are technically sub-sepcialty under the Umbrella name Radiography or Medical Imaging Science or Radiologic Technologist depending on the part of the world you reside all basically carry out the same function. I'm a Nigerian Trained Radiographer as so is my wife also. We have done our IELTS, Course Assessment by our Australian Body and I'm also an accreditated medical Radiographer by Australian standards after assessment. I was recently invited to apply for my PR which I did a couple of Moments ago. My advise is you go for Radiography as a course by the time you are half way you can decide the sub-specialty that suits you. All the best

Good one!Is it one application for both of you? PR path is the sweetest.

It has something to do with different individuals. My concerns were on listening, to the extent my brother asked if I'm hard-hearing,thank God I did okay.I need 6.0 and it's just for visa sake and I can't wait to see my results.

Yes o. Your result shall be good. IJN. Actually with humility, I don't seems to have problem hearing any english accent cos I love it. The war na to speak d accent myself but fluent with our naija english (not pidgin o. LMAO). But no matter how fast...God has been faithful. I can even write the fastest raps..lol

@all please any answers to my prev. questions as in sponsor level. Thanks

the exam is not judged based on one's accent, the major thing is to hit the pints

The best accent I love is Amaerica's but I won't be heading there for now. Please don't try to force a foreign accent that day, they want your cohesion, tenses and parts of speech and idioms too that day.Anything clear with some good vocabulary.

Anybody can act as your sponsor, you could just link the person to your course with a letter of explanation to that effect and a sworn affidavit of support.

Lol @ accent, let me tell a story. I have been accused of having two different accents. English and Australian shocked These people need some ear drops to clear their ears. I argued with one physiotherapist for hours one day at work that I was not born in England and I am not English. For where....

A nurse once told me that I say "NOT-AT-ALL" like "not-a-all". You kidding me? I talk very fast that's why I miss out the T in the "at"

My parents complained about my accent being too strong but then told me mine was icing on the cake compared to my kids, cos they can never understand those ones at all grin grin It's funny hearing my parents ask them to repeat themselves and my kids getting frustrated cos they've said the same thing 50 times over, sometimes they just take a deep breath and not continue grin

My best accent..........Is Irish. I am beginning to love canadian though.

Hello Aunty jenny,
I've been waiting to see a post from you...i have but a knotty issue here ma,
1. is it possible to grant me visa for my 6 months course in Aged Care/community service work/cert iv in youth work (ANY OF THE 3 i haven't applied though)
2. is it possible for me to quickly switch to another course after the 6 months course to prolong my stay as a view towards the PR which i have read in prev posts.
3. i am planning to pay for my tuition in full from here. can i work to raise money for the other course to prolong my stay.
4. if i wasn't able to use my sponsors acct to pay tuition will that hinder my chances?

I know you are always busy ma but i will appreciate a thorough explanation ma. thanking you in adv.

Don't you think that route of extending stay via going from certificate (6 months) to Diploma (12 months) to Advanced Diploma (2 years) going to cost you money? because that is the you can apply for a PR, except you are being sponsored by a company after you might have done a Certificate + Diploma programs.

thanks what do you suggest? yes the money is going to be a big problem, i have just been thinking. do u feel i apply for diplomas straight? most courses are 1 or 1.5 yrs and thats not up to 2 year course. moreover the cost are so bogus. certs tuition are cheap i dont just know im clouded here sincerely.
please people help. what do i do? still working towards feb 2014.

there are a lot of cheap VET colleges in Australia where you can pay $6,000 and $8,500 tuition per session and would require you to pay between $1,900 and $4,200 tuition deposit for your eCOE. For you not to have issues with your visa being granted or avoid No Further Stay visa condition all because of our assesment level in Nigeria (Assesment level 3 i.e high risk level or high tendency of running away), why not simplify thimgs for yourself and go for a 1.5 yrs or 2yrs diploma course which also put you in a better condition for PR after 2yrs of study if a potential employer is wiling to sponsor you. Your visa will automatically allow you to work part time for only 20hrs per week during term times and unlimited hours during holidays but don't go solely to australia thinking you will work to pay your tuition except you want to augument it because to get a part time job is not easy except for some few success stories and most importantly, it will affect your performance or attendance accademically and once that hapens, you will be reported to immigration immidiately. I wish you all the best.

my people let me ask this question, since 'nasilas' have cleared the air that he applied with company account even though he was going for masters program, but in my case am considering Tafe 1.5 years advanced diploma and wish to use company account and personal account as well.Note that my wife is the primary applicant and she will include me as well.Do you people think that we stand a better chance to get the visa.I don't wish to spend the visa application money without nothing.

You are good to go brother. Though when I was doing the schools in Australia then and I been referred to an agent, they, the agents, told me that I shouldn't use company account but a personal one, and I might agree a little with that 'cos they might be thinking business-wise at the embassy. Since you are planning to augment your own account with a company one, then go for it. It will be a success.

Maybe you do it this way; try and look for a diploma program that will take more than a year and then register for its certificate course program so that you can graduate to a diploma program after you are done. That way, you get money saved a little, and also get your pathway to PR cleared for you.
If you can't find such, then maybe you go for an advanced diploma, but will come at a high fee again (try so many colleges, as you may find cheaper ones).

I read something on the Australian immigration website concerning English language requirements for those that wants to apply for their student visa. If you understand English language very well, try and shed more light focusing MAJORLY on IELTS GENERAL and ACCADEMIC test according to what the immigration office meant by that information. Thanks and here is the link below.

Write to the school and ask if you can defer the admission. Only the school can answer this one as some courses can be deferred whilst others cant. Write to flinders

To the best of my knowledge I think that's where the work starts after which you can apply. You can also test your chances but going to immigration website www.immi.gov.au apply for an EOI (Expression of Interest) that a mock evaluation on your chances. @ d end you will see your scores and how well you fared on any of the available slot.
