Travel / Re: Arik Makes Emergency Landing As Woman Delivers On-board by bolayei: 1:15pm On Sep 16, 2013
on point
CFCfan:

"Under the 1944 Convention on International Civil Aviation, articles 17–21, all aircraft have the nationality of the state in which they are registered, and may not have multiple nationalities. For births, the law of the aircraft's nationality is applicable, and for births that occur in flight while the aircraft is not within the territory of any state, it is the only applicable law. However, if the aircraft is in or flying over the territory of another state, that state may also have concurrent jurisdiction, and the locus in quo principle may apply to the exact position of the aircraft when the birth occurred"

from that wiki paragraph, one can conclude that the baby is a Nigerian (if place of birth was indeed the Mediterranean Sea). However, as Arik uses a Portuguese registered aircraft on its London flights, the child may be a Portuguese citizen (still assuming place of birth was over the Mediterranean Sea)

Education / Re: Should Universities Regulate The Dressing Of Students? by bolayei: 3:26pm On Sep 09, 2013
what minors put on should be regulated not adults....as for me i would rather send my child abroad to study than pay some ridiculous amount of money to send my pikin go one yeye private university for inside one village. University apart from acada involve activities e.g parties, clubs, concerts, fashion show, beauty pageant and even confra e.t.c. University is meant to emulate what happens in the real world. I thank God say none of my 5 children go ever go school for naija.

N.B: if i send my pikin go that school and them expel am i swear them go refund all the money or i shoot the pastor for leg so him go use the money treat himself....

waow to your post...very impressed indeed. It was non southerners like you that the English left nigeria with to rule unbiased. Just like you i am an ijaw man and i don't think ijaws are fit to rule even GEJ or any Nigerian that has ever ruled. My reasons are vast but i i will only give one, which of these leaders have done anything for their local government?

Promhize:

Its simple stop being self-conscious. Nothing else, stop thinking people are paying attention to you in a certain way, because seriously they are not.
Just live ur life, walk in the moment.

I always say Low self-esteem is worse than AIDS. It can practically destroy anybody. Low self-esteem is self-degradation caused by being too self-conscious for some time, self-consciousness as a result of a perceived bad feature in one's body.

There's nothing wrong with you my dear, its all in your head. When you are walking, you think you are not walking the right way.

I'm not a psychologist or some shrink, but I would advice you mix-up with girls, who are opposite of you i.e girls with "high self-esteem", whom you know are not self-conscious, that doesn't give a fuc.k about what others say about them. Go out with them, if possible live with them, if not spend most of your free time with them. For now, make sure you avoid solitude, when you are alone always find something to do (watch a movie, read, cook, do something) just to take ur mind off urself.

Live in the moment, live your life (YOLO).
You define yourself, a man shouldn't tell you what or who you are. My dear, when it comes to being abused about one's body, I don't think you have seen anything yet.

Low self-esteem is terrible, terrible.

That's just my own opinion.
In the words of DRAKE "May your neighbours respect you, trouble neglect you, Angels protect you, and heaven accept you".

Just look at the slum people live all in the name of wanting to live in Lagos and when Fashola decides to rehabilitate the area including the residents, they would start bitching about government's insensitivity to the plight of the poor.

You don't have to live a miserable life in Lagos because you are poor else, you go back to your village and live like a king !

What exactly do you disagree with? Oh you mean the part in bold..? Trust me it depends on the area and family background. In areas that people don't judge each other because they are alot of people, shame no dey to hawk and trust me when i say it helps train the kid @least in basic maths and trade. And from personal experience hawking is not a sign of poverty

Celebrities / Re: Don-Jazzy Used To Sell Akara, Agidi At Ajegunle, Tells His Story. by bolayei: 5:34pm On Aug 10, 2013
Okay o o,Now let me make something clear, back in the day hawking within your area was not a sign of poverty, it was a way to train kids on how to manage their time instead of running around and a way for kids to assist the family, e.g if don jazzy's family depended on the akara sales they can sell all the akara in a particular location since ajegunle is populated and awodiora estate back then was not a poverty stricken area because you hear ajegunle does not mean everyone there is poor.

