Katsumoto: Education appears not to be a priority for Nigerian leaders.

That is the fact. All the governors need to do more on education. They spend more money or roads and bridges than education. Schools are in bad shapes in every parts of Nigeria. Having said that, there are better schools in Lagos, Akwa Ibom, and River States than any other states in Nigeria. PDP Governors have been in charge for more than 12 years out of 14 years since we got back to democratic governemt. PDP Governors are the culprits. They have nothing to show for trillions of naira they got.

Hypoctie! Tell us your state and let me show you what PDP is giving you as dividends of democracy. Your senses should tell you that dilapidated schools are in every corners of Nigeria.
But you did not tell Eko ile that dilapidated schools are in every corner of Nigeria when he was showing us the Enugu school. You are guys are too funny.

Well its wickedness to any Gov that have such school in his state. I mean how much will it cost to build those school buildings in Rivers state? Our politicians are wicked but the citizens are foolish.

Of course Eko Ile is doing it. That does not make Eko Ile right or wrong. That does not change the fact that dilapidated schools are everywhere in Nigeria.

Why didn't you condemn his antics then? Typical of Nigerians, you lot don't speak out when someone else is being maltreated until it comes to you;

"First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out--
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out--
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out--
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me--and there was no one left to speak for me"- Martin Niemöller (1892-1984)

Garri the 1st: This thread shows very clearly why PDP must not be voted for in the South-West. During the 8 years of PDP rule, nothing was done in the area of Education. God bless Tinubu and the ACN for removing the killer-party from the South-West.

With the ACN in power, people can confirm that things are improving in the South West. However, the rot created by the PDP will need time to clean up and the ACN is equal to the task.

God bless you OP for reminding the SW people why the did the right thing by sending PDP out of the region..

cool

The OP basically agreed with the people of SW for getting rid of the PDP...

This is the sorry mess PDP blessed the people of Ogun state with. Luckily, Amosun is rehabilitating them..

The best schools in Lagos are either Federal government schools or private schools while the best schools in Akwa Ibom and Rivers are state government schools. FACT.

The bold part of your statement above clearly shows that you are either a teenager or your brain cells are fast degenerating. PDP never governed any south west state for 8 years. They were only in office from 2003-2007. Get your facts right before posting.

Quite ironically, Gbenga Daniel was governor of Ogun state from 2003 - 2011. I am sure that is 8 years.

Go through what was posted last week and read my comments. I have had problem with Eko Ile before. That does not stop the fact that he show the hypocrisy of you Igbo guys. Because we care about the South west going by recent data which shows they have been lagging behind and even needing lower cut off marks than their South East neighbours to gain admission to schools.

We want the best for them so their cut offs don't eventually drop to 2 like Yobe's.

The same thing with me. I don't live in Nigeria. I reside in North Carolina, USA. I don't care about party or whatever. All I care about is good governance and PDP has failed after 14 years in power. I consider it foolish to blame any Governor in the Southwest on failure of PDP Governors in the last 14 years. What did Aloa Akala, Oyinlola, Gbengan Daniel do when they were there? Cut off mark my foot! Recent average cut-off mark in South-west is 128, and 131 in South-east. It has been rotating from southeast to southwest for decades. Does that stop the fact that kids from Lagos, Ondo, Ogun and Oyo always dominate common entrance results since 1989?

I now understand where your problem emanates from. Your interest in the Nigerian ppolitical terrain recently. For your information, PDP governors were in power in the South West for only the 4 year period between 2003 - 2007. AD (present day ACN) was in power from 1999-2003 and came back as ACN in 2007 till date except in Lagos where they have never been out of office.

So, blaming 14 years of failure on 4 years of PDP leadership is at best laughable.
