Business / Good Clearing And Forwarding Agent by Ononachi(m): 4:18pm On Sep 07, 2021
Sometimes earlier this year, my brother had an issue with his clearing agent because of the demurrages he incurred during the clearance of his 12 by 40ft containers. My brother became devastated after that experience and was practically discouraged from importation business. After some months, I think sometime in April, an India man from Deekay Group, recommended an agent to him. However, his past experience with his last agent that almost crippled his business, made him to double-check the agent's pedigree before giving him a job. His findings about the agent were awesome. He gave him a job of 5containers to clear and he cleared them swiftly and at a low price; no extra cost and demurrages. Since then, my brother has given him over 100containers to clear for him and they never had issues. For this reason, I decided to speak good about this agent, whose professionalism and competence have added so much value to my brother's business. Though this agent is not that big, but his company is well structured. Their customer management is top-notch - second to none.

The name of his agency is Keystyle Logistics ( www.keystylelogistics.com )

You can contact him directly through the below number:

Business / Interlocking/paving Stones And Interior Decoration by Ononachi(m): 11:37am On Mar 27, 2018
In recent times, I have discovered that construction companies are the biggest employers of labour. If you are in doubt, come with me.

Years back, I was into fashion business; I run a boutique and supply wears. Then I had only 3 employees, when the business was booming. I later sold the business to follow my passion, which is laying of interlocking stones and interior decoration. I developed passion in this areas because beautiful things appeal to. Well laid interlocking stones, can make the exterior of a building appealing and wonderful; just the way interior decoration does to the interior of a building. That is why the real estate guys don't joke with the services of interlocking stone contractors and interior decorators. Because they know that good exterior and interior decorations increase the value of a building.

Talking about employment.
As a contractor in this profession, I have been able to employ up to 30 people, both directly and indirectly. And in some cases, I do have up to 50 people working for me for more than two months that I pay daily. I can't say that I am making more money now than when I was into fashion, but the joy I derive from the number of people I give job, gives me satisfaction.

Look around any construction sites in your neighborhood and count all the laborers and artisans working there, you will understand what I mean.

With access bank mobile app, you can block your atm card, I don't know about other banks though.
As long as your phone is intact, just block it once you misplaced your card, you also can unlock it later.
Romance / My Open Marriage Proposal To Linda Ikeji by Ononachi(m): 3:55pm On Sep 26, 2017
My Dearest Love of Life: Linda,

It has been a wonderful experience for me, to be deeply in-love with a woman who doesn't know of my existence. Right from the first day I know of you, my soul has been obsessed with you. whenever I close my eyes, I see you standing before me wearing the most beautiful smiling face I have ever seen. My dreams have never been complete every night without you taking a romantic walk with me. It sounds strange to my friends whenever I bring up the topic of my love for you to our discussions, just the way this might sound strange to you. I love you with my heart, my life and all I have got. I have always looked out for the perfect time to make my feelings known to you, but such perfect time never existed, hence my using this medium to convey my heart to you.

You are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. You are not just beautiful, but you are wonderfully made. If there is any woman that is perfect in all ramifications, you are that woman. I see no fault in you. Any man who sees half of the things I see in you albeit afar, will go any length to have you as a wife. Your type of woman is born once in a century. Ayi Kwei Armah was right when he titled his novel: 'The Beautiful Ones Are Not Yet Born' because as at then, you were not born. I trust that he would write another novel and title it: 'I have Seen The Beautiful One, Linda' if he has the opportunity to set his eyes on you.

The Angel of my life; the feeding bottle of my soul, I love you beyond your possible imagination or understanding of what love is all about, and I can prove this to you if I am given an inch into your beautiful soul. You are the only woman I want to live with and the only woman I can live the rest of my life with. I pledge I will treat you like a heavenly Angel. I will give you all the respect you deserve in this world and respect your profession.

PLEASE BABY, WILL YOU MARRY ME?

Please say yes to me. Say yes to me and hold my hand, so that I can lead this dance. People will green with envy when they watch us dance. Some will gossip, some will wish it never happened, but many will join us on the dancing floor.

My love, come into my life and beautify my soul. All I need is a yes from you so we can get married and live the most beautiful life on earth. Our marriage will be crowned with love, respect, children, good health and wealth. It will yield the most beautiful and sweetest fruits that good marriages yield. Just close your eyes and imagine it.

If you have ever dreamed of a man who will love everything about you including the dust you step on, I am that man.

