Travel / Re: Anyone @ Nig.immig Service Abj Who Can Help With Speedy Passport Reissue? by 2gd: 11:56pm On May 14, 2010
Justwise, before u condemn,it's better to ask questions.Ok?

Do you know what I have gone through trying to process this thing in an apparently normal  way.Do you know if I really need this thing urgently?Do you know how frustrated those people can make u if u don't part with hard earned cash? they can make u wait for weeks.months even.I have just finished waiting for 3weeks to get it done in lag(and i have been travelling to lag all this while because of this passport), I didn't give any one  in lag any money(I WAS DOING GOODY GOODY TWO SHOES.I AM NOW WISER BRO, ), From Lag, they now told me to go to abj. i dont have family in abj.no where to stay.
how much will hotel cost me? what about transport within Abuja?transport from southwest to abj.transport back home, Please THINK, I will not insult you and join the faceless nairalanders who just enjoy criticizing and insulting people. It''s really childish.and just in case u have more comments to add.as in more insults, I am not even gonna reply you, so dont waste your time.
Plus i am not working, so no money to throw around.
I hate corruption.with a passion.
I am also starting to realize that if u don't play according to some people's tunes, u will suffer in this country. As in , really suffer.

A very good way to advocate your DISLIKE for corruption is to go and meet all those policemen on the road who collect bribes  from bus drivers and tell each one of them the exact same thing you told me, Let us see whether the courage you show on nairaland can be used in your day to day life.We need people like you in Nigeria, and not just on FACELESS nairaland. Please run for a political office.I will vote for you(and I am not being sarcastic) only if you are courageous enough to go against the norms in Nigeria. But just be ready to be blackmailed, or even threatened to be killed.I have served in a political position in school where I was handling money and I was threatened to be attacked if I didn't release money into '
the wrong hands' .But by the grace of God, i did not succumb to their pressures and I am reaping the benefits today.A good name. But after that experience, I said I WILL NEVER GO INTO NIGERIAN POLITICS OR LEADERSHIP,

So, please transfer your criticism into the real world around you , Ok, MAKE POSITIVE change since you are so concerned, Just don't do it on nairaland and feel u have done something special.

@ the person who posted his/her details,I'll give you a call. Thanks.

@femifluks.

we have much more in common than u can imagine,
Nairaland doesnt have facilities for private messages.I wanted to tell u some stuff.

I also have an error o.From my findings i have to travel to abuja, How annoying is that?

During my ssce i as told my midle name was too long. so i had to chose a shorter name. i used my oriki.

so now, my birth cert and prim school cert have my original name and middle name.
my ssce and all certs after, have my name and my oriki,

so therefore when making my passport, i decided to put all d names dia.so no one will say i am bringin a fake birth cert, or my ssce cert doesnt belong to me,
Recently i discovered the mistake in my middle name on my passport,
am so annoyed, and Hopks time is comin soon, u get my drift?

with what ppl are saying now about if u have a difft names it means u are a difft person.does that mean one cannot travel again?in my life? cos there is no way i can get anoda birth certificate, or another prim school cert? d whole thin don tire me sef.

HI NETHACKER E.T.C.,

Must the bank statement for a masters of 2 years have tje total amount needed for 2 years before one can be issued a visa?
Secondly I just notice today , that there was an error on my e-passport.I just got the passport last year and just kept it inside one folder.Today I looked at it and discovered that my middle name was misspelled.
Would it pose any problems for me at the embassy or anywhere else?Who knows how i can get the error corrected. It was issued in Jos, but I have let Jos now,

If a masters program is 2 years, do I have to 'show' the money for tuition and living expenses for the 2 years or only show that I can afford 1 year(My sponsor doesnt have access to funds for 2 years presently)

There are a lot of things happening in Nigeria that I believe are not what they seem to be on the surface, There just may be bigger pic than the masses can see, could all this be a master plan for 'something

Nothing seems as it appears, When CBN starts acting like Over-Lord
or Banks and starts issuing all kinds of rules, you have to start thinking what is going on,
The is a wider picture here and its bigger than just issuing some rules for Banks,

