Family / Re: Tribal Mark On Your Child. Don't Laugh by krisunion: 8:59am On May 15, 2009
I think tribal marks are for identification. I have a colleague who has this horrible marks on his face. Got to know from him that whenever they (family members/ relations) see themselves , its easy to recognise one another.

Though, personally, I can't and won't fall for it. It seems it's common among the Oyo state people.

Yeah, the sound varies. One sound that has been missing from the list is "gboom". The type that leaves you surprised and shocked.

The topic may sound irritating but the truth is that everybody does it. Abi na lie? Who no dey do am make e raise hin hand up!
Romance / He Needs Help! by krisunion: 9:58am On May 14, 2009
The whole thing looks strange and awkward. Would you rather prefer your wife to be living a secretive life? Its either its a spiritual thing or psychological. Maybe its the condition under which the guy grew up. just don't seem to nderstand. So many men would even prefer to assist the wife in her make up.Even if the guy divorces the wife, and does not change, it will still be the same even with another woman. The guy sure needs help!

Religion / Re: Richest Men Of God In Nigeria by krisunion: 4:01pm On Aug 12, 2008
Boy, mind your words. God cannot call you and also allow you to live in penury. He calls and equips. There's no way you can effectively preach the gospel without money.

And in case you want to know, most of these men, due to what God has used them to do in the lives of others, get so much gifts, ranging from cash to material things.

There is a pastor in my place who just got a Jeep, as a gift.

Even if there are evil minded ones who milk their congregation, it is still very wrong to generalise. Boy, be careful. These men are God's annointed, and remember this , "touch not my prophets and do my annointed no harm, " Leave the fight for God. If any uses God's name to cheat, God can fight for His name sake,He is the 'know all and be all'.

LET HIM DEFEND HIS NAME. Ok?
Family / Re: Husband In Nite Clubs/discos by krisunion: 1:41pm On Jun 04, 2008
Chei! Na wao. I being think say dis na place where people dey try to unburden themselves. Why all dis bashing from fellow nairalanders? I still don't think it's fair.

I see Nairaland as a place to get advice, share opinion, views, etc. But someone comes out real and we blast the person as if say we don 4get the reason for being here.
I believe we are getting what we cannot get from the world out there-all the advice and exchange of opinion, and all the others.
Abeg, make we learn to take am easy with ourselves, we should be constructive in our criticisms.
Most people after their posts, end up regretting, b'cos of the way most of us react. It's just not the best. If you don't have anything to say/post, then don't, for God sake!
Crime / Re: Man Jailed For 'Six' Years Over Internet Fraud by krisunion: 11:56am On Jun 04, 2008

Though, crime na crime, weda small or big, but no body should be above the law.

All the others wey don commit weda in the past or present should be made to dance the music of the crime they've committed. Shikene!

Romance / Re: My Boyfriend Makes Me Cry by krisunion: 6:48pm On Apr 15, 2008
From the foregoing, it is evident that your guy is not thinking along the same line with you.
There is what we call "use and dump", I think that's what he wants to do to you. It's better you relax and just try to forget about him( I know it's not going to be easy, but just try).

\and who say school relationship, no dey result in marriage? Well, for yoyr information, I will be getting married in about 3/4 months time and the lady happened to be my friend and classmate in the university. We started it then, and by God's grace, we are ending it at the alter. So it works. It only depends on the parties involved- how sincere they are with one another.
My case is a worthy example. (mind you, we served in different states, she in the north, while i served in the east).
But we still came back 2geda.
Food / Re: Your Worst Cooking Mistake Ever! by krisunion: 6:00pm On Apr 15, 2008

Family / Rejoinder by krisunion: 4:44pm On Apr 15, 2008
just want to holla out to omo Ibo ofor that 1daful post. I am almost agreeing with you.
Come to think of it, all the striving, where dem dey end? They take you closer to one or more women.
You make so much money. But come to think of it, what do you do with it?
You end up spending lavishly just to make one woman happy.
I don't think it's totally a man's world. It's a 50-50 thing. I know so many (male chauvinists) will not agree to this.
Make you post ur views!

What makes a good wife? I think it's the character, the attitude she possesses. The ability to stand with your man, not just when the going is good, but when things go bad. There are still more qualities sha.
Family / Re: Only One Month To Live! by krisunion: 3:29pm On Apr 15, 2008
Somebody once advised; Live each day as if it were to be your last; The long and short of it is that one should live prepared.
As a Christian, I won't want to believe the quote, 'expect the unexpected'. I believe only the best is good enough for me. And the best is that which God wills for me. B'cos anything outside God's will may lead me to the point of "had I known".
Phillippians 4.8 summarises it all. this passage shows us where our minds should dwell on- whateveri s lovely, excellent, has virtue, etc.
So lets live well, relate well with our fellow beings and above all, "do unto others what you will want them to do unto you. the world is still sweet sha!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: No Longer An Arsenal Fan. Going To Manchester United by krisunion: 1:58am On Apr 12, 2008
Nightrider, why not be a true fan? Your kind of fan na only for good times abi?

