Imagine sef people wey wear Brazilian hair, with lipstick and wey dey use skin toning cream dey still blame the director. The personal lifestyle of so many people here criticizing this dude reflects more of an oyibo wannabe than his action. I really want to know if the criticism means most of you will do something different if given the opportunity or you simply like to blame people.
Politics / Re: Nigerian Most Corrupt Best 11 Team by Dele99: 5:10pm On Jan 20, 2012
The female football is only suffering in some departments but we still have some veterans that can win matches on their own.

1 Ndi onyiuke (can be reliable when in form)

2 Cecelia Ibru             ( a defence stalwart that has seen it all, having been in the all conquering side whose record can be matched only by
                               the current Barca squad)
3 Patricia Etteh          ( a no nosense defender whose only problem is in attack)

4 Diezani Alison           ( A deadly attacker, more lethal when operating from the left flank but can still be called upon to help in a false 9 her
versatility makes her the undisputed match winner as proven in the the ministry of solid minerals and previously in
                               transportation)

I learned Nigerians cannot even protest without turning criminal
I learned if you do not support what the mass are doing, they will try to insult you into joining and or supporting them
I learned Nigerians can boost like crazy, achieve nothing and still think they came out the winner
I learned Nigerian politicians can play Nigerians for football while the indigenous come out thinking they have an upper hand on the government.
I learned Nigerians can lie through their teeth by posting fake pics, stories, etc to support their bigotry
I learned Nigeria media isn't truthful; many articles contradicted themselves in the whole occupynigeria saga by the same mediatakeout(vanguard, saharareports, etc)
Overall I learned what I've always learned about Nigeria: It is a cess-pole country that should never have been created. cry cry cry

well said

* I learned that most Nigerians Have no mind of their own
* I learned that the average Nigeria does not know what he is agitating for e.g listening to tinubu who happens to benefit much from the subsidy
show that the protesters were ignorant
* I learned that the average Nigerian would always need a revered one to tell them what they want
* I learned that the average Nigerian is gullible and would remain so for many years
* Learned that the average politician is a conman showing how good they were by the ease through which they cleaned their past with a protest men like fani

You just gave yourself up man.

1. You dont live in Naija. You are a runaway. Jonathan was not governor for 4 years
2. GEJ should have taken charge during the Yaradua saga? Really? Was he a military general or are we no more in a democracy? You blew it guy!
3. He should just jail Boko Haram sponsors? Really? Please can you help us with the list of sponsors you have gathered and the evidence that they are sponsors? Can you forward it to SSS office please? You think they give Boko Haram and their sponsors ID cards? Some Nigerians are just too daft! Ode
4. Or maybe u live in Naija but your problem is that you are an example of our failed educational system

Guy I do agree with some of your points especially the fact that a sitting president will always take the heat. But when you see criticism coming from objective sources, you know it. No one ever faulted Gani;s criticisms because it was clear that it was genuine. The criticisms coming from ACN and the South west and from CPC are partisan and tribal! we can all see it clearly

You said it all #GBAM.most of these critics are pure tribalist that only rate performance based on ethnicity

Being anti-PDP does not necessarily mean anti- Nigeria, do we just criticize without thinking? If GEJ had supported the Formation of state Police over 90% of those in support of the state police will come against it. Disliking GEJ Should not make us hate our country as well.

no other president has been crticised like gej. all this bad belle people and their jihadist, northern-bigotric sentiments. buhari has no clue of what it takes 2 rule in d 21st century. a mman who has no idea of secondary or university education, no knowledge of computers and modern technology, a cattle rearer who thinks his bigoted ethnic sentiments will solve our issues.

Nigerians can be so sentimental! They accuse GEJ of talking from both sides of his mouth when they are worse. At some point they'll say our problems were created by our past leaders and the next moment this same leaders will be named as our past heroes. As mentioned earlier by someone do we really expect a miracle to happen overnight? cleaning up the mess heaped for over fifty years to be cleaned within one year or even one tenure(four years) expecting such miracle because we have a scapegoat show how hypocritical we are. Since independence GEJ has been given the least support by the people,he has received more criticism at such a short time than monumental failures like IBB,OBJ and so many others. It amazes me that at this 21st century Nigerians still find it difficult to see the real picture. do we need an astrologer or a philosopher or even a prophet to tell us that there is a concerted effort by  some sore losers to sabotage his efforts. Most Nigerians always see themselves as the smartest but in reality they are not, as usual he might get his deserved recognition after leaving office.

Hall of shame:

Lai mohammed==>for continuously deceiving people especially the gullible ones Having no mind of his own but would only comment on national issues by criticizing any move made by the government without suggesting a solution or alternative

ACN==> wolves in sheep clothing coming out as the solution but later proving to be same of the same with all politically elected officers claiming the glory of one person.with the tinubus, aregbesolas and a host of others living on the glory of fashola.

