Evil Brain:Existing Laws against Faggotts and Perverts in Nigeria Chapter 42, section 214 of Nigeria's criminal code penalizes consensual faggotry between adults with fourteen years' imprisonment. Furthermore, Sharia penal codes, as introduced in northern Nigeria since 1999, continues to criminalize acts of faggotry. |

i can see that when JESUS spared the woman caught in the act of adultery that makes JESUS himself an Adulterer? My point is the same as JESUS until u prove urself so YOU are not fit or Qualified to Carry out the sentence against homosexuality as written in the bible(in line with christian directive) cos u are with sin u are not without sin A breakage of any of the law amounts to a breakage of all the LAW |

chinedumo: Good question. I would just quote the scriptures with a minimum of paraphrasing. 1 Corinthians 13:12 For now we see in a mirror obscurely but at that time face to face you will know and also be fully known thyself . |

sley4life: You have to laugh at people who make statements like this. Typical poster who drops in, makes a ridiculous knee-jerk statement of hatred and picks race, never to defend his nonsense. This is why we need 'rep' ratings on Nairaland. Let my daughter be gay, and let your son be a criminal. See whose parents cry more in the end. As for the law, it is only slightly more relevant than all these Old Testament quotes. Both of them contain things that should be considered carefully, may be out of date, and are not necessarily right. As for bringing Sharia law into di matta, what's the matter with you guys? Sagamental: Either the priesthood is increasing, or the RC Church is having problems recruiting. It can't be both. Quit contradicting yourself, just so you can fool yourself you said something. |

Re: Gay Pastor Escapes Mob Attack In Lagos by bawomolo(m): 7:11pm On Sep 24, 2010 |
Having sexual intercourse with a 17 year old, might be against the law but is not termed as real paedophilia even by the worst psychologist. the age of consent in nigeria is 13 i believe. Nigeria does have sodomy laws which can dusted up (hardly ever implemented by our worthless police and judiciary system) |

Evil Brain: Ok, I read your "No law against homosexuality" reply, I'm glad Tensor777 sorted that one for you before I got back. To the despoil issue, you essentially agreed with my point if the boy thought God was going to kill him if he didn't cooperate, then you might have a point. Maybe that was what he thought, -Never underestimate the reverence Nigerians have for Religion and superstition, it is mind Boggling o!! So, despoil can be argued, the jury is still out on that one sha. |

The description of the man "Gay Pastor" is enough to create a lynch mob and some comments on this tread point to that lynch mob mentality. hopefully the man will have his day in court & full facts of the case will be revealed. We preach equal & fair justice for all in Nigeria, yet some believe this guy should be killed instantly. Yes, he may have committed a heinous crime but it's unproven; no evidence yet he committed a crime. Too much moral outrage, tone it down people BTW, some come out to display there "homphobic" traits yet in their place of work (in London, New York etc) they will never speak agianst homosexuality. Cowards! people no dey take daily bread play |

bawomolo: Do you know how many insane people are on Earth? Why do you think I frequently have the opportunity to call people morons on NL? And remember, NL is on the net, that implies a large percentage of visitors are the "supposedly" learned and enlightened, yet a lot are morons. In Chechyna, young guys go out and kidnap any girl (old enough though) they fancy, take her to their family home and lock her there. This is in the city not only rural areas o. Then after doing this, they contact her parents and ask to marry her. An imam comes to negotiate between the families, according to (wait for it) . . . . . . . . . . . . "culture", since she is kidnapped the parents have very limited option, but to agree and marry her off to the kidnapper. It rarely ever does not result in the marriage. She has to accept this, even if the guy is not what she wants and sometimes they ra.pe her if she is too reluctant (most times they do not) after the kidnap to want a marriage, which further makes the parent have no other option but to allow the marriage since she is dishonoured. CULTURE, they called it. I wish I was from there and come and take my daughter, then have the audacity to send your family members to negotiate with me after despoiling her (I don't even care if you did not). It will not be culture, it will be puncture when I start using bullets to puncture your entire family. Culture me bleeping arse! |

SILENCE!!!!!, after much delibration on the aformentioned issue and the inability of CHIENDUMO and other attorney to this debased gay to provide substantial evidence and reason why this bastard should not be convicted, the jury of this house has found Reverend sticky-pricky guilty and his sentence stand as follows. 1. hanging by the balls. 2.hanging by the balls, and 3. HANGING BY THE BALLS TILL AN APPOINTED MEDICAL PRACTITIONER DECLEARS HIS WEWE DEAD!! |
