Politics / We Don't Take The Army Seriously Because They Have Failed To Secure The North. by Workch: 12:00am On Jun 02
How can anyone even think that this army is competent? Lol

Military personnels are been kidnapped every now and then and you think this army can crush anyone. Lol, little wonder UGM are not scared of them.

If you had a gun, will you be scared of a Niferia soldier? He's just like another untrained person with a gun.

Na gun wey no dey make some people fear them. People with guns cannot be afraid of this Nigerian army that has failed to secure the north.

They only know how to intimidate unarmed people. Lol 😂

ESN dared Buhari, a military general, na Tinubu army regime them go fear? A common civilian!?

Buhari, General could not defeat insecurities, Tinubu thinks he can. Lol.

You think everything is by force, you better learn how to resolve conflicts without force else you have another battle to deal with in the east. This army is already overstretched from every front.

As big and influential USSR was, they didn't keep agitated regions by force. It's because force is not eveything, it always does not work, instead it will keep deepening the cracks and you children will still face the same Biafra issue.

Politics / Re: The Aba Killings: What The Military Should Have Done (opinion) by Workch: 11:51pm On Jun 01
nikky5:
In the last two decades the Nigeria military has been fighting internal wars on several fronts. The battle against kidnappings, banditry and militia groups got messier in the last few years.

The recent killings of our soldiers in Aba few days ago when the terrorists declared a sit-at-home to celebrate their Biafra Day or whatever was avoidable.

Prior to that day, the IPOB had warned students sitting for the ongoing WAEC exams to remain in their houses and the schools shut. They also sent a warning to a university VC. They were trying to avoid a bloodbath.

I had expected our military to immediately respond to this threat in a show of force with battalion of soldiers and armoured tanks parading all the streets in the south East. I had expected to see the Tucano fighter jets in combat ready mode to forestall any breakdown of law and order. I remember President Olusegun Obasanjo.

These IPOB miscreants enjoy the support of the locals who cheers them whenever they go rampaging on the street on a killing spree. These evil people do not reneg on their threats or warnings to perpetrate evil. Besides, this is not the first time they have been killing our soldiers. The rate at which these terrorists kill our soldiers in the south east should have put our military on red alert that there will be a confrontation. Our military has been demystified by these IPOB because they have been killing our soldiers without any collateral damage. If the Odi treatment had been applied this nonsense would have stopped.
In my own opinion as a civilian without any military training, it's high the military prioritize the safety of their personnel in any operations. Killers of our soldiers must not go unpunished. There must be consequences for such actions that will send a strong warning to the perpetrators that their action will invite unparalleled retaliation to their community. Killing our soldiers in an unprovoked manner like must stop.
May the souls of our departed gallant soldiers rest in peace.
If you provide evdiece that IPOB did it, I will commit suicide now

Shut up, we are not fighting. But if they bring the fight, we won't fold our arms and let them kill us. It's simple.

I am not scared of Nigerian military.

We dared Buhari, a general, who's Tinubu?

Codes of attack.
Nigerian army has the same instinct of dogs.
Let them lie.
If you attack them they will come after you.
The worst mistake you can make in life is to run when they come after you.
Dogs like chasing a fleeing target.
Stand your ground they may come for peaceful dialogue the same way they are negotiating with Boko Haram.
Alternatively to avoid collateral damage if you can't withstand their firepower is to surrounded to them.
I hope it does not get there but if it does, there will be no other option than to face them. No one will run from those guys collectively

While I vehemently condemn the dastardly attack on the Nigerian army In Aba, but it's better for them to do due deligence instead of attacking innocent people. We are not scared of them, no sane person should even be scared of this unprofessional armed force. If need arises, we will defend our land with our blood like our fathers did.
Igbos are not known to be intimidated. We don't care about the gang up by other Nigerian tribes against us, if there's a need to defend ourselves, we will do it.

And yes, we will keep telling our children about the Nigerian gang up against igbo people until the country does the right thing just like our fathers did.

We are not scared of the army, you can go to a minority to tribe elsewhere and threaten them, not the igbos.

One Christian northerner and 4 South easterners. All senior NCOs.

It's not surprising because for about 3 years now, the Nigerian Armed Forces and The Police have been posting Ibo officers to the SE region over officers not from the region.

Apparently, it's a strategy to try and stop the senseless ambush killings due to the familiarity of those officers with the terrain, language, and culture, but it seems not to be working.
You are a very dumb person. There's no comment you make here that's not about tribe.

You are not being sincere..

What do Igbos want?

Fulanis or Yorubas are not the Governors in South Eastern States yet Igbos keep blaming other ethnic groups in Nigeria for their setbacks.

Alex Otti claimed Ikpeazu, former Governor of Abia State diverted billions of naira using non-existent airport.. till today, no Igbo person has written to EFCC or voiced out that Ikpeazu should return the money to Abia State coffers. Same with Obiano, Obi and others like them.

I really get pissed when I see Igbos complaining all the time.. for crying out loud, hold your Governors and politicians in South East accountable and stop disturbing our collective peace in the country. Una no dey ever allow other tribes near your politics in your 5 SE States so what is the problem. Kilode!
Divide the country If you re not comfortable with it

This is because Nigerian government will not do the right thing by allowing total healing.
Biafra war did not end in 1970, it has never ended. And this is obvious.

You cannot subdue an ideology, it's impossible and that's why the Biafra issue will linger. You have to address real issues and not with propaganda.
Biafra is a deeply rooted ideology and as long as the unfairness and injustice continues, you will deal with it for life.

Igbos are not cowards that will cower at your threats. To be honest, it's either you address the injustice, split the nation or deal with the Biafra thing.