Boko Haram==>everyone knows about this

Nigerians in general==>always getting carried away by trivial things, leaving things that matters most to suffer. Hardly being objective. issues are judged based on the persons involved who they are, where they are from and which political party do they belong.

Fashion / Re: Why Are Black Men Expected To Keep Their Hair Short? by Dele99: 9:34am On Dec 06, 2011
Black especially Africans have more curly hair than the whites that have straight so it will take more time to grow.
The shape of the hair of most white men don't look cool when shaped as the regular blacks and lastly I also think the question is also due to inferiority complex which makes blacks especially those in Africa feel insecure about anything they do that is not copied by the whites. Do you think a question like 'why does an average white man keep a long hair? feature in an all white forum. because they feel they are always doing the best thing.

Ojukwu is dead and so he deserves to be buried honorably. He was loved by his people even when others see him differently. Personally I like his courage for fighting for what he believed and stood for.But the idea of touring so many countries does not sound cool to me as it makes no sense i might be wrong on this but instead of this tour his people should look at his life and emulate his good side and try to achieve the good things he once sought for his people
Romance / Re: Do University Relationships Ever Lead To Marriage? by Dele99: 12:41pm On Nov 29, 2011
most relationship hardly result in marriages today, sometime ago more university relationships resulted to marriages than today for many reasons.
Some years back the average university graduate was almost guaranteed of living a comfortable life after school than today's graduate. another factor is girls tend to marry at a younger age than men and their university boyfriend might not be financially ready and for girls age matter a lot because as they grow older their chance of getting married reduces so they find it hard to wait for anyone more especially when they are not sure their boyfriend will still marry them after waiting. Another reason is that in Nigerian university dating age mates does not look odd to men but when it comes to marriage they find it odd and there is the feeling of insecurity.

This country get many mumu and very people wey make up the majority of the over 160 million. If the named sponsors had not been from PDP many of you will be shouting and crying foul. Since they just started mentioning names we should all wait and hope their kingpin will be included rather than engaging in sentimental argument we. A possible solution to a plague that has affected everyone should not be shoved aside by tribalism. Boko haram stands for what most northerners wants irrespective of their allegiance to any party so its sponsors can be from any party.

I see 90% of Nigeria's problem reflecting here, we abandon the critical issues for irrelevant things.
We don't have to always compare them in order to prove their worth! We can learn from their lives and become

These are the two most excellent Nigerians of all times with their various aspects of global influence.
I am proud to be a Nigerian because of them.

To the initiator of this topic, would you say you did not know you were about causing something silly
knowing that Nigerians are likely to tilt towards tribalism? What do you expect, that soonest we will start bad
mouthing each other with the Ibos calling the Yorubas names and vice versa.

I have carefully X-rayed the duo, they had same educational foundation (of those old good days when
our education was well valued over those of the UK & US) from the same university around the same period,
what this should remind any agent of change is that we need an educational revolution back to the prestige of
those good old days.

How many Nigerians can speak good english like the duo today? Do we say minority or majority?
How many Nigerians have their level of integrity?
What value will comparing them add to our present situaton?
How do we tackle corruption without being selfish or tribal?
How do we salvage this country from this great political and economic tribulation melted on us by our politicians?
Do you have power to run your business?
Is your certificate fully accepted even in your country?
Does your vote count?
Have you actually had a balanced meal this morning?
Can your parents enjoy their old age without your input?
How many bills passed by the senate touched your life since 1999?
What percentage of Nigeria's budget touched your life since 1999?
Can you prevent a terrorist plane from crashing into your country's defence H/Q or Aso rock
like the Americans did for Pentagon?
How many Nigerians are poets?
How many Nigerians are even writers?
Who are you today and what are you hoping to become tommorrow?

Instead of allowing these rare gems (Soyinka & Achebe) divide us, why not use them as yardstick to measure
our national deviation.

I expect us to weep for our country and refuse evil leaders whos worth could only be reconciled
to corruption. They pretend loving Nigeria and therefore would die for political offices whereas in real terms
they are after money and political influence.

I see Nairaland as a forum of national unity and will be proud of a new Nigeria initiating its course
through this forum. Let's be Nigerians for the sake of Nigeria. Let's not propagate the silent fact; that
the only reason why Nigeria has not splitted is not that we love each other as ethnic nationalities but that
corruption has formed a vehicle for our leaders to understand themselves and bind us together through it.

I love Nigeria, i love Nairaland!

The only sensible quote on this thread.Nigeria will never move forward if nairaland gives a sample of how the average nigerian thinks.