See, a true fan will stick to his club no matter how deep in form the club has gone.

Does it wonder you to still find out that Newcastle still has a strong fan base?

What about teams like west ham, spurs, bolton, etc? You still see their fans cheering them not minding the fact that they are not playing for anything.

Your support, coupled with that of so many others can go a long way in helping them climb up the ladder again. My friend, don't be a fair weather fan(friend) but a true fan(friend)
Music/Radio / Re: 2face Blast Robbers In New Song by krisunion: 8:27pm On Apr 11, 2008
African China sang about corruption in the police force, he mentioned some other ills in the society, nobody made any noise. Meanwhile, Fela, Sunny Okosun, Ras Kimono, Mandators, Majek, Orits, infact, the list is endless, have all at one time or the other, sang about the ills in our society. A responsible government has so much to learn from the songs of musicians in any society.

Now, Tuface sang about armed robbery/robbers and we want to crucify am.Ahh, my people!Let's take a look at the issue @ stake and put the personality aside, (that will be treated under a different topic). What's wrong in that?
The song is like a wake up call. He's only adding his voice to the others -prominent and the ordinary-who at one time or the other called on the government to put a check to the spate of armed robbery attack in Nigeria.
So the guy no do any thing wrong with him lyrics. He got inspired from the ills in the society and he put it into a song. So wetin bad for that
Dating And Meet-up Zone / Re: Party For All Nairalanders? What Do You Think by krisunion: 8:49pm On Apr 10, 2008
The fun in dis our nairaland world is in the fact that it is a faceless world.
Those you like their posts may not be what you think, physically speaking.
You may enjoy somebody's post, but when una meet for real life, una no go fit flow, you no understand? I think am enjoying the fun in the house, even though am new . But nairaland seems a great idea. If na so the world be,life for sweet well well. The counsel/advise one gets here, the exchange of opinion, infact, nairaland is great. Kudos to all nairalanders!
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Be Careful Where U Send Ur C.v. by krisunion: 7:23pm On Apr 10, 2008
my brother, thanks for this timely advise. Most of us get fooled because when you consider how long you've stayed at home after graduation, you tend to become gullible,at least just to leave home everyday and to be able to take care of your self. At least for a guy, you will get married someday, some family members will humiliate you greatly just because you don't have money and some other stuff. All of these, even with the fact that one is no longer getting young, is enough to get one frustrared. But God help us sha. Thanks once again my brother
Religion / Re: The truth your pastor would not tell you about tithes by krisunion: 6:58pm On Apr 10, 2008
Why are people just out to cause confusion? If you don't believe in tithingm my brother, make you no bother yourself, but don't try to confuse or talk people into putting a stop to it. I believe that as a Christian, the bible is my guide. And i've not seen where it is written in the bible that tithing is wrong, or should be stopped. Even Abraham paid tithe, remember? If you pay your tithe, make you comot mind for where the money dey end, leave the rest for God. He has promised to release His blessings on those who pay their tithe( malachi ), and you know say God's blessings come in different ways. If you don't believe, make you leave am for those who believe. So, it's not just the pastor telling me to pay or not to pay, but because am convinced within me that paying my tithe opens me up to God's blessings. Shikena!
Music/Radio / Re: 2face Blast Robbers In New Song by krisunion: 6:29pm On Apr 10, 2008
Nigerians, lets learn to appreciate our own. Na dis one oyibo people take beta pass us.
Even outside Africa, they appreciate this guy's songs so much.
I was listening to a foreign radio station some time ago when they played Tuface' song, saying it's their song of the day. Wao! I was surprised.
His private life may not be anything to write home about, but musically, the guy is a star, a genius, We should also learn to attack issues, and not persons
Religion / Re: Scandal: Pastor Chris Oyakhilome In South African Trouble! by krisunion: 5:59pm On Apr 10, 2008
If you've come to know God and to have a personal experience that with Him, you will know that God can do anything- even what men call 'wonders', miracle', or whatever name. See, God is omnipotent,  He can do just anything, the miracles in the bible are no flukes.
Have you wondered how the world came to be?
The devil, I know, is very clever. He uses men to destroy/pull down men. That is his major way of causing distractions among followers of Christ.
If God calls a man, He also will equip him. Remember this-''these signs shall follow them that believe, My brothers, pls. read your bible very well.Beware of agents who spread the gospel of destruction, Pull Him Down Syndrome.
