I use a screen protector on my pb, it generally protects the screen from scratches and grazes. The protector does not affect the sensitivity of the screen.

you can only transfer files via bluetooth with a blackberry thats bridged with your playbook. And you need an app called files and folders to do that.

if you downloaded the version 2 from the specific link i gave for 9mm, you shouldnt have this problem. Its the version 1 that has an auto save bug.

Facebook chat doesn't work with bridge. Only works with wifi, has anyone noticed this also?
Re: Blackberry Playbook: Anyone? by efewhoa: 10:46pm On Jul 19, 2012
TCD: rename the 9mm from .zip to .bar. Do that with the file manager on your blackberry, not windows explorer.
can't find any ohter files on my filenmanager except from music, videos, pictures and documents. How do I then go about renaming it.
Re: Blackberry Playbook: Anyone? by TCD: 5:47am On Jul 20, 2012
I meant blackberry phone not tablet. Transfer the file to your phone then rename it with the bb file manager. If you want to be able to do same on your tablet, download and sideload the App called "files and folders".

Nothing wrong with used pb's as long as you're getting them from a reliable vendor who won't sell you melons. It's up to you to then find buyers and sell to them at very attractive rates. If your used pb and new one are almost same price, logically people will go for brand new ones instead.

Got a playbook 64 GB on Friday, great device! I must say , still has some draw backs

-cant connect to app world via bridge
-the browser is not very efficient in downloading large files.

-side loaded opera mobile on it but e wnt work !

- I activated it at night with my MTN fastlink & some virtual access point app for windows 7 , it took about 45 mins.

-it has no widgets like most android tabs have

-it doesn't connect to ur pc as a usb flash ( u need to install d BB desktop manager 1st)

-and lastly mine wnt post on nairaland (dnt know y , it gives some error) .

- I can't hold it 4 long , it is sort of heavy

- it has lovely hD games .

Does anybody know if there is a football manager for the playbook , thanks

Re: Blackberry Playbook: Anyone? by TCD: 5:22pm On Jul 25, 2012
Btw, anyone sideloading opera mini on playbook is wasting his time. The playbook stock browser seems adequate enough, downloads well, loads multiple pages, fast etc. Although I have about 6 other browser installed, the stock browser does okay for me. Just use the others for certain intricacies. To the fellows looking for opera, download Maxthon browser or dolphin browser HD, those are android sideloads. Maxthon is better than dolphin though

not sure why you're having that issue, if you have ruled out inadequate memory issues as the cause, then maybe you should download the latest version 4.1.2 as that has better bridge support.
