The Dark Man of a person is making a whole lot of sense.

There is absolutely nothing noble in setting up night clubs here and there, and peddling alcoholic drinks from warehouses to warehouses.

What exactly is the need served by the kind of businesses owned by Obi Cubans?

If we do a societal value and moral assessment of his businesses, we are bound to see that his major lines of business do not in the long run promote the cause of right living and godly development for the nation.

All those vice houses and coded bordellos they call night clubs are nothing but centres of moral devolution orchestrated by retrograde social forces and mafian-like economic calculations to bring moral devastation and spiritual decay into the lives of many people.

Alcohol is still a drug.
Those who continue to deny this reality are only being willfully ignorant.

Business / Re: CBN Stops Price Verification System As Criteria For Imports by TYCO77: 5:03pm On Jun 27

Peejayz:
Someone should explain.

How will it affect importation

Okay. Importers pay customs duty before they could clear their imported goods at the ports. This duty is a percentage of the price of the item(s) from country of production, converted to our local currency as determined by CBN exchange rate. The duty percentage of goods is well documented in the HS Code(Harmonized system code)

Generally, importers forward their pre-importation documents and the packing list containing numbers of item(s) imported and their price(s) to CBN via the their banks for Form 'M'. The Form 'M' is an essential and mandatory document for importation and clearing of goods in Nigeria.

However, some unpatriotic importers in connivance with their clearing agents manipulate these documents, mostly the packing list and prices in order to avoid paying the correct duty. The CBN in order to checkmate this came up with the Price Verification System instead of depending on the prices forwarded by the importers for processing the Form 'M'. This system can no longer stand due to the fluctuation of the Naira exchange rate.

It's a shame that Davido wants to keep sleeping with Sophia while married to Chioma. He feels entitled to Sophia's body because he's taking care of their daughter, Imade.

It's quite unfortunate that Chioma doesn't have a problem marrying a community d!ck like Davido all thanks to fame and fortune.

This a judgement made in haste and biased. I stand to be corrected, I read in the media sometime ago where Davido lamented that Sophia rejected the money he sent for the daughter's birthday celebration, requesting about 20 million Naira for Imelda birthday celebration else she will deny him access to their daughter.

Politics / Re: Rivers ALGON Reject Emolument And Allowances From Fubara's CTC Chairmen by TYCO77: 1:41pm On Jun 21

DezMayorz:
Rivers State Crisis: ALGON welcomes probe,
reject payment of emoluments and
allowances.

- Refers Gov. Fubara’s CTC chairmen as usurpers.

- Tells supporters to remain calm.

Dez Mayorz News.

The Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Rivers State Chapter have reacted to the Rivers State Government under the leadership of His
Excellency, Sir Siminialayi Fubara, GSSRS, over the purportedly appointed and sworn-in Care-
Taker Committees to take over the 23 Local Government Councils of Rivers State.

Where the governor directed the probe of Local Govermment Accounts and the immediate payment
of outstanding emoluments and allowances to all democratically elected political office
holders in the Local Government Areas.

The ALGON through the press statement signed by Sir Allwell Ihunda DSSRS, categorically reject the planned payment of our emoluments and
allowances by those they refer as usurpers who claim to be Care-Taker Committees for Local
Governments in Rivers State.

ALGON said not only because Care-Taker Committees are
unconstitutional, unlawful and unknown to the Rivers State Local Government Law but
also because the matter of the expiration or otherwise of our tenure/term of office as
democratically elected Local Government Chairmen in the subject matter is a pending
litigation before the Courts and therefore subjudice.

They said they will not accept the payment of outstanding emoluments and allowances as
directed by the Governor of Rivers State until such a time when the Courts have considered
and resolved the legal issues involved between us and the Governor of Rivers State.

They find it rather curious and absurd to note that the same Governor of Rivers State who has been withholding Local Government Allocations/Funds including the emoluments and
allowances of democratically elected Political Office Holders in the Local Government
Councils, is now the one readily appointing illegal Caretaker Committees, releasing funds
to them and directing them to immediately pay the outstanding emoluments and allowances
to the same democratically clected Political Offce Holders, which he had been
withholding.

