Politics / Re: Senate Enabling Executive Recklessness With Ndume’s Removal As Chief Whip- Atiku by zkm3: 7:01am On Jul 19
Atiku, Ali Ndume could not control himself. His outburst was more of an ego thing than altruism. He was not removed from the senate; he was removed as a leader in the senate as he had no maturity for that position.

This was what we expected from you when you were asked to ask Iyorchia Ayu to resign when he could not control himself and publicly proved he was a biased party chairman. Had you won, you'd have given him a bigger position like SGF, but were you thinking far and deep?

Politics / Re: Ndume: APC Might Be Repeating The Same Mistakes PDP Made - Bashir Ahmad by zkm3: 6:43am On Jul 19
Ali Ndume openly accused the president of being shielded when it was a lie.

He then said he'd never go through the backdoor to see the president.

Some northern senators have openly lied against the president, like Senator Abdul Ningi who lied that the president was implementing a budget that was not passed by the national assembly; Senator Kawu Sumaila who lied that Tinubu's budget passed by the national assembly (including him) was anti-north. As every lie is debunked, a new lie emerges. The latest lie was by Ali ndume, who has been controversial since he came to public consciousness.

They are like a coven, and they want Tinubu to bow to their wishes or they'd make his administration difficult.

My advise to northern senators: Buhari was there for 8 years, where were you? Allow Tinubu to govern. By 2027, vote him out and vote in people you can dictate to. National interest cannot be above your petty individual interests.

For President Tinubu. I know you have your style of leadership which is to be accommodating of diverse opinions and leanings. Such liberalism would only lead to people sitting on your head and messing you up because they think you are a lapdog. Recall former President Jonathan was too liberal and it didn't end well. President Tinubu, you are the president of Nigeria. Use your powers to work for the good of Nigerians. Use the media to expose these anti-progress northern senators. Former President Obasanjo had to make a broadcast to expose corruption in the senate which ruined many senators' careers. Now is the time for you to start doing it. Ali Ndume got his daughter and son in-law into CBN and he is still sitting in the senate? Many of us ran away from Nigeria when we could not find jobs because we had no connections like Ali Ndume.

Then there is a problem I also have outside politics. Several times, we hear of seizures of truckloads of illegally mined minerals, stolen crude, and few days ago, the CDS complained that when foreigners arrested for illegal mining are caught, they claim connections to Nigerian elites who always get them released. That was incriminating. We'd like to know the Nigerian elites the CDS cannot arrest and lock up. Anyone doing illegal mining must be arrested for terrorism because such things are economic terrorism. No one must be protected.

President Tinubu, you have until next year to get things right. 2026 is election preparation year and it is very intense as you know.

Many of us staked our reputation, relationships and swore on you performing.

Do not disappoint us.

It is quite disturbing that the Senate is wasting time on useless bills. I even heard of Southeast Development Commission Bill, Northeast Development Commission Bill, Southsouth Development Commission Bill and now a new bill to regulate road transport.

What is the work of FRSC, police, VIO?

It is quite disturbing!

As for the development commission bills, what are the governors doing? Do they need a commission to foster development?

These people just want to create needless bureaucracy and overbloat a disfunctional space.

As for local government elections commission bill, that bill is equally useless. Why can't INEC conduct local government elections? Very soon, there'd be a bill for food security in Nigeria.

Politics / Re: Hardship: Tinubu Not Caged, You Are Frustrated – APC Replies Ndume by zkm3: 9:17am On Jul 14
Senator Ali Ndume has been at the national assembly since 2003. He was at one time chairman of senate committee on army. This was at a time Gwoza in Borno State (the people he represented) was under siege.

What did he do with his influence?

The last time he visited an IDP camp was 5 years ago.

After shedding crocodile tears there, what did he do with his influence?

In the early days of Tinubu's administration, he sang Tinubu's praises to high heavens as he undermined Buhari to curry Tinubu's favours.

When Tinubu did not kowtow to his buttlicking, what did he do with his influence?

When Yemi Cardoso decided to exercise his powers to move some CBN departments from Abuja to Lagos for more efficiency in regulation and service delivery, Ali Ndume complained and was the arrowhead to say Tinubu was anti-north.