The 3 Pillars to control a society is -

1 - Food

2-  Energy

3 - Finance

With food you control People

with energy ie oil, gas etc you control the Economy

with Finance you control every form of Transaction in a nation with ends in Domination,

Lets think deeper,  i gonna do some more research in what happening in the banking sector in Nigeria

I am beginning to suspect this whole Jos thing is a script pre-written by some politicians, With the info we are getting, about the people who are intending to contest in 2011, it may just be that this person is masterminding everything and is playing a chess game with this country. The person I think mya be involved(i may be wrong, just speculating) is the one behind the creation f the jos north lga-which is the root of the crisis-,

Business / Re: Which Bank Is The Most Customer Friendly In Nigeria? by 2gd: 8:35pm On Mar 21, 2008
quote from Akintosho:my friend 2gd, may be your account is very small (like N200). that is y they did not treat u well. inter is very good joooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

@ Akintosho, Are you trying to say that people who have '200' naira should be treated with less respect than a customer with 5 billion?
Or that a '200' naira customer who was given worn and mutilated notes can only change them if he/she can bring in a fixed deposit customer for the bank?
For your info, my dear` Akintosho, a 'very good' organization treats ALL customers with respect, regardless of the net worth of the customer, TAKES CUSTOMER(all customers) COMPLAINTS VERY SERIOUSLY(not with a LACKADAISICAL attitude like the guy i complained to) and apologises to the offended customer while looking for solutions to that customer's problem, and most importantly , DOES NOT TRY TO MANIPULATE THE CUSTOMER (like telling a disappointed customer that u will only listen to his/her complaints if he/she can do something that obviously benefits only u).
U urself , imagine that you go to a restaurant and order food for u and ur date; your food is brought to you and u discover that it's rotten.Imagine that u hate complaining to people and are very tolerant, but u would just like the manager/waitress to know that u were not given ur money's worth. U call the waitress/manager and what does she tell u: oHi'm so busy right now, why dont u help me pass these our flyers round lagos and bring me 40 customers ,then
i'll be able to listen to what u have to say, WHAT Would u do? would u say it's because u bought only 200 naira worth of food that u deserve that kind of treatment(obviously the man who bought 4k worth of rotten food deserves to be treated well abi? afterall na im bring beta money come)?Or would u go into a fit and curse the people involved? Maybe u would silently pick up ur bags and leave , determined never again to step into that restaurant and then, go to warn all ur loved ones not to make the same mistake u made, patronizing the SHITTY/CRAPPY restaurant,

Just 4 ur info, my acct has more than 200 naira wink lol
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Bank Phb Test Result Of Last Fiday by 2gd: 10:22pm On Mar 12, 2008
@GOLDGEMINI:
I got this from someone's post on naija hot jobs website, there's a list of formats for all the bank tests, all the best in ur test.

BANK PHB ( http://www.bankphb.com/hd/mainsite.asp )
I think the test is administered by Leading Edge Consult and it is basically a combination test comprising about 70 questions on different test areas: Verbal, Synonyms, Antonyms, Word analogies, Basic arithmetic, Shape comparisons, Mirror images of wall clocks & other stuffs. There are no options in many of the questions.I think the time is 50 mins or 1hr.I can't remember exactly.
Bank Phb test is very difficult. The good thing about it is that cut off mark is as low as 30%.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Zenith Corpers Test by 2gd: 10:00pm On Mar 12, 2008

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANYYYYYYYYY questions, they gave us one BIG booklet like that, shocked(fear catch me sef-the thing resemble small textbook), i sha did my best, couldnt finish, but I tried my best. smiley
All the best to everyone oh, one hint, please sleep well before going for the test, u don't want to be like me , who didnt get good sleep and was cranky and foggy-minded for the better part of today(had to take B-complex before leaving my house so that i could have a better mental performance, Vit b improves nerve transmission)

here's the one for zenith, i wish u all d best!

