thanks for the recommendation you gave me 2 read season 1&2. i read alll season one and two i add mopre to my knownledge, please i have some question to ask which i beg you to ans me.

1) after reading all , i tried to nail w3a and sirius together but i was only able to nail sirius but w3a didnt come up why?

2)i tried to nisl astra 2b wihic is for africa but it didnt even show read talk less becoming green ,pls why? which point shold i satart from.

3) i also read that it is possible to use two lnb for nsss7 and intel 907,is it true?

4) can i nail w6 with 90cm
5)what other satellite can 1m nail?

please all gurus i need your qiuck response

Thanks. Since I changed residence earlier this month, I dismantled my 4 dishes. (See the following link to Season 2 for pictures of my set-up: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-182209.288.html ) So for now I am not connected to any satellite until I install them again. Otherwise, I miss my “daily FTA satellite scan routine”!! The sad thing is - I have less space this time for the dishes!!

C band lnb always comes with di-electric and the price depends on the brand for instant strong c-band lnb wif di-electric in Ghana is 21.50 ghc

Strong c-band lnb with di-electric is around N1,500 while
SUPERMAX EXTENDED C-band is N1,700 here but could be less in Lagos.
Like jibrill said, they always come with a di-electric plate.

@NASHFTA, How far with your UPS power setup. Are you using in your new place? Have you improve on it like Gangsta101 did. I am interested in something similar.

A di-electric is a piece of glass cut to a square shape and used to recieve c-band circular polarity satellites.
It is inserted into the lnb throat by removing the plastic cover on the lnb and is always sold along with standard c-band lnbs like strong or supermax so there is no need to buy it seperately. You can also construct your own di-electric from a piece of transparent glass.

For knowledge on which satelites to use di-electric and which not to use, any tp of any c-band satellite ending with R or L will need a di-electric plate, e.g 3446R, 4335R, 3675L, 4223L, etc. When you see those ending with the normal V or H, these are linear polarity satellites and do not need a di-electric plate, e.g: 3478V, 3345V, 4411H, 4002H, etc.

i finally got d 12728 H tp(rts,lcf) on w3a wit about 61percent green but mbc just didn't come up. so pls,is the 11192 v 3210 still alive 4 mbc or do i need to try and finetune d 12728 tp to hit a stronger green b4 mbc pops out? pls i need ur answers. oh, how i miss my 1.8m. this 90cm w3a is frustrating. any help?

yur signal strength for 12728 is still very weak for MBCs to pop up, try and get up to about 75% on 4653X, then mbcs will surely appear afterwards

I don't know where you are located, at my own location if i get 12728h to 61% then MBC is sure, in fact i use the MBC for tracking it's the easiest and most stable for my location. Also try blind-scanning there are times when you hit green on a one tp in a decoder and another doesn't show green, blind-scanning may bring it out e.g. it may appear as 11193 in which case if you are on 11192 you may not see green

I have just  bought a Strong C-band LNB with Di-electric at Oshodi for N1500.00. Like stated b4 the Di-electric thing is just a piece of fibre glass.

Should I just throw it into the LNB throat  or is there a special way of placing it ?

If you had read my other posts on w2a I'm sure you'll find your answer there.
Yes, you can use normal MPEG2 decoders like 4653X to track w2a but you can only get the global mpeg2 feed frequency with it (3865r, 13333sr). Normally what we do is use the above tp to track with either 53X or 63X and then feed in the mpeg4 tps to scan (3927r, 8300sr and 3939r, 8800sr) for the channels. For those using daarsat decoders, loopout the lnb signal from either the 53X or 63X to your daarbox and refer to my post on page 113 for directions for recieving the mpeg4 signals.

@borderline,
depending on your lnb skew, you may have to change the poplarity of mbc tp from v to h in order to recieve it. On lyngsat it says 11192 v 3210 and same is true for most people but from my own experience mine is 11192h, 3210sr. Try that if all else fails.

I'm not sure of 1m but I know you can recieve with 1.8m.
