Ayagayagayagayo hei, Ayagayagayagao Is this the return of good things? I want to believe so. I didn't watch the match. I should see the whole of it later. At about 1.20am, I checked comments, I saw Coogar wrote Chicha missed, Jones did something bad, and the general comments weren't encouraging. I checked facebook, Gerald had scored a penalty in the 13th minute. Against the first EPL club and we were losing, I felt it wasn't a good sign. I decided it wasn't wise to sacrifice my sleep. Ruddie and Coogar, two anti Rooney ran the show on the page. Thank God we won. Otherwise, the blame would have fallen solely on him as usual, particularly as he was the captain today. Good Gaal gave him 90mins. However, on a more serious note, Rooney should be our Arjen Robben. His ball control, first touch have all retuned fully, so what's the excuse not to play like Robben? But I still trust him. His ability to score from outside the box as against Roma is one thing standing him out in the EPL. I believe that will help him again in the EPL. Look at the way Coogar praised Young like he gave a Gareth Bale performance. Coogar hypes better than the sports press who he wants to hype, and he destroys those he doesn't favour. Next against Valencia at Old Trafford. |

We need a top central defender to play in the middle of the back 3. Someone that is very good at passing the ball out of defence. Dt way evans and blackett can share LCB while jones and smalling share RCB. also we need a central midfielder. Some of herrera's passes were suspect and is tackling needs some polish. |

I think we should chill on the optimism. Sure we've done well. but greater challenges lie ahead. The only positive in my view is that some players upped their game and as a result the squad has some confidence going into the season. Still think we should sign players in the back and maybe a decent CM. 1 Like |

n0m0705:It's only preseason. Let's see what the next few days offer in terms of the transfer activity. The main aim of preseason matches is to get the players into fitness and maybe in our case for the new boss to evaluate the players he has and integrate them into the system he plans, which have been achieved in my estimation. The trophy is just a bonus. Blackett will come good, but I still don't believe he's ready for the first team. I think he should be loaned out where he could get some valuable experience that will further boost his confidence. Last season was an anomaly. We are all unanimous that David Moyes was a huge mistake and didn't have the slightest idea as to how to lead a club as big as United. He is only a mid-table coach and cannot do more than he has to offer. Is it any wonder he managed to turn the league champions into 7th place finishers? I can understand your position, given the misery we have passed through, but I'm pretty sure van Gaal or any manager worth his salt won't be dancing in the streets of the US over winning the Chevrolet and Guiness Champions trophy. |

* Wayne Rooney won Player of he tournament. * I heard from some quarters that Nani was really poor and Chicharito was poor. Both recommended to ask for a leave for their own good. * Tournament low: We lost two players from starting X1 to injury. Although Welbeck will be a reserve striker. Valencia is a big loss considering he has been well trained for the RW role. Between Valencia and Welbeck, there is so much energy, work rate, speed and athleticism that will be missed. That aspect of their game complement the other lads. |
