I discovered my love for music at a very young age...I think 5. According to my mum, I wouldn't just shut up about one of micheal jackson's song..."They don't care about us" there was this other indian song...eRrrmmmm...the song in the movie "toofan", I kept singing the blabbing version of that song

What do you think it's responsible for this and how can a woman be herself without letting men beautify her?.

I was already a feminist at heart since I was born. Feminism isn't about claiming the name but behavioural attitudes.
I started identifying myself as one when I joined Nairaland.

Any woman that listens to the opinion of men would develop a self hatred for herself.
I pay attention to my look because I want to look good in the eyes of humans irregardless of gender not trying to impress men - when you try so, they'll end up objectifying it.

I'm not a victim of societal pressure.
The high time women started shunning status quo the better for them.
To women, If any man blasts you about your decision to remain single, lambast him in return.
That's why I love Chimamanda Adichie when she blasted African men who hate her and told ladies to fear no one and forget being liked.
Likeability is overhyped/rated.
