I don't think it is logical you reply with harsh tones to comments made particularly on a faceless forum.

You can only get UCI if you have record with Canny. If you are applying for the first time leave it blank.

I am honestly surprised because the people on this thread have the "helping out" attitude.
Sorry about that. I hope it is approved and it goes on fine.

Cheers!

Hi

About this 'related work experience to your studies' thing -how are fresh graduates to justify that part of the SOP?? Is it like a compulsory thing to have work experience?

Not everyone needs work experience. Remember, our stories differ just as our path in life.

I read his response to you which was uncalled for and was glad you did not reply as that would have led to more arguments. However, try as much as you can to be mild in your response as many are asking questions to understand why you chose to use an agent when you actually could use the money for a shopping spree.

pchax: Hello,

My Dad's SOA is from a fixed deposit account. He deposited 12M there some time back but going through the SOA, it states an opening balance of 50K and closing of 300K. Please bankers in the house, what is wrong and how can this be explained? My dad also got a letter from the bank that states he has 12M in a fixed deposit and it shows the interest rate, the date it was put in and the date it would mature. Can this SOA still be used in combination with the letter?

Yes and Yes, u should definately submit both both bank statements cus without the initial SOA u wouldnt have a fixed. I hope this helps.

MrArams:

Ma'am, did ur siblings both use a single SOA of 2m or SOA of 2m each? what level of program did they go for and what other docs was submitted to boost their chances apart from the SOP. One can't be too sure if it was only the SOP that did d job.

SoA of 2million each and it's a salary account that shows cash flows of 500k every month. Visa officers need to see how cash enters because some accounts can show 10million and after checking they u will find out that the ten million just got in three month before the submission. If you want to use an account make sure the account is an account the money enters regularly at lease every month with the minimum balance of 200k. You can use SOA of 2million with no wahala.

jaylinaa: Hi guys,

Good job on the forum.

Please I have a few questions and I hope someone will be kind enough to answer:

1.1 Do I need to pay my fees before applying? Does it boost my application in any way?

1.2 Is middle of October too late to apply for January entry?

1.3 Which is the fastest route; Online or Paper?

And if it's not too much to ask, can someone with a TRV please give me a personal e-mail so I can contact him/her?

Thanks and God bless!

1.1) it is not compulsory to pay tuition before submission. And for me, i bliv paying tuition upfront can help ones App cus it shows commitment and seriousness of ones sponsor

1.2) with the way things are currently going i wouldnt bet on mid October, it is ok but a risk. My Advice, if ur docs are ready pls apply tomorrow.

1.3) currently, i want to bliv both have the same processing time.

Feel free to ask any questions here i am certain that u will get useful info for the success of ur TRV approval....

The only thing is if your dad states it on tha affidavit of support that the 12m in the fixed. Deposit is meant for your schooling that is the only way the Vo can be conviced but if it's not stated on AOS then go tell your dad to make it real on his SOA sharp sharp.

Hello Fellow Study Visa Applicants,

I have been noticing a couple of post talking about what to write in the SOP. I was about starting a draft on my SOP and I was looking for resources and samples when I stumbled on this. Although is from the Canadian High Commission to Kenya but I guess the tips on SOP there can guide us when writing our own.

I reproduced the tips below for ease of accessibility and data costs:

Study plan: Please submit a one page study plan which answers the following questions and includes any other information relevant to the processing of your application:

❖Why do you wish to study in Canada in the program for which you have been accepted?
❖What is your overall educational goal?
❖Why are you not pursuing a similar program in your country of residence?
❖What research have you done into studies in your country of residence/citizenship?
❖How will this program enhance your employment opportunities in your country of residence/citizenship?
❖What ties do you have to your country of residence/citizenship? Note: The visa officer may request additional documents or a personal interview.
❖If it has been more than 2 years since you have left full time education, please provide your C.V. (resumé)
❖In the case of a minor applicant, what are your reasons for studying in Canada? What is your parents’/guardians’ immigration status in their current country of residence?

Cheers!

Pls, can u elaborate, r u saying fixed deposit aint good enof? If yes is ur answer then u r very wrong. All his sponsor needs to do is to write a letter that states that the money in the fixed deposit is for the applicant. 'kapish...
I am a living testimony....

@@Mcjimmy i will not support that or believe what you just say that 2m plus SOA is enough.let do some little mathematics if your tuition fees is14,000,and accommodation for 1y pgd programme 500dollars per a month +books, health then tell me how 2m will be ok for.pleas encourage applicant to look for a sponsor with good SOP.2m is no were enough .piple should consider first Good SOA then SOP

My dear,I don't think I will be so foolish to submit Oluwole docs with the extreme scrutiny of the Canadian embassy. "Boosted means SOA has improved, added financial documents&assests added..