What did Ali ndume do with his influence? It emerged that he had used his influence to put his daughter, son-inlaw and someone else in the CBN and by moving departments from Abuja to Lagos, his minions would likely be affected.

Using his infleunce for personal gains is what he does with his influence.

Recently, he's been to Arise News, BBC Hausa, granted interviews to Daily Trust and issued media statements to whip sentiments against Tinubu. Among other things, he accused Tinubu of being detached from the sufferings of Nigeria and lied that Tinubu was not accessible, and that he wouldn't make efforts to see Tinubu.

He claimed that as senate chief whip, he couldn't see Tinubu. During the time of Buhari, no senate chief whip or senator met Buhari for official purposes without the senate president present. There is a national assembly liaison officer, and if Ndume's purpose for wanting to see the president was not one of selfish personal interest of influencing things, then anyone could see the president.

Recall that within the last 48 hours, the president made several key appointments into lucrative parastatals like Nigerian Ports Authority, Nigeria Social Investment Trust Fund, Pension Commission, Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission, National Agricultural Land Development Authority, National Agency for the Great Green Wall, the Nigeria Hydrological Services Agency, and the Code of Conduct Tribunal. The president also named a special assistant on livestock. As senate chief whip, Ali Ndume was well aware of these impending appointments and was desperately trying to meet the president to plant useless people in these key sectors. When he couldn't meet the president, he resorted to childish blackmail.

Remember also that he was senate majority leader from 2015 to 2017 before his colleagues impeached him for being a troublesome person. He also contested to lead the senate twice and was not trusted with the position by his colleagues.

If his colleagues who knew him better could not trust him to lead them, why should the rest of us trust that his motives are driven by altruistic interests?

President Tinubu, DO NOT GIVE ALI NDUME AUDIENCE. Infact, let the media team in the presidency ignore Ali Ndume's rantings. He is driven by his greed, selfishness and power mongering.

The narrator narrated the story as if he/she was with them through out

Most stories like this follow the same pattern: of the woman or man convulsing before collapsing.

The journalist obviously embellished the story based on the accounts from the hotel staff, the police, the man's confession and the journalist's imagination of what happened. The "source" the journalist referred to is the journalist.

So he enjoyed her body, but once she gave up, he did not even honour her body.

He didn't kill her, but running away has ruined things for him.

Assuming he wasn't caught, how could he have been able to live with his conscience, knowing the woman died on top of or beneath him while he was pounding her to climax?

As for those who expend too much energy on sex; sex is like infinity, no matter how much you race, you won't get to the end. Go slowly and conserve your energy for future sex or other things. No one successfuly competed against infinity and defeated it.

May the soul of the woman journey safely to paradise. Amen.

Shame.

Many aspiring abroadians do not know that abroad is filled with uncertainty.

Many marriages have been strained because of relocation. There was the case of a married man whose wife abandoned him because he could not provide after relocating abroad. He died in his tent in a biting cold during winter.

Only a numbskull would sell his child for relocation purposes. There is no guarantee of success after relocation. Even the local citizens are struggling to survive, then a foreigner thinks he is special because he is a foreigner. Just imagine.

If you are doing well in Nigeria, stay put, make money and send your children abroad to school. It is easier for your children to climb than it is for you at middle age.

You'd pay taxes. Some would argue that the taxes are working for the people. Well, I pay taxes that don't even apply to me. I paid unemployment tax, but when I became unemployed, I was denied unemployment benefits, despite paying for it. I cannot owe my landlord, they'd report me to the justice system which would create a negative record for me for credit, and applying for certain things.

I cannot speed anyhow or drive nonsense, I'd receive a fine. All roads are tolled, and if you don't pay, you can't pass. You must declare all your earnings annually, and if you hide an earning, and they find out, you'd receive a heavy fine. I received a fine that is the equivalent of 2.472 million naira in today's naira for making a mistake in my tax declaration. It took me 4 months of pain to pay that fine.

Food is outrageously expensive and when it is organic, it is over the roof. Food that can potentially hamper one's health are affordable.

Then loneliness is something else. Many have gotten into trouble for being unable to deal with it.

Security is not always top notch, but the media kills most of the stories in order to paint their country as being on top of things.

But roads are good, schools are working, transport is mostly okay, but everything comes at a heavy price.