I love you, the salt of my soul.

I would be expecting your beautiful 'YES' as soon as this proposal reaches you.

I can be contacted most easily through my mobile phone number and email address below. If it is fine by you, send your phone number to me or your direct e-mail address so that I can contact you directly.

Thank you my love for considering this proposal.

Yours Future Husband

Peter Okechukwu.

Car Talk / When You See Your Mate Driving Lamborghini by Ononachi(m): 4:02pm On Jan 30, 2017
In life, there are people who are blessed with practically everything that life offers: a good spouse, wealth, intelligence, wisdom, good health, nice skin and physique.
In the other hand, there are people who are not as much blessed with all these things. They have them good in some areas and awfully bad in other areas.
life can be fair or unfair, depending on how its affects you.

This morning, I peeped through my office window and saw a red Lamborghini parked in front of the plaza. I was like "wow! that car eh." Not quite long, and I saw a young handsome man in his early 30s standing beside the car with one of my female colleagues. I couldn't contain it. Then I waited patiently to see if the man was actually the person that came with the car. Having my eyes fixed on them, he handed my colleague a parcel and hopped into the car. I Held my breath waiting for my colleague to come up so as to confirm if the young man was actually the owner of the car. She came up smiling at seeing me as if she knew what I was thinking. I didn't waste time to ask her who the guy was and if he was actually the owner of the car. Her answer was in the affirmative.

I sighed and shook my head.

I will get there soon, I soliloquized.
Culture / The Smartphone Journalist by Ononachi(m): 1:52pm On Jan 09, 2017
A few days ago, I was travelling back to Lagos by road after the Christmastide. Just along Benin-Ore road, we saw a Toyota Sienna tumbled and fell into a ditch. On sighing the accident, our driver quickly halted our vehicle so we could go and rescure the occupants of the car. On getting there, all the occupants were screaming for help as they could not get out of the car on their own. We quickly swung into action - evacuating them and their luggage's. While we were busy doing this, I noticed that some Smartphone Journalists were busy videoing us and the evacuated victims. A particular lady who stood some inches away from a severely injured victim, bleeding profusely from a deep wound she sustained on her forehead, was busy videoing how the blood was gushing out. She never made any effort to provide help to the lady screaming out her larynx for help. All she was engrossed with was her phone and the video she was taking with it.
On seeing this, I became mad. I shouted myself almost into tears. How could people be that heartless? A young lady was bleeding to death and all that mattered to someone was to video how she would eventually bleed to death. What would she use the video for?

I approached the lady in anger and asked her to go back to which ever vehicle she came down from since she was not there to provide help. It was then that someone told me that they were five, 4ladies and a guy, videoing the victims. I could not imagine that a man would join in such a heartless venture. I turned to the guy and asked him if he was a journalist, he said no. I asked him what he would do with the video and photos he was taking. I asked him is the video and photos were more important to him than saving lives. He was shameful and could not answer my questions.

That experience shocked me to the bone.

Those people wanted something to rush to the social media with - gory video and photos.

Smartphones have sadly turned many people to journalists.

Many freight forwarding company are like this, they promise good services and low-cost services etc. but at the end of the day the good services that is promised by some freight companies are not complied well and the tendency is they will have major problems. Poor services and incompetence is not a good characteristics of a freight forwarding company. To add some tips on chossing the right freight forwarding company i would like to elaborate some. First check and research if they can "really" handle the situation like handling multiple tupes of shipments. Second, are they a member of a trade associations because you can see here who are the freight companies that is worthy and reliable. Lastly is that if they have a good process of operation.

Well, all I encourage people to do is to try them. I have referred 6 importers to them so far, and all came back with lots of testimonies. clearly, the company stands head and shoulders above many clearing and forwarding agencies, in terms of service delivery. To tell you how good they are, 70% of their customers, are foreigners according to their MD. If you have worked with a foreigner (Asian or European) in Nigeria before, you would know how much they detest poor service and incompetence.
Thanks.
Nairaland / General / Fulani Herdsmen by Ononachi(m): 3:02pm On Apr 26, 2016
The reason Buhari will not react to the Fulani herdsmen killing escapades in the country is because he as a rich Fulani man, has cattle that some herdsmen rear for him. If he sends the security officials to attack the herdsmen, they may also attack his own employees. Also, for the doctrine of brotherhood embedded in Fulani culture, Buhari will not attack his brothers. My worry is that while these herdsmen attack people with reckless abandon, they do that with a sense of right and protection. They believe that their brother is the president, therefore they are protected irrespective of their impunity. And Buhari is clearly proving them right! This is worrisome to say the least.

