If you are yoruba, just leave dis forum cos like i said before, the nigerian civil war was btw the northern n d eastern regions. U people were/are too weak to be involved. See how dey are talking like dey know their stand in dis country, Una comments above have a lot of fibre, no facts.
How can sb say Awolowo didnt put igbos on 20pounds stuff? He was doing those tnz so dat he will be compensated by d abokis, yet dey dissappointed him. All dese tnz are/were well documented n ma grand dad is stl alive to tell d story. See, dis topic is not a case of the usual NL catfights.
U ppl shd summon courage n confront d north for once, if not den lleave d igbos, cos we are not evn thinking abt u guys.
Shameful dat a region once devastated is beta dan yours even without much govt presence.
How can sb tell me d war has ended when d u ppl also opened ur mouths to say we are marginalised. Inshort......... All cowards shd go to bed. When its time for war, u start lookin for d people with larger arsenal to join..

o go, o fi enu hora. Some people are just too funny. Let me even ask a question, if Biafra had won that war, will the igbos have come back for their property in the SW? At least Biafra would have been a country. Sometimes i wonder if there is any difference between the almajiris and these brainwashed bigots on here. People should be objective and seek a better future rather than throwing hell about the past.

Andre Uweh: You earlier asked if Ojukwu consulted non Igbo people before declaring Biafra. The aswer I gave is yes because they had their representatives at Enugu and those men represented their views. So they were consulted. I went further to let you know that they were also enlisted in the militias that were formed in Nov 67. That further shows you that they like their Igbo counterparts were ready to defend their new nation. Apart from the militias, they were also in the regular army especially the 51st and 53 brigades.

That is NOT true! It is on record that the leaders you speak about were hand picked and "safe" as far as ojuku and bjafra were concerned. It's like saying when the House of Rep members vote to increase their allowances or grant unto themselves excess favors, it is with the EXPRESS permission of the people they represent. Again, if so why did those minorities join up with the Nigerian army to ensure a comprehensive and total defeat of ojuku and baiafara??

What fat account? You mean during the civil war, iboz left their accounts in Nigeria and saved even more money and left empty handed to Biafra? Or they were able to live in Biafra but had such good business in the 30 months, they travelled back and forth Nigeria to save more money? No need for you to be coy or stupi.d, one sure reason why any national economy, banking, etc is adversely affected is war. Think again and you see how you betray your ignorance here.

Boy stop writing about Biafra which you know nothing of neither do you come from the area called Biafra. FYI, the bravest minories all fought on the Biafran side. Majors Adigio, Sokei and Col Effiong are some of the brave soldiers who fought on the Biafran side. Though there were some cowards who left Biafra to fight on the enemy side, but they are just few to comment about them.
The food that fed the Biafran troops that defended Calabar until it fell were food donated by natives. This natives are not Igbo.
Biafra was made up of so many divisions and all the divisions contributed able bodied men to the war effort until Biafra collapsed. If there representatives were not in Biafran govt, how on earth will they commit their warriors to fight for Biafra.
You guys only know of Biafra through nairaland and should not make comments about what you know not.

Since 2010 have I stopped commenting about Biafra. But your silly brothers chat a lot of crap that provokes one unto those sad issues. Is it possible some of those who left were NOT cowards but believed in Nigeria or just did not believe in Ojukwu ??
We on the Nigeria side do NOT call Banjo a coward. Impotent bitterness is what I see on this thread.......,.,. forty three years later.
As long as we are alive we will NEVER allow your version of events to prevail so you either roll the dice again or fall in line. Every thing else is just breezy bombastic bluster.
Nigeria is stronger than before and willing to crush rabble rousing suicidal dissidents wherever they arise.
Bravery was an admirable trait in ancient jousts but quite inconsequential in modern warfare. In fact it can often look like suicidality. If the US chooses to use FEMALE ONLY SOLDIERS they will still subdue Nigeria in a matter of weeks.
Let us eschew talk of bravery and focus on the lack of materiel, logistics or relevant resources that meant from day one Biafra was a stillbirth midwifed by an immature young man who was prepared to play cynical games with the lives of his people

Those who whine about Biafra are not Ndigbo but mostly Yorubas. Nairaland was established by a Yorubaman and Yorubas and their friends where the actual ones whining about Biafra until Ndigbo arrived at the scene. Check out nairaland of 2005/6 and confirm what am saying here.
You people started the Biafran story here and till date still chat about it. Ndigbo have moved on while you are still laid back by Biafra. What a shame.

You were not here in 2005-2006. I was here in 2006 and bombarded with Ibo whining day and night on Biafra

Most Yorubas dont care about Biafra ut the Ibos whining and sucking us into it calling us cowards, insulting Awolowo and other Yoruba leaders

Most people who knew me on this firum knew I didnt engage in any Biafra argument until 2011 when Ibo noise became deafening

You should go out more and learn about me: I am not one who learned about biafra on NL. Now to your phoney post: it's funny and really bewildering that you think the "brave" minorities were the one that fought on biafara side but the "cowards" opted to defend their lands, history and country by fighting for Nigeria - the clear victors and the side with a true claim to the war narrative. How can the people who pummelled iboland, baifara and iboes into submission be the cowards but the people (ibos) who lost woefully, so much so they are still crying till 43 years be the cowards? So badly was the beating that ojuku killed to young children biafrans while trying to escape with 3 000 pounds of cargo, dressed like a woman and fled like a REAL coward. Or do you have a better example of cowardice? A man who sacrificed 3 M, urged and forced others to sacrifice but kept his own family and escaped with all the remaining stolen wealth of Nigeria and people.

Who is silly? Your brothers? So if iboz make up all kinds of lies and stories without a dot of evidence, it is OKAY. However, if the people you lie about respond setting the records straight with strong, hard, irrefutable evidence for example 1 Adekunle >> ojukwu, so much so ojukwu fled for 13 years; this is a FACT. if all igbo people perish tomorrow in a massive earthquake(god forbid), the world and nigeria will still exist. few people will blink an eye. the world DOES NOT revolve around you.

I know i'm speaking to deaf ears. carry on with your grandiose illusions that go your tribe into trouble in the first place. imagine posting stupid pictures on bread loafs to proove "superiority" to other tribes. I laugh in gangnam style.

Ndigbo have moved on while you are still laid back by Biafra. What a shame.

yea. that's why half of active igbo persons on this website brings up Biafra in every other sentence they make. biafra this biafra that. "I am a victim' this, 'i am a victim' that. I own 80% of lagos and Abuja this. I am superior to all other tribes in Nigeria that. Yoruba this, oily Yoruba that. barbaric northerner this, backward nigeria that. blah blah blah.....
igbo tribe is just one more thing nigeria has to suffer and deal with. but it's ok. we manage with you folks alright grin