Politics / Re: Nigeria-EU Deal Sparks False Claims Over LGBT Rights - BBC by zkm3: 6:25am On Jul 12
Reno Omokri had argued that the initial lie that it included LGBTQ rights was promoted by a sore Obidient. A Daily Trust journalist lifted it and published it without reading the report.

Inibehe Effiong came out to publicly claim that there was no way the agreement could not have contained protecting LGBTQ rights. A document he had not read was what he made comments on.

The NBA issued a statement to support the agreement and explicitly stated that it did not contain LGBTQ rights.

Premium Times journalists did their own independent research and said the agreement had no LGBTQ rights.

Daily Trust came out and instead of apologizing, they issued an unecessarily wordy statement that showed that they deliberately planted the story to whip up sentiments against the Tinubu administration.

Elsewhere, the journalist, his line editor, the head of research and the head of legal services would be in the labour market for fabricating news to deceive the public. Elsewhere, Inibehe Effiong would have been removed from committees that cater to the needs of the public and no reputable media house would invite him to talk on any issue.

While emotions blind many of us and we jump on the bandwagon, we must also verify things before we destroy people. That is how the Aluu 4 were lynched and not one person ever asked what they stole; they just believed the accusation against them.

Finally, I wish to ask those who hate LGBTQ: if you are in an accident and you need an emergency surgeon, will you ask the surgeon if he is LGBTQ? Will you ask the pilot flying you if he is LGBTQ? Will you ask the chef preparing your meal in a restaurant if he is LGBTQ? Will you ask your interviewer in an IOC if he is LGBTQ? Will you ask someone who wants to give you a multimillion naira contract if he is LGBTQ? If he is LGBTQ, will you reject the job? I raise this last point because I was viciously e-lynched yesterday on Nairaland for asking people to explain how LGBTQ affected their lives. None of them could explain beyond it ruins the moral fabric of society.

Many of them use Apple products; the Apple CEO is gay. Stop using his company's products. I don't use them, not because of his sexuality, but because I am not a fan of Apple products.

Politics / Re: Uju Kennedy Takes Kafilat, Arise TV To Court For Defamation by zkm3: 12:08am On Jul 12
Mrs Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye and most people in the public space, including Toyin Abraham.

You must learn how to manage your public image. It is not everything said against you that you must respond to or defend. In most cases, people's minds are already made up and you frantically defending yourself would only spoil things for you.

I listened to one woman on "Your View" in TVC yesterday, and I gained something from her. She said most people are traumatized and project their trauma to others. Don't allow yourself to be an outlet for people's mental illnesses.

Also learn to control yourself in public. Just ignore accusations especially when they are not true. And if it is extreme, simply go to court to clear your name. Look at Fashola who was accused of writing judgement for judges in a presidential election petition. He simply sued. Look at Betta Edu; when the case started, her media manager went to the press to admit that public money was payable to private accounts to do public work. Everything went downhill from there. Either he kept quiet or do damage control by finding out the best way to manage the scandal.

Dear Minister Kennedy-Ohanenye, you are mostly in the news for the wrong reasons. It is not good for your image. You need someone to polish your image. That person is to help you carry yourself, prepare you to handle the press and help you avoid scandals. There are PR agencies doing this work. Many footballers used them.

Lastly, most public officials can borrow a leaf from Mike Adenuga, Jim Ovia, Sam Amuka, Genevieve Nnaji, Mercy Johnson, Aliko Dangote, and the IG of Police. Because of where you are, people will push your buttons. Never fall for the trap.

Perception matters.

As for the other TV station, their business model is controversy and propaganda. They are not known for news like Channels TV and TVC. They are an interview-based station. For some of us in the media space, some of these things they do are to force you public officials to pay heavily for them to give you positive press coverage by killing stories that may potentially harm you.

Do you wonder why they never gave negative press to Godwin Emefiele when he was committing atrocities against the naira, when he was arrested and his trial? They have not invited one guest to analyze Emefiele's saga.

Just ignore that TV station.

Two men or two women decide to swing one way in their privacy, how does it affect you? Someone says he or she is bi, why is it a problem? Someone is confused about their gender, why does it concern you?

Why not do your own and let them do their own and everyone is happy?

LGBTQ are human beings and have rights to life, love, employment, association, security and the same human rights every human being has. How has their decision to be LGBTQ affected anyone? If you are uncomfortable with their choice, stay away from them or relate with them as human beings that they fundamentally are.

