Joe980: Not compulsory...your justification would be the correlation between undergraduate course and your intending graduate program.

Thought as much...just needed the clarification.
Thanks!

applying for civil engineering sir. not much requirement, have a. 2.1 and I think there isnt any preliminary form for my dept at MUN. just contact those you wanna use as referee and make sure they mail the school the appraisal letter. also make sure you send them your transcript through email. apply online and pay lobatan

wow! so MUN accepts transcripts via email...well that just makes the whole application process cheaper, too bad not many schools in canny do this though

Bro what invoice did you send, because i am using a co sponsor who has a business and i felt really silly scanning copies of her hand written sales invoice.
I was going to scan copies of her bill of laden for importation but she uses another company name different from hers for importation.
I am kind of confused.
I have the CAC registration,Statement of Account i just wish a had something to explain the nature of her business if relevant.
Bro if u cant scan all her sales invoice, why dont you rather gather all the documents you need together with the invoice and submit through paper route? Just saying anyway... The choice is yours wink

Congrats bro!
My contribution towards your current situation is as simple only if you would comply to this advice,it has happened to a friend of mine who applied to UK. Since you have deferred your admission to the next fall and now you already have your trav Visa. Just inform your school about it that you have been granted a visa and you really need to begin the programme this fall and probably inform them you wanna pay your tuition to show more seriousness about it.i am very sure they would revise the decision to begin your programme this fall. Don't travel if the school has not responded to your request otherwise it might lead to deportation at the port of entry. Good luck bro!

Thanks for the piece of advice bro!
The school already issued another acceptance letter stating I'm to start nxt fall. Moreso, the program is a 9month program and I've already missed almost class now.I just don't think I can make it this fall. Won't mind more advice tho....

Congrats on ur TRV and sorry for the delay in resumption.
@ d bolded : How many years TRV were you given?? If tis 2 years, you'll have a longer expiry date for entry into Canada and you don't have much to worry about but if tis a 1 year TRV, and you don't enter Maple land before it expires, you might run into difficulties(presenting fresh docx and all)...
My advice: if the former, then relax but if the latter, apply to another school (with the same duration of program) for a winter start date and come over immediately to commence ur studies by january.
All the best...

Or do i just make an official arrangement for accommodation?
Lastly, a landed property that is gained by inheritance counts but it is certified by Law Court. It does not have a survey plan.

If her side is close to your school then you need not to trouble yourself.

Good day house.

Pls educate me:
After completing my online application, I received a confirmation mail in my cic account that my application was successful and for me to come for biometrics, but! I didn't receive an alert via my personal yahoo email that I registered with my cic account. Is that how its meant to be? ? ? ?
I thought an applicant was to receive alerts via his personal mail whenever there is a correspondent from d embassy on his cic account. ? ?

Kepner:

Hi

About this 'related work experience to your studies' thing -how are fresh graduates to justify that part of the SOP?? Is it like a compulsory thing to have work experience?

@kepner if you are a fresh graduate then state it in your SOP, and in the visa form. You can tell in you sop that you have just finished and you do not want to waste time. Pls do not lie on your sop ... That is why I said your document is just the backup for your sop..Sop is what the visa read most to see how intelligent you are and if they find out you are not so much convincing and serious then you are on your own.

Mcjimmy: 2.If you are yet to submit your documents just make sure you submit the document required by the Canadian embassy. I believe for you to get a visa you must have gotten your
Admission letter: which b4 you are being given you must have forwarded your certificate, transcript, Birthcertificate, WAECresult +Scratchcard, which the school applied to must have made verifications before accepting you.
3. For visa I will like to tell everyone that SOP which means STATEMENT OF PURPOSE carries almost the same percentage of attention with Your sponsors documents. Here is it. For you to win the Vo's mind or who ever is assessing the documents, you must specify who you are? according to the documents you have submitted, what you do and what you like doing? Why you have chosen Canada as a place to study, NOTE there must be a sign of sincerity and convincing statement in what you write in you SOP because after reading it , it,s what will decide the Vo's judgement even if you don't have strongSOA. Let them know that you just want to come and study to gain more international knowledge as a leverage in getting a better job in your country. Let them know you are not going to be a problem at all and you can survive in the country, even you can go as long as stating how productive you are and how their country can benefit from your productivity?
They also want to know if you have a work experience in the proposed course of study as well.

These things are what they want to see and not how rich you or your sponsors are. Your intelligence and skill is needed not your financial flamboyance. My brother and my sister got visa with a statements of account of just 2million naira and they both got their visa within a month and few days. We are not as rich as Dangote but they wrote an SOP that is superb. And they now told me that that is what helped them that Canada need serious minded people and skilled productive as well.

Can you pls help with a copy of the SOP to serve as guideline for me in typing mine.
I plan to submit my app on friday.
Thanks in anticipation

You really have no idea what google can do for you, alot of factors could influence the tuition of a school, provincial location, program type (PG,UG etc), and all worth not, try searching for Canadian cheap tuition schools via google, follow the school website am pretty sure you would get something substantial. Moreover you can check schs lik university of Brandon, University of Saskatchewan, Memorial University etc etc Good luck.
