When u dial the number, listen to the menu and contact the uscis office nearest to you, follow the instructions , if they ask you for your zip code while making call dial the number, if its ur receipt number dial the numbers that have the alphabets. good luck

baba ajala: i will advice you to go to another ssn office to apply. and for the green card call uscis to sort it out or better still you can go to thier office. Also make sure u enter your reciept number correctly

I had my initial interview on 14 Feb 2013 at US embassy in Nairobi. then I had a second interview on 15 July this year. at that time the Consular approved my visa and he also gave me an ALIEN Registration number, and he told me to get my visa after one week but still I have nothing. when I check my visa status it says administrative processing.

so my friends I want to know is it possible to not get my visa while I have my Alien Number.

after 90 days of waiting i was told to bring some school records and photos of my childhood, i brought them.
then they r again sayin we need follow up interview.
so do any one knows what this second interview called follow up interview is.

junkerhill: my brother, I will advice you to wait. If 90 days is what is written on your form abide by it. If someone told you 60days, you should not listen to the person. Your case and that of the person are not the same. The day your told us about your AP status was the day I told you its going to take a long time because your home-town (somali) is quite far from Nairobi. Its going to take them time to run a background check on you. So my brother, you can only be successful by waiting it out.

ksjlar: There is a plethora of reasons why one is out under administrative processing. Unfortunately there is nothing you can do to speed up the process. They will contact you withing the stipulated letter they handed you to inform you about the process. I was put on administrative processing to but it was successful by the grace of God.

There is no need to worry especially if all your documents are clean and you have no criminal record in your country or abroad. Good luck chuck and I know you will come up tops. In the mean time thank God in advance for success.

Nuru231: Mohammed, the minimum requirement is to have high school certificate or two years of work experience, I can see you already attend high school, the 3 semester you attend in university might additional, so go along with it, but remember the main is high school certificate. about photo, if you think un logically different size, change other photo, otherwise you ain't have problem. In some country like Ethiopia, 10th grade high school certificate doesn't work. must be 12th grade.
