mrvitalis:
Let me break down something

If u employ

If u employ 500 people which job description as gutter cleaners and pay them 75k monthly

It would cost the state 450 million yearly...

If u charge each house in the cities 3000 per month and u have say 300,000 houses

It would give you 10.8 billion

You can employ 5000 people to sweep the states, costing u 4.5 billion yearly

U have 3 billion u can build plastic recycling factory that convert waste plastic to plastic dustbins

Use 2 billion for trucks

U have used a simple problem to create 5500 sustainable jobs

Your cities would be cleaners

By the second year u can start using the 5 billion profit to plant trees and gardens

This is what governance is all about
The government in Nigeria is clueless!

Government in Nigeria is only good in looting the treasury.

The government is an innocent mirror of the people. As long as the population as a whole is functioning
incoherently, the government can only reflect that

This is another big lie!

A good government can bring about a positive transformation of the behaviour of the people(China is a good example).

I live in Nigeria. But currently on vacation in Luxembourg.

Greed is mbedded in the DNA of both the leaders and followers . .

Take all Nigerian citizens to Qatar. And bring all Qatari citizens to Nigeria.
Qatar will become a third world country in less than a year.
And Nigeria will become a developed country in less than 4 years .
This is a lame excuse for the gross looting of the politicians in Nigeria!

Let me surprise you,the worst performing government officials in both Luxembourg and Qatar are better than the best performing government officials in Nigeria(aka Generator Republic).

Nigerian government officials are thieves!

The politicians are looters of public funds and the politicians lack accountability.

According to Nigerian standard I will score him 40/100!

According to Chinese standard(which is the best in the world) I will score him 2/100.

Once Nigeria as a country stop celebrating mediocre performance of government;then that is when Nigeria will start experiencing real development and prosperity.

The so called 'best performing governors' in Nigeria will be arrested and sent to life imprisonment in China.

Nigeria as a country is not serious with governance!

Apparently OANDO has "maradonically" played a fast one on those hoping the repeated court adjournment will once again, pave way for an opportunistic entry riding on volatility. wink cool

I just smile from the sideline when I read certain post about the coy. ...It's surprising that some folks aren't seeing the value accretive potential in the coy when all they needed to do was thoroughly peruse through her financial print, particularly the last two.
Unfortunately, many will choose to focus on a coys SPL setting aside the timely expose that often comes with proficiently and efficiently modelling the Nos in the BS and SCF.

Let me say this again; OANDO holds huge potential even @ the CMP.
A very conservative FVE places the coy @ N37.15 even if I assume zero growth in H2, 2024 and knock-off a RP equivalent to surrounding risk level.
I love how the technicals has played out. (ref: HTF set-up in view)
Even a thorough breakdown of the coys TA gives a clear clue on directional bias and price projection, but of course some aren't seeing it. (I already did an analysis on this)

I did highlight the immense potential in OANDO, 1st @ N4+ and later @ N7--8... at a time when all but a few jacks believed the stock will be de-listed in the near term. ...surprisingly, they still do!
It's almost like they can't read the hand writing on the wall. wink cheesy cool

Was done talking about OANDO so I don't appear to be marketing the coy. (see link above for my last 2 post)
Those who subscribed to my outline/recommendations and investment guide--Series 1 and 2 knew exactly what they had to do.

People appear to be more concerned about antecedents/the past than what the present gives or even the future holds.
These 2 Nuggets are key!

"I know of a man who was 'drowned in the vicissitudes of the stock market'. ...his pathways was built around the PAST than the FUTURE, until the PRESENT left him behind!"
~Sinclair

"If you want to KNOW if you can SUCCEED in the stock market, then 1st find out where you fall in between SMART, INTELLIGENT and DISCERNING.
...but remember that the market has been CONFIGURED to have and work with all 3 attribute as a collective."

~Sinclair

CAVEAT: NOT to be inferred as any sought of investment advice. The need for due diligence should still take higher precedence ahead of this post.

It is well
Quite frankly,is like Oando is trying to right its wrongs or rather Oando is improving.

But if you're are a newbie in the Nigerian Stock Exchange Market,it will be better you buy stocks of consistent dividend paying companies like Zenith Bank,Access Bank,UBA,GTBank and Fidelity Bank.

Buying consistent dividend paying stocks is good for your mental and financial health.

Never you forget that the return of your money supercedes the return on your money!

Politics / Re: Ex-Edo Deputy Governor Shuaibu Declared Support For APC's Okpebholo by EDUECO(m): 6:54am On Jun 17, 2024
The fear of APC as a party is the beginning of wisdom.

Just look at how APC almost destroyed the economy of Nigeria through galloping inflation and devaluation of the Naira.

Individuals and businesses can no longer plan effortlessly because of the distortionary effect or economic disequilibrium of galloping inflation, devaluation and increased taxes or tariffs

APC has performed extremely poor at the federal level of governance in Nigeria.

PDP or LP is a better option.

I hope this is not through the machinations of APC rigging machineries (like INEC and thuggery)?

I think Oshiomhole is extremely desperate.

Not that PDP is a saint party.Labour party or PDP is preferable to APC.

Nigeria was not eldorado country during the reign of PDP in Nigeria, but APC has turned Nigeria into a country of galloping inflation and despair.

If an agricultural business has not paid dividend consistently for at least 5 years I wouldn't advice anyone to even invest in it .

Good consistent dividend is the true test of a well managed company.

Super Eagles played well!

The players must imbibe the mentality of do-or-die when playing any match.

Immediately they scored that first goal, they should have defended for the remaining time of the match.

I cannot see and feel the hunger to win from the team.

The message is actually for the people who don't have deep understanding about how the market works and are risk averse . Short terms instruments like Tbills is a safe place for such people for now cos the rates are not bad.

There is always money in the market, bull or bear , people make money. I remember pointing out NB a few weeks ago when it was ₦23. People are cashing out, you just need to do your due diligence.
Alright

If you have good money that you don't want to lose and you are risk adverse, just align with money market jejely for now. NGX defiles all analysis at the moment. Floor market is more attractive than RI.. Lol ...

The game right now is for the market makers, the money bags that can afford to average down, the bullion vans that want controlling shares in some companies most especially banks and the highly experienced investors.

If you don't fall in any of the above categories, save yourself some sleepless night and invest in short term MM instruments, the rate is good right now. Be a smart investor. When the coast is clear , even the blind will see.

Shalom

Quite frankly,you are probably right!

But don't forget that there are folks with good cash flow from their business or job that buy good dividend paying stocks once every week or once every month of the year.

For me,I believe time in the market is better than timing the market.
