Ah Thank God for that clarification. Well it makes sense if they have a new multi-billion radial tyre  plant and they need to shut down old and probably unprofitable/unproductive plants so be it.

The problem is with the way the info was disseminated. Sometimes the presentation is as important as the substance.

Catch my drift?

Noted for adoption. Anyone with substantial interests should be able to get more info from the brokers. I have daily google alerts on companies i'm into big time, i just thought i should alert Dunlop investors as i don't recall anyone mentioning shutting down of plants or retrenchments.

I beg where you get this one from o? Enlighten the house. They have just spent N8B most of the proceeds from the last PO on a radial tyre plant

I got this from the live programme beamed from the floor of the NSE on AIT, i was just flicking thru and got only part of the gist. Err, i don't want to be seen as a messenger of doom. Don't want any referrals to Aktopgun & blueband grin.  It might just be one of the plants being shut down, certainly not the newly installed radial tyre plant.

please. can someone help me with this problem. i bought dangote flour during ipd and i have not received my return money or my certificate please if anyone can tell what to do about this, i bought it from GTB bank.

thanks for your anticipated reply.

You may ring oceanic registrars on 01-8756813, you'll have to go to the GTBank branch you bought from to pick up your return cheque. Hope this helps

What is this gist going round on Dunlop?  Retrenchment, factory closing etc Is this part of the strategic turn-around? I hope the board-aspirant on here is on top of the goings-on in Dunlop.

@ Aktopgun: Oh my! sad I didn't see any response too, but thought i should just ask in case folks had been hooking up "off air", make better thing no pass me by.   I have heard of some groups coming together for such, but all the action takes place in london. Londoncool does know about them, but they're exclusively for the deepest of pockets. Some of the major contributors here can surely deliver on managing a mega-portfolio. Renaissance should come do their head-hunting on Nairaland, they'd probably poach one or two from here.

Please have me in mind incase anyother person signifies their interest.

@ hbrednic: Is frankiriri's still on?, i thought it was just for preferential allotment for one of the POs at the time.

@ Aktopgun

Have you had any response/mails in response to the collaboration you suggested?, after Wanajo initially mooted the idea, i for one will love to be part of it, but more folks need to show interest for it to be workable. Mutual trust is also an essential ingredient for it to be realisable. There's so much effectiveness in financial might. There's so much we can do if only we can pull together, to pool the funds.

There was scant news of something tasty brewing for Juli Pharmacy last week, Julius Adelusi-Adeluyi was reported to have teamed up with some investors in turning-around the fortunes of the company. Does anyone on here have the details? Wendy perhaps? Was just looking at the daily activities, and the volumes traded in Juli is just so unusual. Any insights?

I've been lucky to get through at the first attempt on each occassion, and this was anytime between 0900-1600.  Keep trying, you will surely get through.

@ INVISIBLE & other impending NSL cicoer's

NSL will go on TS very very soon, so tread carefully, except of course you're into it for medium term. Its looking good to enter at mo after bottoming out, and bouncing upwards from its support level, but beware of TS sha. IPO is very imminent.

@ Invisible,
ATM machines are now ubiquituous in Nigeria and Wanajo mentioned the Companies running the show.
As for NSL, they have no affiliation to ATM operations and are fully into sports lottery. My little Contribution.

NSL is not only into lottery business, i can confirm that they do E-payments, E-funds transfer, card payments, automated mobile phone credit top-ups etc. Their machines are engineered to do all of this and much more. The NSL MD(Dr Kola-Daisi) addressed Brokers on the NSE floor a couple of months back, and was also interviewed on "The Money Show". They were on the verge of sealing a deal with some neighbouring countries along the West coast of Africa at the time. Its not too dissimilar to the Chams line of business. A roll-out will commence before the end of the year!

Has anyone banking with UBA been able to log into ubadirect this evening? Just wondering if its just me, or a general problem with UBA's e-banking. Its annoying really as i can't verify whether my broker effected the withdrawal i ordered.

That does not make sense financially  If you have 75M cash to play with  divide that in 4  you will conveniently pay the 20% deposit for two properties and use the rest in investing in the stock market and buy one of these 'jekuredi' software houses   in Lagos in need of  liquidity injection and turn it around.

You are made for life mate!

I don't know the area you  live in but on average in the last 5-7 years house prices have doubled in the UK. Even in Wales and Scotland and up North!

Easy now, why you can dey yab "up North". No be the same north you dey pray make the stock prices of your portfolio dey go? grin Abeg make you leave north alone. The further up north you invest/reside, the higher your portfolio go dey rise. lol

Do you haopen to have a soft copy of the prospectus and what the minimum unit is?

It is 500,000 units at N2.70 per unit. Only saw the hard-copy, but should have the soft-copy pretty soon. It will be on here soon.

@ Pumping777

Many thanks for the quick response yesterday. You are the MAN. For all interested in MTI, Cordros Capital is one of the brokers.

@hispy99

BGL securities now require N5million to open a broking account, it could be in cash, or in stockholding. But do not be discouraged if your resources are not quite up to that, carry on and talk to them, they might be still be able to deal. They've gone the extra mile for me in the past.

Kudos to all on here. Its a shame the APTISTOCK software isn't compatible with VISTA, only XP and WINDOWS 2000. Is there any way round this compatibility issue?, would one have to wait for an updated version that would be VISTA compliant?
Many thanks
Autos / Any Ideas About Converting Right Hand Drive Cars To Lhd? by lumidii: 7:38pm On Nov 23, 2006
Hi all, I was wondering if i could get any information about converting RHD cars to LHD in lagos. I've got three RIGHT HAND DRIVE peugeot 406s arriving lagos in two weeks time, and would be glad to have them converted to LHD. Any info about costs, or garages who specialise in doing this would be appreciated. Likewise i'd love to hear any personal experiences about driving a RHD, and benefits of doing the conversion.

Many thanks