What rights do LGBTQ have that are strange? If they want to marry, they can go to countries where such things are allowed. If they want to adopt children, they can be refused if extant laws do not permit it. Infact, by being LGBTQ, they already forfeit the rights to have children and must not force the system to give them those rights.

So those shouting anti-LGBTQ rights, be bold to explain those rights to us and how they harm you.

I am against teaching children LGBTQ in schools, I am against forcing everyone to jump on the LGBTQ train. I am against moral policing of LGBTQ if other societal ills cannot be policed with the same level of hatred.

The way those who attack LGBTQ, why don't they attack bad governance, social corruption like politicians pocketing money meant for all of us, governors appointing local government caretaker chairmen as if those ones are their employees, governors disrespecting Supreme Court judgements, civil servants corruptly drawing salaries while abroad, Nigerians supporting political criminals because they get crumbs from their loots? Are those issues less volatile than LGBTQ?

LGBTQ too need to stop fighting everyone as if there is supposed to be a winner. let them do their things in their privacy and respect other people who are not LGBTQ.

DISCLAIMER: I am not LGBTQ or pro-LGBTQ; I am pro-humanity, pro-choice and pro-commonsense. Having worked with someone with L, my conclusion is that human beings are what they are. A bad person remains a bad person irrespective of sexual orientation, while a good person remains a good person irrespective of his orientation. Politics / Re: Only Peter Obi Can Save Nigeria – Labour Party, Ebonyi State by zkm3: 6:24am On Jul 08
How?

How did he save Anambra State?

He had 8 years to turn Anambra State around:

(1) By how much did he raise internally generated revenue in Anambra State?
(2) Anambra is the state of Nnewi; how did Peter Obi turn Nnewi into an industrial hub?
(3) What is Obi's record on infrastructure and human capital development?
(4) How many new schools did he build?
(5) By how much did he improve employment in Anambra State?

Peter Obi has been refurbished that people now assign messianic tendencies to him. The history does not favour him.

Peter Obi could not lead an effective campaign especially campaigning in areas he was not strong. Instead, he focused on Lagos and Abuja, forgetting Niger, Zamfara, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Borno, Jigawa, Oyo, Ogun, Ekiti, Ondo, Osun, Bauchi, Sokoto, and Akwa Ibom are part of Nigeria. Naysayers insist by winning Lagos and Abuja, those states didn't matter.

Peter Obi has not shown the ability for conflict resolution, especially with the crisis in his Labour Party where a rogue national party chairman cannot be checked.

As for someone to save Nigeria: NO ONE CAN SAVE NIGERIA. Nigeria can be saved by all of us.

How?

You see that money you want to collect from your fellow citizens before you do the job you are paid for? Don't collect it. You collecting salaries without doing the work or after relocating, you are worse than the politicians. You seilling jobs to fellow citizens, you are part of the problem. You see that your brother doing sit at home and killing innocent people? Report him. You see that your friend doing terrorism and kidnapping, report him to the authorities. You see that your uncle stealing funds and you are hailing him? You are part of the problem. You see that senator using constituency funds to make himself and his biatches happy, hold him to account. You see that governor killing local government administration and holding local government funds, challenge them. You see that pastor collecting your tithe while you go hungry? Use your tithe to feed yourself and your family, let the pastor work himself to feed himself and his family. You see that governor refusing to pay salaries or provide healthcare, put pressure on him. Instead of fighting and projecting unrealistic nonsense towards 2027, use your numbers to hold those there today to account.

In 2015, we saw something in Bauchi State. Voters trekked with ballot papers to the state capital to prevent results from being changed. The governor lost his seat and the sitting president lost the state.

The people have power, but they are too afraid to realize how much of it they have.

PS: Throughout the campaign period, neither Peter Obi nor Datti Baba-Ahmed ever spoke of concrete solutions. Their zingers were "consumption to production", "a new Nigeria is POssible". The worst was when Datti Baba-Ahmed was asked about specific plans to tackle insecurity by Seun Okinbaloye and his response after three nudges from Seun was: "we do, take it from me, we do". The Peter Obi movement was a crystallization of anger and mob populism that had no foundation for development. It was a danger to Nigeria's cohesion. If Obi is serious, he needs to start coming up with a plan so he can speak like a sensible person towards 2027.