ZENITH BANK ( http://www.zenithbank.com/careers.cfm )
the format is thus: Numerical Reasoning, Comprehension, Sentence Correction and Critical Reasoning. There are 100 questions and 2 hours to finish up. If you can get Barrons foreign GMat. They dub their questions from foreign GMat. Both the comprehension, critical reasoning, and the rest. The questions will be very voluminous and you have to read fast.
TV/Movies / Re: Princess Tyra by 2gd: 7:26pm On Mar 01, 2008
I have watched it. I think it's ok really. I just started watching ghanian movies this year.pretty cool movies. I like their costumes and; They have nice houses i must say.
But e be like say na only 5 actors/actresses them get. L.M.A.O.
If Van vicker is not chasing Nadia buari in one movie, nadia is chasing van in another(beyonce the president's daughter),
Van's mom in Beyonce the president's daughter is Nadia's mom in another,
Nadia's rival in Beyonce the, is Nadia's sister in another movie

(I dont know all the names of the movies but, it's the same set of faces we see.anyway, it's not toO bad to keep on seeing van and nadia sha, they're both really cute,
But they're good at acting sha, pretty convincing.
though i may not be able to say so for the lead actress of princess tyra.she can definitely do better.her lines sounded so mechanical, devoid of emotions , like she was just reading her lines,
Business / Re: Which Bank Is The Most Customer Friendly In Nigeria? by 2gd: 6:55pm On Mar 01, 2008
When I saw the topic, I thought ,' I may not know the best but from my experience so far,I know the worst!', only for me to open the page and discover that my bank -which has been annoying me for some months now- was actually voted most customer friendly,
BULLLLLLLLLLLLLDUNG!!
INTERCONTINENTAL KOH! KONTINENTA INTER NI!
I use three banks. INTERCONTINENTAL IS BY FAR THE WORST(when it comes to customer care), I WILL SAY THAT AGAIN AND AGAIN(Well until i see another one worthy of the award)
it's all hype my friends,
i have tasted the shitty services they rendered to me especially toward the end of last year,
the story is too long! i will not bore u with all but I'll give u just one experience
Last x mas I was in lag and went to the 'CUSTOMER FRIENDLY BANK; imagine them giving me mutilated (and I mean torn -reject-notes with big holes in the middle that cello tape cant salvage, there were about 10 of such 500 naira notes)notes in a lagos brancha(agidingbi to be precise).I didn't know till I got home ,(Ogun state)I couldn't go back to Agidingbi .I sent an 8 page text to complain, no reply.
I went to the branch here to do some things and the banker there was trying to convince me to do some transactions with him-for his own good obviously- and I just mentioned casually that I haven't been too happy with their services of late, and so wasn't really interested in any more services the bank had to offer me-(the guy was obviously after his commission). The guy who was attending to me then asked what I had experienced, I started my long story of nasty experiences happening one after the other.he didn't even listen to what I was saying; he excused himself and said he'll listen later;he went to print a document. When he came back he continued trying to convince me to do a particular transaction, he said he'll listen after we hav completed the transaction he was suggesting.I agreed(succumbed).
After everything was completed I didn't bother continuing my long stories of woe.I just told him of the mutilated notes incident and I proceeded to show him one of the notes, His reply shocked me, (For goodness sake,I know that to change 'bad money' in a bank should not be that difficult-especially 'if u have connections').he said that he was very busy and that he'll promise to listen to my complaints and do something about the mutilated notes IF ONLY I CAN BRING CUSTOMERS TO OPEN A FIXED DEPOSIT ACCOUNT WITH HIM).I was irritated, but I did not show it .At that point I knew that I had to transfer my money to another bank. That was the last straw for me.
Some of u might be wondering y i dint check the money when i withdrew, Thing is i was supposed to give some people some money and i wanted it to be cashless.(cos it was a large sum).why it could not be cashless, THAT'S ANOTHER LONG Story (where i had to even travel to their head office, for nothing, wasted my time and Tfare, dont let;s even go there), the amount i withdrew would have taken a while toI count; besides from experience u dont count such in front of so many people, I blv i being discreet,u dont know when being discreet will save ur life.
If i had 10 'holey' notes with me;i cant imagine the number of 'holey' notes i'd have given out ,

BOTTOM LINE:INTERCONTINENTAL SUCKS!!!
now i'm trying to open an account with gtb, with all the good reports i'm hearing about the way the treat people i guess hope it will be worth it.
