if look closely to some terrable happenings in nigeria (apart from insurgency) you wil agree wit me that such news usually come from western nigeria. You wil hear things like
*father rapes daughter
*son rapes mother
*man had sex with a dog/goat
*woman gives birth to rat, lizard, bird etc
*man kills father
*woman sets boyfriend ablaze
*man stabs neighbour to death
*70 year old man defiles 4 year old girl
*family of 7 sleeps to death
*man kills friend over argument
*man dies during sex
woman gives birth after after 6 years of pregnancy
*armed robbery, suicide and building collapse and rituals cases. D list goes on and on.
Greater percentage of these from Ekiti. This region is blessed with great men of God but what is d problem of this land? Do they need spiritual cleansing?
I need some answers

So is it the akwa-ibomite that likes school ? Haba bros make you hate for PH no take u go this level a beg, when even with the overhyped uncommon transformational agenda, an average of 6 akwaibomite relocates to PH daily.

If you see roads, fountains as a yardstick for Uyo replacing PH then you are really a bush man
since akwa ibom recovered her stolen oil blocs from rivers, dis guys hates anytin akwa ibom. They can steal o, d crime rate in dis slum called ph is threatening, they hates skull dia dream is 2 make it fast tru pipe line vandalism.

Where are your central business districts?? Are there no areas of business clusters??

There's so much more to a city than roads and flyovers.

Abagworo: You can clearly see from this chart the allocation gap between Akwaibom and Rivers and tell me what all this money was used for. Why is there so much poverty and. Little to show? Akwaibom needs liberation from Akpabio.
dis guys are so mad dat a very young akwa ibom of just 27yrs has taken over.
Uyo is d fastest developing city in nigeria. Uyo is only competing wit abuja in terms of modern facilities.

Some of this calabar slaves who refer to themselves as akwa ibom are ridiculous.
Gone are those days when people count bridges and roads as the only indeces of a city.

Uyo is small with scanty settlements around. The prestige is not there, Uyo has no centre of attractions like PH and calabar; especially the calabar festival.
PH is a home for wealth, high class business activities. PH has the third best sky view in the country. Check out its sky scrappers.
UYO IS NOWHERE NEAR.

I think akwa ibom is just trying to gain recognition.
Building roads and bridges is BT enough. Not even the controversial stadium.
Eg, calabar has nothing to do with bridges and flyovers but has international recognition than uyo.

Geographically, uyo is "too small" compared to the garden City and the nations paradise.
Fishes should stop swimming with sharks.

U can't reasonably compare uyo with bonny island when it comes to beauty, power supply, cost of living etc.

UYO AND PH ARE INCOMPARABLE.
OP GET UR FACTS RIGHT.
MAKE GOOGLE UR FRIEND.
eleme tout callin akwa ibomites calabar slaves. Yeye fowl wey no fit lay beta egg.

kel4soft: The OP needs brain surgery. So because you have few good roads in a city that is not as big as Obio/Akpor in PH with scanty buildings have made it replace Port Harcourt. Uyo need more 30years intense building of structures with PH staying still for your Uyo to come close to PH.
PH has neva been a fine city to be sincere,is d activity of oil companies dat got ppl tokin abt PH.
PH is a slum Uyo is a new world

Abagworo:

Everyone including you know this truth. People travel from various places to Owerri every weekend. 90% events meant for the Eastern zone is held in Owerri year in year out. December we all bypass Uyo and struggle through the Itu/Calabar road neglected by Jonathan to visit Calabar for holidays even though Uyo is closer.

Finally beyond the over-advertized roads and one or 2 hotels, 90% of roads in Uyo are unmotorable and the houses are slums with rusty roofs.
apart from Abuja which is d nations capital, Uyo has d best road network in Nigeria. I mean good road network an world class roads, no be hype Landlord travell an see.
