agaugust: Assuming you can get a lock and all 8 fire all 8 will be shot down. 32 umkonto per vallour plus the 76mm and then the 35mm. And a advance fire contol sytem. Now what will ardu use. Outdated 40mm and SAMs that sa had and removed from serves long ago due to the fact they obsolet. This is not persnail opion it is fact. |

andrewza: guy there are two types of tactical units in US. FBI tactical team and police S.W.A.T. i don't know about the FBI training but i know all US state police S.W.A.T have the same training. i can bring another list of top 20 and SA is still missing. their achievements that your comrade posted here shows too many hostage casualties and injuries which only portrays not more than 10-20% success rate. meanwhile NPF SAS and Anti Terror units have better success rates at counter terrorism and hostage rescue without casualties or injuries but we don't make noise about it. Truth is that your special task force is only known and recognized by south africans. just like ours is known to us alone. All have there own tatical unit and all have difrent level of training. There is a basic minuimen level but the training is not standised. And a qustion stands. What was the critare used, who made the list(what was there qulifacastions) and what teams were revied. |

agaugust: Shows how much research you did. Frigates can defend against that attack firing 8 Umkhonto missiles simultaneously to hit incoming missiles. 8 missiles can be fired at once you r*tard. With 32 ready to fire at any given time. And show us proof that NNS Aradu has the capability to fire 8 Otomat missiles simultaneously you fraud. Only in your dream fantasy land does it have that capability. Show us when last the Nigeria navy went out to sea to fire a single missile at a target in an exercise. Just one sinlge missile. Now your delusional brain thinks you have the ability to somehow perform anti ship warfare. How many of your seamen have ever seen a missile being fired from deck? Almost none. Now all of a sudden in 2014 they're going to become experts at firing at targets? Keep dreaming. ![]() |

2smooth2shout:Here's the thing if your country got into war with another country like SA. It is predictable that the UN will slap both countries with sanctions or an arms embargo. So increasing personnel won't help, unless your countries has the capability to produce quality weapons. But I don't think a country like Nigeria is even capable of producing quality armoured fighting vehicles. |

The british do not train nigerian forces. Nigerian special forces are trained by US navy seal teams. While the army special forces team trains with the united states marine special forces team or the army green berets. I pasted images of nigerian army special forces in fort bragg. You see that rescue mission was bungled by the british. Nigerian army special forces have carried numerous rescue mission and all of them up until that time(british and italian) have been successful. To be honest, the mission was bound to fail from the onset. When nigerian DSS special forces( spec opps team) tracked down and killed the leader(abu mohammed) of the break away faction of boko-haram in niger state, north central nigeria(the man responsible for the kidnapping), one of their member who escaped the strike, immediately put a call across to the captors(in sokoto state, north west nigeria) of the brit and Italian. There was absolutely not time to salvage the mission. The british SAS were only called in to save face, as the hostages had already been executed even before the mission began. |

Typo error. am surprised you couldn't find any failed rescue mission by NPF SARS and had to pull up a british led one. Mind you, that mission failed cos it was a joint operation that the British begged to be involved in. And it failed because of them. Here's a more appropriate achievement from our SARS unit http://beegeagle./2013/05/13/nigeria-police-kill-7-kidnappers-rescue-lebanese-national-other-hostages/ http://newsbreaknigeria.com/news/KIDNAPPING%3A+One+killed+as+wife+of+Ebonyi+Deputy+Leader+is+rescued http://www.gulf-times.com/mobile//africa/243/details/353950/nigerian-hostages-rescued-by-troops http://mobile.punchng.com/output.php?link=http://www.punchng.com/news/gunmen-kidnap-supreme-court-justices-wife-daughter/ http://beegeagle./2013/07/15/anti-kidnapping-squad-of-the-special-task-force-rescue-8-hostages-arrest-3-suspects/ if i keep posting it'll take a whole page. That's what you call achievements not when almost all hostages are shot at or killed like you posted about your task force. My dear the world is beyond just posing for photos. It's now about what you do with those weapons you pose with. Untill i see recent successful zero hostage casualties or injuries of your special task force, they are just another model agency and a joke like SANDF. |

andrewza: Andrew what that fool @Aguagust aka military bafoon don't even know and fail to raise is that that Otomat relic needs Helicopter guidance which makes it even more vulnerable to SAM's. How someone would use a 1970's missile in a standoff in 2013 is beyond me. This once again proofs that @aguagust is fool. |

agaugust:You know I hate talking about stuff from the future. But here: look your stealth war ships won't have the "sea lift capability",and sending them down to SA will require another 1 or even more supply ships. On the "smuggling issue" that would be difficult, weapons would have to come through Mozambique the mountainous area between SA and Mozambique would make it difficult to smuggle heavy systems. |

From an official source, not from what illiterate Nigerians think they saw or thought they saw. Also post the power and engine capability of those rockets. If you can't do that then you have no proof that the Nigerian made rockets are better than rockets made by amateurs in their spare time on the weekends. How many kilo-Newtons of thrust does the rocket in this picture have? |

@2smooth2shout Read attached links as evidence atleast you wont sound like an ignorant fool. All the links indicates success of Special Task force not....these bumble bees you called Special Force. Good thinking people with good analysis skills can see through reading on these thread that Nigeria has been blowing hot air and whenever losses swould resort to supporting Egypt or Algeria and when lossing there again would switch to favouring United States and when loosing there again resort to vulgar language. HOWEVER I DO STATE THAT SOUTH AFRICA IS ATLEAST 50 YEARS AHEAD OF NIGERIA......PROVE ME WRONG BYB FACTS NOT INSULTS AND SOME MISLEADING NATIONALIST RHETORIC WITHOUT AN FACTUAL BASE. ON UNVEALING NIGERIA FIRST UAV PLANE. A CERTAIN NIGERIAN GENERAL CLAIMED THAT IT IS THE FIRST IN AFRICA....HAHAAHAHHAHAHH AND IF HE HAD READ OR LOOK ON THIS THREAD HE COULD HAVE REALISED THAT SOUTH AFRICA PRODUCED ITS FIRST UAV IN 1983 |

As the Federal Government intensifies its effort to curb the Boko Haram insurgency, the Nigerian Airforce says it has dveloped an unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) for surveillance and intelligence gathering in crisis prone parts of the country. Speaking at a news conference in preparation for the 42nd graduation ceremony of the Nigerian Airforce Institute of Technology (NAFIT), Kaduna, Commandant of the institution, John Oshoniyi said the new device would greatly enhance the success of security agents in the fight against insurgency. Oshoniyi also disclosed that the institute has invented a robot capable of detecting and detonating bombs from a distance, adding that the equipment would reduce risks posed to bomb squads personnel as they try to carry out their duties. The commandant stated that the UAV produced by the institution is the first in Africa, stressing that it was a product of the transformation agenda of the Goodluck Jonathan’s administration in attaining higher pedestal in military aviation and defence-related technology. http://www.google.co.za/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=NIGERIA%20CLAIM%20TO%20PRODUCE%20ITS%20FIRST%20UAV%20IN%20AFRICA&source=web&cd=3&cad=rja&ved=0CDMQFjAC&url=http%3A%2F%2Fafricansearchlight.com%2Fnigerian-airforce-develops-unmanned-drone-to-target-boko-haram%2F&ei=Ceb4UbSLE8KZhQf84YHQBA&usg=AFQjCNG9RSz7JcjVN8VIBt9ACfWOOgaptw |
