http://abuja.emb.mfa.gov.tr/ShowInfoNotes.aspx?ID=756 According to the embassy link I posted above, we only need to have the certificates attested by the ministry of education, did not say anything about going to the foreign affairs ministry, that is why I asked you the initial question. |

Ok, I guess different schools = different requirements. |
![]() |
@ abduladi, Do we need to go to the foreign affairs ministry too for the TRNC visa application process? |

@ Sithanda, Could you please explain the process of authenticating the documents at the Ministry of Education in Abuja? What do I need to take with me for certifying both my O level and Bachelors degree certificates? Thanks |
![]() |
@ Sithanda, How are you finding CIU; in terms of infrastructure and environment? is it compulsory for freshmen to stay in the dorms? Why are you thinking of leaving? |
![]() |
I'd like to know if any of the French schools have a January start date. @ Sithanda, dont you think it might be better to finish in North Cyprus, then apply for a masters in France |
![]() |
@ Wip, Thank you so much for all your responses. One more question, what is the procedure for a student from North Cyprus to cross over to South Cyprus for a visit? Thank you very much. |

@ wip, Please does one need a one way or roundtrip ticket to travel from Nigeria to N. Cyprus for studies? |

@ Kheme, How is the masters degree program going? How is it structured, like lecture times etc? |
![]() |
@J20limited, Thank you very much for that write up. I have been very concerned about the recognition for the TRNC degrees considering they are from a country that is not recognized. Would you happen to know if people have generally had problems owing to the recognition (or lack thereof) of the degrees? Thanks. |

@ CollinsFbi Which school in Malaysia is your friend in? |

@ Wip 4, Thanks for the reply and no you never sent me an email, cos I didnt put my email address up. I would be interested in the spring admissions for a masters program at EMU. What kind of scholarships do they have available? |
![]() |
@ Wip4 Does EMU have scholarships for masters students? |

@ Raintree, are you on facebook or yahoo msgr? I need to ask you a couple questions, Thanks |

@ Olas2u Not everyone is suffering and begging for money in Malaysia. From what the poster has said so far, he is capable of funding his education. Generalizations are not always correct. |

@ CollinsFBI I understand that your intentions are noble, but there is no way you can compare MUN fees with that of the said university in Malaysia. Given, the actual school fees in MUN might be the cheapest in Canada; and this is as a result of MUN being in a rural area, but if you look at the website, the amount they quote for the yearly expenses is way way higher than what is obtainable in Malaysia. And I am always amused when people say, well you can school and work; how easy is it to get his work people keep talking about? America and Canada don change o, it's not the way it used to be, folks are getting increasingly surprised when they go out to those places. And the fact that MUN is in a rural area reduces the chances of employment being surplus, this is why schools keep harping on the fact that you need to have the finances for your education down before you leave your country, that way one does not run into funny problems overseas. Malaysia might not be first rate, but their education system still better pass Nigeria, their fees are reasonable and cost of living is not high. I think that human beings should learn to operate within their circumstances, if your papa hol enough money to fund your education, then go anywhere you want. But if you have checked yours and your family's resources and na Malaysia wey im fit reach; why not? by all means go and fufill your educational desires. no be everybody go go UK, Canada, America. Everyone's path in life is different. @ AK Please forget that plan of going there and staying there and all that kurukere waka, na wahala you dey find if you take that route. I'd say have some patience, apply for the program at UM, get accepted, get your student visa and leave. When you get there, stick to what you went out there to do and be the very best you that you can be. It is always advisable to do things the legal and acceptable way in these countries, your life would be much more enjoyable and easier for it. |

@ wip4, Thank you for your detailed analysis of the situation on ground in TRNC. I had another question, you said your friends have gone on to pursue degrees in other countries, would any of those countries include canada? Can I go on after getting my masters in TRNC to pursue a PHD in Canada, and if so would you happen to know which Canadian consulate caters to those residing in TRNC? Thanks once again. You have been very helpful. |

@ Wip, I was reading up on TRNC and found out that it seems it is not a recognized country and as such the degrees from North Cyprus universities might not be recognized worldwide. Could you please shed some light on this? from my understanding, you studied in Cyprus, have you had any problems with your degree being recognized? Any one else who has some insight on this, should please comment. Thanks. |

Hello Kheme, I just had a few questions about your former school EUL. What is the best way to reach them, as I have tried calling over and over but they dont answer the phone; that concerns me though, cos what kind of uni does not answer their phones. Also how is the school in general; infrastructure, staff, environs? Is it better to live in the dorms or off campus? and are their postgraduate courses any good? and is upkeep very expensive over there? Hope to hear from you. Thanks |

Hello Wip4, I just wanted to know if masters students need to show their high school certs as well at the embassy, or just the bachelors degree certs? Also if masters students have to show their high school certs, will the GCE certificate be enough? because I read on the Turkish embassy w.site that one needs to show high school graduation diplomas, does that mean one has to show high school grad certs in addition to say a GCE cert? Thanks for your anticipated assistance. |