My grand mum is an illiterate but her children are well educated more than half were educated abroad but she can only do buying and selling business, so she sells plantains, ogoro, fish in wholesale, sometimes if the plantain are begining to get ripe she will call us her grand children(not poor o o, we were in one of the best private schools)from different parts of lagos, bode thomas surulere and fastac not blocks of flats to help her hawk the plantain not because we or her needed the money for food. So when all these guys go come dey talk say them kiri i dey laugh, them too wan be like jay z wey sell drugs at the age of 13 because he need the money for him and his family to survive

What kind or type of power grin grin

Thanks for your interest.., i am talking about electricity, where the government have failed we can make things happen in our own little way, by starting small and by small i don't mean small money.

Have you thought about solar farms? i know a number of people know about it but probably have not thought about investing in it. A 1MW solar farm can supply 500-1000 homes electricity for 24hrs.

In a place like nigeria its a win win.,since we have good sunlight and lack power, even the western world is encouraging new built houses to install solar panels to save on bills.
Business / Re: Interested Partners For Importation Business Meeting Zone by bolayei: 8:56am On Aug 06, 2013
Okay i think it's time i come in..why do you guys always think china, all you need is someone that can source things for you.., there are different ways of sourcing things locally in different countries or is this thread limited to only nigerian based? What about people outside nigeria that have lost money from sending things home due to lack of commitment back home they lost money? What about things that sell the minute they open containers? Getting quality tablets, lcds, phones is easy it does not have to be made in china. Getting clothes, jewelleries is easy too it does not have to be made in china.

If i can get a clearing agent that will clear the goods with his own money that will be his investment atleast that way he is seeing what he is investing in.

If i can get people that want things and i source these things with my own money, with the guarantee that they will buy immiediately, i will source the items and when cleared everyone takes what they have ordered.

I am looking for partners in different states to start a franchise...interested partners should have up to 500k and looking for 9 other guys and no one will give anyone money we just play our parts. This investment is one that last 25-30years and it's life changing. The reason i need partners is because i am not based in nigeria and with partners based in nigeria i am sure of things being in order as people always protect their own.

I have alot of businesses i would like to go into but distance have always been a barrier so i believe with partners and not being greedy i will achieve my goal.

How does selling power sound? You can get in touch by ringing me 00447831374371
Politics / Re: Chidi Lloyd Sues Police For N50billion Over Ill-treatment by bolayei: 7:39am On Aug 06, 2013
Na wa o..,so no nairalander recognise the fact say the man na civil servant and na nigeria dey pay him salary and allowance, and nigerian police is a nigerian entity funded by nigeria, in other words the man is asking nigeria for 50 billion. The same man wey dey sit down with other men wey for make laws wey dey guide police dey sue police for incompetence.? No wonder these guys don't put money into education so nigerians can be well educated. Back in the day those army guys were well educated and knew when to carry out a coup when the corruption started in the sixties based on their local and foreign (army) education combined and these were young guys. The solution is mutiny and revolution i.e the police men and army wey dey guide these guys should think about their children and wives and other family members if they are living well and the army should do the same, so when the revolution start no body go protect anyone of them na either them resign, go on exile i.e people go personal drive them go border make them cross or if them resist well anything wey happen happen because the person wey go resist no mind.Imagine these law makers one of dem saying 'why should governor came here and supervise the beating of my col....and the other one disrespecting the mace like that and these men still have the mouth to talk. One day go be one day monkey go go market no return till then. we go take heart

Religion / Re: ''born Again'' -what Did Jesus Mean? by bolayei: 12:19pm On Jul 21, 2013
To be born again means total submission to your creator.., it has nothing to do with being a christian as not every christian is born again...It simply means worship God and to turn a new leaf. If one has to be baptised with water and the holy spirit to see the kingdom of God,does it mean Abraham,Moses,David,Solomon and the prophets before John the baptist will not see heaven as they were not baptised by water? But instead these prophets were born again in the sense that there submitted themselves to one true God and stayed away from sin by loving their neighbours as themselves. Even a true muslim is born again as he believes in Jesus christ of which without believing in Jesus he can't be muslim.