‘It should by now be clear to even the visually impaired that the Governor is playing politics
with governance and is allowing his personal political interests to influence his official
conduct and decisions. This is inimical to the smooth running of the democratic process
instituted under the Nigerian Constitution and contrary to the specific oath of office which
he swore before God and Man.
The Governor who took the oath of office and swore to
uphold the law, "preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria that he will not allow his personal interest to influence his official conduct or
official decisions" and that he will "do right to all manner of people, according to law,
without fear or favour, affection or ill-swill" is now the same person impeding the smooth
running of the System of Local Government by democratically elected Local Government
Councils by withholding their funds, refusing to call for the conduct of Local Government
Elections and appointing illegal Caretaker Committees who are told to operate from
anywhere because their efforts at taking over the Council Secretariats have failed.”

Rivers ALGON okayed the further directives of the Governor of Rivers State to call for the probe of Local Government Accounts and said
such a probe will be a welcome development at this time because it will not only afford
the democratically elected Council Chairmen the opportunity of rendering accounts of their
financial dealings under the leadership of Govenor Siminialayi Fubara GSSRS but will
also enable the Governor to testify as the principal witness of the Chairmen during the probe as to his role and involvement with Local Government Funds, which he withheld.

They also called on the
various bankers of the 23 Local Government Councils of Rivers State to respect the court
process and refrain from dealing with the Caretaker
Committees.

Said they are an aberration unknown to the Constitution of Nigeria and the
Local Government Laws of Rivers State.

Fubara is a politician and so have to play politics, of course all politicians do play politics: the reason why I laugh when people complained that politicians do not abide by the rule of law or adhere to the constitution. Wake-up, these people are not constitutionalists and can not play constitutionalism as it limits and restricts their power and does not leave any scope for morality and common sense, the latter which is imperative for survival.

The immediate cause of the current conflict was the expiration of the three-year tenure of the 23 local government chairmen on Monday.

The outgoing chairmen, backed by a local government amendment law passed by the Martin Amaewhule-led House of Assembly, sought to extend their terms by six months due to the governor’s failure to conduct local government elections.

In response, Governor Fubara appointed caretaker chairmen, who were sworn in on Wednesday

My parents doesn’t know about her surgery yet. Should I tell them about it?

What's your fears? One ovary can produce fertile eggs, I think you should appreciate her for her truthfulness rather than exposing her medical condition that has nothing to do with your happiness. What about those that still conceive without womb.

NoToPile:

Depending on your families 'standard' considering the cost of feeding and ' every other thing your family needs apart from school fees then 700k is not too much.

Basically what I see here is a standard.

Is your family the rice krispies, peak milk only, expensive cereals type? No akamu once a while? (even akamu sef is costly)

Feeding is crazily expensive, all groceries are crazily expensive. Does she make fresh juices for your children etc etc. It all depends on the standard. Is the car taken everywhere instead of entering Keke sometimes? Every other thing needed for the house too is crazily expensive these days.
Do you guys subconsciously feel you need to meet up with a particular standard in the area you live?
Do you guys have to run Gen always once there's no light etc etc.

All These above are factors. And all these big big amount has little value these days. Full tank of 60liters plus is a lot of money now.

What I will advise you do is talk to her on how you guys can reduce cost, since you are feeling strained already reduce the standard a bit, so that some cash can be squeezed out, good thing you don't have toddlers your children are of the age they will understand small small, some extras can be Withdrawn. Most families are now joining heads together on how things can work finaincially these days.

I am more than certain that it is food that takes a large chunk of that amount. What we put in our mouth costs so much more these days. sad

It is well bros.

When I tell her to list out her expenses so I plan with her, she picks offence. I am really tired of the whole thing and don't know how else to approach the issue without causing too much problem. I know some men whose salaries are 250k-300k in PH, yet they are surviving.