I advise all the communities invaded and those at the risk of being invaded by this animalistic herdsmen to arm themselves with sophisticated weapons and be at alert.

Business / Business: Naira To Yuan by Ononachi(m): 11:04am On Apr 14, 2016
On April Last year, I visited the Imo State Liaison Officer in Lagos. We discussed extensively on how to help our business men in Lagos achieve more success without hindrances. We pointed out the challenges that most Igbo men face in doing business in Lagos nay Nigeria. However, our discussion was dominated by one common challenge faced by businessmen especially importers in Nigeria. And that challenge is the forex exchange! Most Nigerian importers, import from China and they lose a lot of money through foreign exchange. This is because, they change Naira to dollar here in Nigeria, then travel with the dollar to China where they would change it to yuan for their business transactions. He was of the view that Nigerian importers, should change their naira directly to yuan without going through the aforementioned process. He scheduled a meeting with some Igbo business leaders to discuss this and probably propose it to the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria.

Thankfully, the present government has put a pen to paper to make this come to fruition. Something good can actually come out from Nazareth.

Politics / We Are Not Serious Yet by Ononachi(m): 8:30pm On Apr 13, 2016
We are not serious yet.We talk about diversifying the economy, but fixated on investing heavily in agriculture. No one is talking about investing heavily in technology. No one is talking about investing heavily in medicine. No one is talking about investing heavily in education and research etc. How can we be counted a serious and competitive nation when we can't produce world class engineers and scientists in our universities? Will it be a taboo for us to manufacture airplanes, ships and submarines before 2025? Will it be a bad thing for us to manufacture smart phones and fifth generation computers before 2020? Will it amount to terrorism if we manufacture our own war jets, tanks, warships, fifth generation warplanes, drones and nuclear weapons before 2025? Will it be a bad thing for us to invent something that has never existed? I mean, what plans are we making to achieve all these in thenearest future? What investment plans do we have in place for all these...? What are we even doing about power generation that has gone from worseto worst?Well, I guess we do not deem investing heavily in all these sectors as diversifying or boosting the economy.Honestly, we are not serious yet! If we continue this way, I am afraid we willstill be talking about oil, agriculture and 5,000 mega watt power generation in 2030. We are far far far far far behind and have no plan to catch up soon
Politics / Problem With Nigeria by Ononachi(m): 8:23pm On Apr 13, 2016
Some time last year, I met one Alhaji who is into warehousing. He took me to one warehouse and pointed at the goods there and said: "my friend, that is the stoves that Goodluck Jonathan proposed to share to widows." I was bemused!

Goodluck before he lost the presidential election, promised to give widows a stove each. A man was contracted to buy the stoves and he imported seven 40ft containers for sample. The contractor, however must have been bewitched by one powerful devil minion for him to have bought coal-stoves instead of kerosene or electric stoves. Who uses coal-stove in Nigeria?

to cut the story short, the contract was terminated immediately Jonathan left office. The money spent on this was lost totally because the contractor couldn't sell the stoves as government did not continue with the project.

This is the way most projects in Nigeria end up uncompleted. A president will come up with a good project, but the day he leaves office is the day that project will die. Obasanjo invested billions in the power project, but Yar'adua came and suspended the project which would have eased the upheaval in the power sector if it was completed. We have a long way to. and if we continue this way, our journey will continue to stretch.
Politics / Freight Forwarding by Ononachi(m): 5:07pm On Apr 11, 2016
My friend who is a Chinese but does business in Nigeria, has for some years complained bitterly about his clearing agents. He complained about their incompetence, lying, poor service and over-charging. He has used more than 10 clearing agents, but never got satisfied with their services. I was elated when he called me last two months to register his satisfaction with a new agent referred to him by a friend and business associate. I begged him to send me the details of the agent so I could recommend him to my elder brother who is also an importer. He did. When I visited my brother last weekend, my brother testified to the quality of their service, with a good price. According my brother, the company is currently the best and most reliable agent in Lagos.

I am glad to recommend this clearing and forwarding agent company to you. If you have challenges getting your containers out from Lagos sea ports; if your are not satisfied with your clearing and forwarding agents' services, please try this company and I assure you that all your challenges will be eased.