Unpopular opinion.

So what if LGBTQ rights are protected?

That they chose to be LGBTQ does not stop them from being human beings enjoying the benefits other people ought to enjoy because they are human beings.

Matters of sexuality ought to be private, but the noise about who is gay or straight is deafening. Why can't those doing LGBTQ do it in their privacy and those doing non-LGBTQ do it in their privacy?

In my view, we have bigger issues to deal with than LGBTQ.

Like I mentioned elsewhere, how come those accusing FG of LGBTQ have not been specific about exactly how FG is promoting LGBTQ? They just made blanket allegations and learned people run with it.

I am not pro-LGBTQ nor am I one. But their private rights as individuals must be respected. This means that fishing them put and killing them must stop. LQBTQ must also stop deceiving people; they must not marry non-LGBTQ by telling them lies while doing their LGBTQ things. They must also not force others to join their LGBTQ crew.

Find what works for you and stick with it.

Irrespective of your tribe, religion, sexuality or how you are, I don't care! My standard for judging a human being revolves around: equity, justice, fairness, kindness and respect to all human beings!

I worked with a lesbian, an atheist and an Olumba Olumba. They were the best human beings in terms of kindness, equity and fairness. That is what matters. Not what you do with your private parts.

Family / Re: A Plea To Nigerians Abroad. by zkm3: 6:29am On Jul 02
Those abroad also need help.

Folks in Nigeria need to be considerate.

Some abroad live paycheck to paycheck, and those in Nigeria are not aware of the scarifices they make to send them money.

Folks in Nigeria need to ask for funds when they really need it; not because "I wan chop your money". Also, they need to give advanced notice. You cannot suddenly ask someone abroad for money for matters as rent and school fees thinking he has money lying somewhere and waiting for you to ask.

Many of them budget, and if someone is not within a budget, he cannot be squeezed in just like that.

And when the abroadian tells you things are tight, reach out to him/her to offer comfort once in a while. It is unhelpful for a person to think you only remember him when you want to bill him.

Many Nigerians make a list of people they bill on a monthly basis. Even if you give them little, they express shameless ingratitude.

Finally, many in Nigeria are doing better than those abroad. The family support system they have in Nigeria is something that is a treasure abroad. It is beacuse of this vacuum that some people become gay or join bad gangs: they need company.

Going forward, stop putting pressure on abroadians. You see that your 25k bill, he'd need to spend ten times that for the same purpose where he is.

Family / Re: Kogi Born Journalist Divorces After 37 Years In Marriage by zkm3: 5:12am On Jun 22
Sad.

It is wrong to say the dead is not aware of what happens. They actually are.

In his book, "Life after Life", Raymond Moody explored those who were pronounced clinically dead and came back to life. All of them had a common consensus: they were conscious of their environment and could see everything, including as doctors worked hard to keep them alive. The only problem was that they could not be heard or seen as they were in another level of consciousness.

As for the man's story. I think many people are never friends before and during marriage. Marriages are mostly transactional. It can be for financial security or children. Once the financial source dries up and children move out, the realities confront the couple.

To aspiring couples, be friends with that man or woman. Be their gossip partner. Defend their honour behind you. I knew a couple married for 43 years. When the man died, the woman did not believe it. She kissed his body, caressed him, cried on him and asked him to come back. You'd also recall Ras Kimono's wife who passed away with a year of his demise, and Stephen Keshi who could not live with the grief of his wife's passing.

True love exists. Happy are those who find it. Blessed are those who nurture it.

Travel / Re: Nigerian Family Gets Deported From UK After Reporting Each Other (Vid) by zkm3: 12:59pm On Jun 21
Nice.

It was in the same UK some policemen brought a translator to a white garment church to plead with women to stop reporting their husbands to the police.

What is so hard in living peacefully and trying not to hurt one another?

As for me, I take my time before relationships. Any woman I am with is a woman I cannot hurt or afford to hurt in anyway. We are not in a relationship to compete with one another, but to grow each other and grow as one. If she doesn't resonate in the same frequency, we will not be together.

These days, you find people competing on who cheats more, who hides better and who is ahead of the other person.

Who are you deceiving?
